@@mjag2834 What part of my comment sounded indoctrinated to you? The implication that facts should require empirical evidence and everything else should be spoken about like personal beliefs instead?
To them, God and Lucifer are literally embodiments of goodness and evil. They're the celestial Good Cop, Bad Cop to keep people in line, because inherent morality isn't enough for them. So to even imply that their Bad Cop might actually be good... well, without their own morality to lean on, all they can imagine coming from that is chaos and cruelty. They don't understand that morality has nothing to do with their religion.
@@IceMetalPunk Which is funny, because that idea of Lucifer as the ultimate evil, is a historically recent idea/development. Recent, as in, compared to how long Christianity have been around. If you went back to the Middle Ages, hardcore christians from back then wouldn't have any concept of the devil as he is perceived today. The devil in christianity was historically more of a joker and sexually seductive character, NOT the big evil he later became.
Okay. Now, let's be clear on who god is. God is the monster in the fairytale book called the bible because during Adam and Eve, god specifically put the tree of knowledge and baited them to eat it. Why even put the tree there in the first place? God didn't not want humans to have "knownledge of self" and was mad that they ate the apple, and recognized they were naked. Why knowledge is seen as bad by God? I don't know. It's was the devil who gave us knowledge. God really wanted to keep us as ignorant pets. God killed all living things including babies in Noah's flood because we didn't worship him enough. I mean, god is the deadliest serial killer known to man. God didn't not let his only son died for our sins since he never actually died. He rose up after 3 days. I wouldn't call that a sacrifice if you knew you will rise again and eat some more bacon. God is the monster in the bible because he kills without a care in the world for the most basic perceived slight. He ask for burnt flesh and human sacrifices. He order the death of Abraham son to prove his loyalty. If you haven't met that God yet, then you would wish you never meet him. It's all fairytales, yet, you want that monster to be real!? Yet, you want to say its,the context and riddles or god is testing his human slaves/subjects.
@Shamiul Pervez So all the times he committed genocide in the Bible... the times he murdered innocent children in addition to those genocides... that's "not a monster" to you?
I've been watching the series since season one and I think the problem with Fox was the length of episodes. There were 20-23 episodes and even though it's done well on the first two seasons, by season 3 even I saw that writers were struggling to fill out the episodes. On Season 3 there were so many filler episodes that I wasn't surprised when it got cancelled. I was sad though. But when Netflix picked it up, we had great 10 episodes. None of them was a filler.
That's a big part of it. Another issue is something the showrunners have gone on record saying: Fox pressured them into focusing more on the detective case of the week than they wanted to and didn't let them explore the supernatural elements as much as they planned.
Yeah so true. Also christian on TikTok are so rude to people who don’t believe in their religion, and also I think it’s kind of cool to show a different and unique side of the devil. That’s why I like the show.
Exactly my thoughts too ;) I'm a christian and at first I didn't want to watch this show but now I can't wait to watch season 5! But I just prefer to watch Tom Ellis being an awfully handsome devil so I mostly 'forget' that he should be acting he's the devil xD
The world of Preacher is far too weird and supernatural to cross over with the real mundane world of Lucifer. Despite there being angels and demons everything else in the world of Lucifer is pretty normal
For the first fact- the comics are the reason I started to watching the series. When you said that there is no mention of Jesus in the show, you are wrong. In the pure Christian belife, the angel Michael became into Jesus body after 3 days of death. When Linda and Amanedial were thinking of a name, Linda suggest the name "Mikel" which basically means Michael after the angel and Amanedial freaked out from this.
2:24 _"... depiction of Lucifer as a good guy ..."_ This is exactly what those guys don't want to realize since ages. If there was a god, what creates a world like this, then Lucifer is just the good guy.
5:32 actually they did, I don’t remember the episode, but it was when Lucifer stopped the fully accelerated SUV with his hands, the driver said, “Jesus!” and Lucifer said “Not quite”.
A perfect cameo for a Jesus mention would be Lucifer to see someone dressed up as Jesus and walks over to them saying “that he doesn’t look like that, ya know?”
I was going to ask why someone would be dressed as Jesus, but then I remembered the show takes place in LA, so... yeah, nothing out of the ordinary for that city 😂
Sorry, I have a correction for your video above. Although Lucifer never mentions Jesus, in Season 4; Episode 1, the Marshall responsible for killing people on the "witness protection program" is attempting to flee in an SUV and Lucifer picks up the back of the vehicle preventing the power-train (wheels) to allow him to drive away. He then turns around and sees what is happening and says "Jesus!" to which Lucifer replies "not quite". Oops...
Im christian and i love this show. What is written isn't always true so i like how they show lucifer as a misunderstood villan he isnt evil he just punishes evil i really like that.
The name of the club could also originate from the latin Luxuria, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Lust seems like an appropriate and quite fitting name for the place
Actually in season 4 episode 1 when lucifer breaks the window of the car the US Marshall says "Jesus" and Lucifer replies "Not quite" 😂 just thought I'd leave that there 😂😂
Yeah... why would of bunch of people who murdered one of their own in one of the most horrifying of methods of execution available about two thousand years ago want to bring up the one guy who proved them wrong in everything and literally became a god and took his rightful Place in Heaven after his own people murdered him? Hah!
Well.... not entirely. But yeah, it does seem to pull from Jewish mythology a bit more than Christian myths. The showrunners have explicitly said, though, that they didn't call Mum "Asherah" because they don't want to be confined to one religious basis.
1 - The TL:DW version is "the show is based on a comic, but very loosely. 2 - Early on, in the episode with Wobble, where he says he wishes people would stop using Judgement Day, it's "not due for a couple of years" and then during S3 or S4, or between them, the DC crossover, Crisis on Infinite (multiple?) Earths, where he mentioned he watched worlds blink away. 3 - I hope they don't ruin it with S5.
Slight correction: though Crisis on Infinite Earths aired after season 4, because each universe is offset from others in time, the creators of the show confirmed that the Lucifer/Constantine crossover scene took place years before season 1 of Lucifer.
Yeah i thought more people knew he was a dc comic book character but when my uncle saw him in crisis he was like why is lucifer in there and I had to explain it to him
Fox is notorious for cancelling good shows like Lethal Weapon and Lucifer. Big mistake in firing Clayne Crawford. Lucifer has the staying power to last a dozen seasons!!
Actually they did mention 'Jesus' one time during one of the episodes where Lucifer was chasing someone whonis trying to get away with his car and at one point he yelled "Jesus!" not exactly sure but i think it was on one of the episodes in season 2 I think
Well, let's compare the Biblical characters of Lucifer and God. Lucifer: gave humans knowledge and the ability to have our own morality when God refused to let us. Punishes evil people in the afterlife. Was most punished himself for rebelling against God, an act which would only be bad if God were someone worth being loyal to.... God: Commits multiple genocides, tries to prevent humanity from learning anything, murders at least one group of children by mauling them to death with a pack of bears just because they made fun of his friend (Elisha), demands unquestioning obedience on threats of torture, commands parents to brutally murder their children if they ever disobey them, sends angels to rape women, etc. I dunno, based entirely on the Bible... I think Lucifer's a much better person than Yaweh ever was.

I dont get why christians would sign a petition saying Lucifer was portrayed wrong luke how tf would yall know
To them, God and Lucifer are literally embodiments of goodness and evil.
@Shamiul Pervez see their obedience unjust probed him right
@Shamiul Pervez So all the times he committed genocide in the Bible... the times he murdered innocent children in addition to those genocides... that's "not a monster" to you?
It’s way better since Netflix picked it up, like the story lines and the effects I’m glad that it gained attention
Fabulous show! I've watched all episodes twice, so far.
Pulchra Vespertilio yeah same I also liked him in accident man. Good movie
Wished there was a crossover with Lucifer and Preacher. Imagine Lucifer and Jesse Custer getting drunk and talking about the meaning of life.
That would be wierd.
@@YTEdy Well Preacher was a good ,but still a weird show. I really want to see more action between Luci and Constantine.
Considering Lucifer, Constantine, and Preacher are from DC comics, probably still possible?
@@iliyankaramfilov1676
That makes a lot more sense.
The world of Preacher is far too weird and supernatural to cross over with the real mundane world of Lucifer. Despite there being angels and demons everything else in the world of Lucifer is pretty normal
6:42 I saw that
It’s an Apple Mac user
The untold truth of looper
Top right corner
imagine the last season is about jesus and lucifer
i dunno why but that version feels all hot and steamy
michael is in the new season
His face when he said "I wore orgie pants at work" was too hilarious
i love this show, thanks for making a video about it
Can't wait for the new series.
That supernatural Episode where Sam asks lucifer what he will do after the apocalypse
Lucifer responds MOVE TO LA AND SOLVE CRIME 🤣😅😂
For the first fact- the comics are the reason I started to watching the series.
When you said that there is no mention of Jesus in the show, you are wrong. In the pure Christian belife, the angel Michael became into Jesus body after 3 days of death. When Linda and Amanedial were thinking of a name, Linda suggest the name "Mikel" which basically means Michael after the angel and Amanedial freaked out from this.
he only was opposed to that name because he doesnt have a good relationship with his brother who is also named Michael
Fell for the show on season1 ep #9 and look forward to season 6!!!

_"... depiction of Lucifer as a good guy ..."_
This is exactly what those guys don't want to realize since ages.
If there was a god, what creates a world like this,
then Lucifer is just the good guy.
I first watched the show before I realized Neil Gaiman was the original author of the comics. I was a fan of his work even before this :).
Lmao I’m christian but I LOVE this show I’ve watched it a million times nothing is gonna change my mind
Loved Tom Ellis in Miranda. He’s handsome and a good actor
I just recently discovered that show. I thought it was hilarious.
5:32 actually they did, I don’t remember the episode, but it was when Lucifer stopped the fully accelerated SUV with his hands, the driver said, “Jesus!” and Lucifer said “Not quite”.
I'd note that Lucifer has little in common with his comic book predecessor.
Pretty much it took them season 4 to get to Supernatural stuff
agree!! oh i'd love to see Elaine belloc on the show tho but again daughter of michael/ghost/GODdess probably won't be easy to add her.
@@dcmarvelcomicfans9458 That's not true, they've had supernatural stuff since episode 1.
Awesome video 👌
It is a great story and excellent morals behind it if someone should use their minds for just a few minutes
It really is the show got me through a tough time in my life during my high school days.
I love Lucifer it’s a great show and Ellis is perfect ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Let's go.... Lucifer... Can't wait any more
Devil lands on earth: first thing he does
*Opens a nightclub and HELPS the police*
Sorry, I have a correction for your video above. Although Lucifer never mentions Jesus, in Season 4; Episode 1, the Marshall responsible for killing people on the "witness protection program" is attempting to flee in an SUV and Lucifer picks up the back of the vehicle preventing the power-train (wheels) to allow him to drive away. He then turns around and sees what is happening and says "Jesus!" to which Lucifer replies "not quite". Oops...
RIGHT! IT'S SO! AND SO THE NAME OF JESUS WAS SAID IN THE SERIES!
Im christian and i love this show. What is written isn't always true so i like how they show lucifer as a misunderstood villan he isnt evil he just punishes evil i really like that.
I love this show! And i would so be friends with Lucifer! Long live Lucifer!! I am watching it all over again!! Lol!
I was reluctant to watch the show but is amazing. I watched twice already
Detective!
This came out 6 days ago. Why the hell did I just received a notification from UA-cam that it's been uploaded.
Have to admit that's one series I miss. It was fun, proactive, strong and deep. People just can't open their small minds to the big picture. 😈😈
Why do you miss it? It's still going on! 😃 Another two seasons.
Got it haven't been following the industry lately. Looking forward to the seasons.
"Who we just want to hug and tell him everything is gonna be okay" Is the state in which all lucifans perpetually exist.
Tom took the role all the way to the top!
The name of the club could also originate from the latin Luxuria, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Lust seems like an appropriate and quite fitting name for the place
Actually in season 4 episode 1 when lucifer breaks the window of the car the US Marshall says "Jesus" and Lucifer replies "Not quite" 😂 just thought I'd leave that there 😂😂
Love Tom Ellis he’s plays the characters really well
I’m a classic man I see Tom Ellis show Lucifer and I click like
The show is based on Jewish lore and mythology. Simple as that, for a reason why J never around.
Yeah... why would of bunch of people who murdered one of their own in one of the most horrifying of methods of execution available about two thousand years ago want to bring up the one guy who proved them wrong in everything and literally became a god and took his rightful Place in Heaven after his own people murdered him? Hah!
Well.... not entirely.
@@IceMetalPunk That just takes all the fun out of it.
Out of the topic but, I just accidentally saw the mouse cursor around 6:40 to 6:45.
1 untold truth about Lucifer: *Pretending to be Tom Ellis*
Yeah i thought more people knew he was a dc comic book character but when my uncle saw him in crisis he was like why is lucifer in there and I had to explain it to him
i never thought that lucifer would make an appearance on looper
"fox is known for canceling shows too soon" Box Network definitely comes to mind
Is it said somewhere that Sandman "follows" new testament?
more old then new.
"Bible, that means Jesus" is just shows they weren't too wake at school.
@@Pienimusta or you don't know the difference between the son and the father.
It's a great show and everyone who doesn't like it, screw them.
Fox is notorious for cancelling good shows like Lethal Weapon and Lucifer. Big mistake in firing Clayne Crawford. Lucifer has the staying power to last a dozen seasons!!
Idk if I'm the only one but I watched all the seasons 3 times.
All I’m saying is if Tom Ellis doesn’t go on to be really big after Lucifer I’m gonna be pissed
My cat had the same name I called him Lucifer and my other cat was called Nosferatio and I loved theme
My dad called his black cat. "Pisscapus" or something like that one time. means devil or something in another language
One hell of a show
Actually they did mention 'Jesus' one time during one of the episodes where Lucifer was chasing someone whonis trying to get away with his car and at one point he yelled "Jesus!" not exactly sure but i think it was on one of the episodes in season 2 I think
Tom is like the rdj to my iron man to his lucifer.
Once of the best shows on the box atm :D
Can't wait now 🥺
I mean one mention of Jesus is in season 4 where the bad guy says “Jesus” and Lucifer says “not quite” but that’s the only subtle mention.
For me the thing that made me realize that everybody can change...even the devil can change
Right after The Originals finished, this concept was ridiculous but the quality of the show is so good, storyline kinda doesn't matter now...Iove it
I love Lucifer!! I am currently watching season 2 on Netflix.
After watching lucifer it actually did make think about is the devil really evil after all
Well, let's compare the Biblical characters of Lucifer and God.
My favorite show!
Can’t hardly wait to see Lucifer Again if he ever shows up in the Arrowverse!
He did for like 3-4 minutes
trevaughn fogle
“Again”
i think i'd prefer it if constantine guested on Lucifer, that would be fun to watch
Best series ever
