We may be used to cow leather, but in the eyes of people from certain other religions, we are doing worse than making coats out of dog. I love my dogs to pieces, but find it hypocritical to get overly pissed at Cruella when I’m sitting there wearing shoes made from the skin of a god-cow.
Honestly I think it’s because villains like Cruella and Gaston were very realistic. Cruella was a wealthy, selfish criminal who used her privilege and wealth as a weapon, and as we got older it was less about “Oh my god a puppy-coat”, (Although I think it says something else entirely that she wanted a coat made out of puppies- instead of a larger dog who could provide less fur, she on purpose wanted to kill *as many* smaller animals to make her coat as possible; which I believe illustrates perfectly her character as someone who cares only for herself and someone who doesn’t mind causing pain to others; also the fact those puppies are someones pet and not animals raised for that purpose, etc etc). Her ethics are dark and cruel, and she mostly gets by on wealth and status alone. We see that all the time in the real world, much like every woman I feel has a Gaston, a raging sexist, misogynistic guy who desperately tries to bed them and negs them constantly. These villains look like people we know, and people we may even care about. They’re more based in reality than say a talking lion like Scar. I think that’s why those types of villains are “Scarier” than more outlandish ones that kids see! *also please note like killing animals for fashion purposes only is rather barbaric and most leather goods only exist to use the hides driven from food/meat production, so while the ethics of owning genuine animal-coats and products is murky and fraught with complexities due to capitalism and class and I’d never shame someone for owning that sort of product, we’re talking about fictional dogs so I think it’s easier to be more flippant about the topic of a dog-coat. The colour story of that Kiko palette is perfect for the brand's target audience. I think they wanted to do something fun with the packaging but I just don't get why they went with kiwi. They could've gone with peach. That would've been SO cute.

TJ Maxx is the only reason I own any ABH! I think I got an early version of Subculture from there (without talc). The mattes are dry, hard to blend, and they get really muddy. Don't worry too much about missing out!

Mac (and any other brand in this situation) tests on animals bcs it has a huge Chinese market, and in China by law you have to test all cosmetics on animals. Not really a fan of Mac but would just like to point this out that a lot of big brands probs wouldn't continue testing on animals but don't want to loose the Chinese market. Especially Mac who's been doing poorly in USA and EU but is still huge in Asia.

I saw fenty at tkmaxx (the UK equivalent) over the weekend! It was just a couple of foundations but interesting to see it there! I also found the becca sunset palette there (a lot of them), and the huda desert dusk palette!
I've been to a few TK Maxx's recently in the UK, and have seen a TON of Huda (the neon 9 pans and desert dusk palette), Becca including the face palette you mentioned and the ABH Alyssa Edwards and Riviera palettes... and like A LOT of it. I've been seeing the Alyssa Edwards palette in multiple tk maxx stores for months. Loved your vid as always!
i personally do NOT recommend buying makeup from stores like marshals because an article did come out from an employee who said that the makeup they sell is used or opened which is very dangerous... unless it its sealed and in original packaging which hasn't been tampered with, I would not recommend buying beauty products from those types of stores

It’s funny to hear the difference between shops in different countries. In the UK the TJMaxx makeup section is hilarious 😂 it just looks like someone emptied their makeup bag, the stuff they have is so random and there are hardly any repeats. So usually there will be only 1 of something.

I saw fenty at tkmaxx (the UK equivalent) over the weekend! It was just a couple of foundations but interesting to see it there! I also found the becca sunset palette there (a lot of them), and the huda desert dusk palette!

I've been to a few TK Maxx's recently in the UK, and have seen a TON of Huda (the neon 9 pans and desert dusk palette), Becca including the face palette you mentioned and the ABH Alyssa Edwards and Riviera palettes... and like A LOT of it. I've been seeing the Alyssa Edwards palette in multiple tk maxx stores for months. Loved your vid as always!
one of the first "real" palettes i ever got was from tjmaxx: too faced's white peach. it's still a complete fave. i use it all the time.
The Teddy Bare palette is soooo cute though, I don't own a lot of high end makeup, but I am genuinely considering getting this one for my birthday.

i personally do NOT recommend buying makeup from stores like marshals because an article did come out from an employee who said that the makeup they sell is used or opened which is very dangerous... unless it its sealed and in original packaging which hasn't been tampered with, I would not recommend buying beauty products from those types of stores
I always check the expiration date, I’ve found stuff that was four or five years old before... you can check with the batch code on the box

Hannah, I would LOVE to see your take on a video about the downfall of collector’s mentality/ overconsumption and how that has affected brands. So many of the brands u mentioned here relied on the “collectors” for a long time but ultimately that has hurt them in the end when market behavior shifted. Just a thought that I could see you doing a lot with!

No; stop it! You're encouraging lazy palettes lol. Wouldn't you rather have a GOOD kiwi palette? This one you could literally make, for cheaper, by taking any other palette and sticking a kiwi sticker to it. That's the same thing as what you're getting with this.
