Lyrics:
End of passion play, crumbling away
I'm your source of self-destruction
Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
Leading on your death's construction
Taste me, you will see
More is all you need
You're dedicated to
How I'm killing you
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life burns faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of puppets, I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Needlework the way, never you betray
Life of death becoming clearer
Pain monopoly, ritual misery
Chop your breakfast on a mirror
Taste me you will see
More is all you need
You're dedicated to
How I'm killing you
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life burns faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of puppets, I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Master, master
Where's the dreams that I've been after?
Master, master
You promised only lies
Laughter, laughter
All I hear and see is laughter
Laughter, laughter
Laughing at my cries
Fix me
Hell is worth all that, natural habitat
Just a rhyme without a reason
Never-ending maze, drift on numbered days
Now your life is out of season
I will occupy
I will help you die
I will run through you
Now I rule you, too
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life burns faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of puppets, I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Lets be honest, you tuned your guitar in Eb for another song and now you are lazy to tune it again
@@Ljfsmith yeah that's a reason too
YES
I have Floyd rose, it take far too long for my liking haha
Jimi Hendrix did the same thing.
True.
this version is more haunting than the original
Best one ever.
fr and the interlude is more emotional
@@nssteampunk4865 Mate This Sounds Bloody Terrifying This Sounds Like A Video Game But Scary
Dont know why but that comment made me smile 😂
😊@@Feline_King98
The only problem of Master of Puppets: it was not recorded in E flat. This track got perfect \m/
It was recorded a lot slower in E standard and sped up to E
@@cheetosunpuffed7906 That doesn't make any sense.
@@XXLRebel bro, you can find a video here on YT where a man explain it. And its just like cheetos boy said. They recorded it with a little lower tune and slower, and then speeded up the song to match the standard tune. If i remember the name of the video i put it here, but im sure you can find it
@@anonimerda88 but then it should sound in tune, when ur guitar is tuned in 440 it still sound kinda out of tune.
@@anonimerda88 that surprises me seeing as when playing it live, they went faster than the album's tempo
This is what people who don't listen to metal say the original sounds like.
Just like the live version
I Mean Love They're Lives But Wish Cliff Burton Was Still Alive Robert Is Okay But Cliff Is Better And Fucking Insane
FINALLY SOMEONE UPLOADED THIS! THANK YOU MAN!
E flat makes every standard tuned song better
I agree. Sometimes E standard sounds a little too happy to my ears. E flat can sound dreamy and beautiful while also sounding haunting.
Why?
Finally someone gets it in HQ. Great job man :)
This is so much better than standard tuning
Not only does the tuning make the instruments sound darker, it also gives hetfield a more manly voice closer to his 1988-91 era
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Isn’t this how it is live?
yeo
Yes
Since the Load/Reload days. I'm glad they haven't gone down to D standard like Megadeth. Their old tunes just don't sound right in that particular tuning, in my opinion. It would be like if Metallica played everything in C# standard. I don't think I'd care for that, either, with the exception of "The Thing That Should Not Be".
i read they actually recorded it in e flat and sped it up to make it tighter.
Indexfossil L ‘86 James can’t consistently keep his vocals that low.
They recorded the riff really slowly in D and then sped it up to E. James recorded vocals after speeding the riff up to get the pitch and key right.
@Don1103-y7c for the sake of tightness in the performance. They did it a lot back in the 80s
St anger in Eb
When you use Slayers tuning yeah!!!!
And Alice in chains tuning too! 🤟
Sounds More Alice In Chains To Me
so fuckin' yeahh
Happy Halloween 2023!!
Thank me for speed this up to 1.25x because it sounds like Slayer now.
Metallica does not sound like Slayer. That's like saying they would sound like Mötley Crüe if they tuned to D standard. 🤦
@@nckhed I know dude
For the people saying we are just to lazy to tune our guitars up!! Bullshit, it’s just that EVERYTHING SOUNDS BETTER IN “Eb”😃😃🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
It feels offputting hearing james’ 1986 vocals in this tuning.
Sounds like black album James lmao
@@Hieraldrich That's true. I never noticed that. I think James sounds scarier in E flat. 😂
❤❤❤
The dueling leads and solo sound cooler half step down.
Trivium made a cover in this tunning
@Jensiron2 Thanks, I just subscribed.
Can you please upload the black album in eb tuning? If you could, that would be great.
1.25x or 1.5x slayer
The Van Canto Version is in the same tuning
Halloween 2020?
Ah yes, the load/reload tuning, sounds slower too
If it aint metal IT'S CRAP!
