0:50 sorry but as someone who has actually done this, you can't. The NXT doesn't have the required amperage to run buggy motors at full speed. It's also questionable that the prototype motor would have had the same specs as the buggy motor. It's even more than unlikely as NXT motors need sensors for motion feedback and slow speed for accuracy.
I’d still say the Gold NXT still technically DID release, although YES it wasn’t sold on shelves, Lego did produce copies of it and give them out. They just weren’t sold in stores.
I still have 1 really old train motor (like that in the vid but not clear sadly) and it’s still working! The battery box doesn’t work unfortunately because it has been killed by broken batteries. U can clearly see how the battery acid destroyed the plastic
@@Unbrickme there are some electrical parts missing and the plastic is damaged too so i don’t think i can fix it but i built a different battery wagon and i even found wires that fitted the motor so im using that whenever i play with it 🙂
Interesting video none-the-less, always interesting to see unreleased stuff, but damn do I hate being told or even asked to like videos, if it's worth a like I will throw a like. If it's asked for I never will.
Welp Ivan. See you in 2028 or 2038 when you work for LEGO and get invited to a party where you get a rare LEGO Electronic! Would like to see it.
That would be epic! Thanks!

Maybe, but there were only 30 copies, all of which were handed out to only the attendees of an invite only party
Wow, these look cool :D! didn't know gave out prototypes or clear/see-through versions of its motors and battery boxes, though.
Glad you learned something :)
@@Unbrickme Yeah, thanks! :)
I still have no idea what they were thinking with the NXT motors. It's such an awkward and hard to use shape.
If there is "no pressure", why not to use actuators? :)
You need to use the vacuum system...
Hey while talking about the nxt motor the screen just goes black when I think you’re trying to add a picture of it
The screen never went black for me
@@Unbrickme huh idk if it’s just on my end then, sorry to bother you then
@@Unbrickme I love your videos btw I’ve watched a bunch of them

Aw man, would it be possible to clean the battery box so that it’s working again? Or do you have to get a new one?
