I loved watching these videos. I actually started to tear up a few times, because I would LOVE to make Aliyah. But I'm not Jewish. I have been to Israel twice, but once I arrived the first time I knew that Israel was my home. I pray HaShem will make the way for my wife (who longs for Israel almost as much as I do) and I to return this fall. HaShem's blessing to you and your family, Jamie. What a different time. Only a decade ago. 😢 My, “meeting Jamie Geller,” story is also different. We (my four children and I) were passing through Spring Valley trying to get to safety. I stopped to get gas. To cry. To ask for help. Who could I ask? We tried to rest. Then you pulled into the parking lot Jamie, and I was thrilled and horrified. My cooking hero was literally yards away, and I was in the crisis moment of my lifetime. But seeing you gave me hope. By the faces of the people around us I knew someone made a phone call. Everyone was on alert. Our journey to safety ended shortly after, and not in our favor. I have not seen my children since that day. B”H that every time I remember that moment at the gas station I also remember hope. Your channel and life bring more to this world than just food and stories of living. Jamie, You bring HaShem to earth. I promised myself if I ever was given an opportunity to tell you that I would. Thank you for having the courage to travel this mitzvah for your children. You gave me courage to do the same for mine. ❤

I just recently found out i am sephardic jewish from my mums line, 6 generations ago my great great x6 grandma immigrated to sweden from northern germany. I have all the papers & dna tests which prove her family came from the netherlands, before from spain/portugal ;) I wanna make aliyah soon too!

Hello, just found you and very envious i think. i was supposed to get a trip to israel from my former employers but the economy went bad and we had to close shop last year.david jokes i am more Jewish then he is. i have doubled my holidays as i spend the Jewish ones with them. i'm Christian, as you know the foundation is Judism. if i could would go aliyah myself. as i watched i found myself crying. happy for you all and kind of sad that i can't. well maybe one day i will get to visit.
