Fabulous!!! I've played organ most of my life and can only get the organ sound out of my Hammond E300 series, so I just love the different voices in this piece. Fantastic job!
Incredible performance! Your rendition is very true to Henry Mancini's. Keep up the good work as artist like yourself are an inspiration to others as well as to myself.
Hello David. I'm still seeing a few very jealous people leaving derogatory coments. Don't let them "get under your skin." Your skill, talent and style are A++++. We both continue to enjoy your music. Best regards, Bob & Linda, Ontario, Canada
You are to be commended for your professionalism in this presentation. And i must agree with the BaritoneCrooner, Buddy & Henry are looking down smiling watching this. Good Job!!!
Awesome! One of my all time favorite tv shows as well as this theme song as my favorite Foxtrot. Thanks for posting. Will have to listen to all your arrangements as you're playing a lot of my favorite tunes. I played the piano for years but arthritis put an end to that three years ago. Thanks again!
This is just soooo much fun! I remember the Puyallup Fair and I was always drawn to that place near the scones under the Grandstand...where beautiful organ music was played but it was never as good as this!! Thank You!!
I have loved this piece since I first heard it. I am only 22, and hence have never seen the show (although that could change, since the show is on ME-TV now), but Dad has a stereo LP of "Music from 'Mr. Lucky'" in mint condition, and the entire album is fantastic. The theme itself just oozes sexiness.
Fabulous, The voice is the best instrument of all.I hope you are using it.It seems good taste runs in your family.. I sing too. I really like this version of M.L., but obviously the Henry Mancini is the ONE. ;-)
I had a look at your channel James, and have to say you do have refreshing taste for a 22 year old. Do you play an instrument yourself. As far as the theme from Mr Lucky goes, it has blown me away since I first heard it. I can assure you the show was average. The theme was the star,.the combination of strings and the keyboard is breathtaking and the melody is perfect I never tire of it.. You will have a ball discovering things that have been buried for years.now made accessible by UA-cam :-)
Mr Mancini,...was born in Cleveland Ohio , then the family moved to Beaver Valley , PA. I am not sure on that. We have a great pride in Him. So what key do you play it in? Thanks again, for those black and white TV golden age TV Themes, I remember some thing like MR Lucky goes Latin. Please David see if you can find some songs from that album.
How much more fun to play is the electronic organ vs. the piano? It's not even close. The organ is a carnival, and the piano is, well, work. I've played both since 1968. There's no comparison for me. Just watch this video, imagine yourself playing, and tell me I'm wrong! I double dare ya!
I've lost the count on how many times I've watched this video. I never get tired wathing to it.
Wow fantastic,!!such a stunning time, from the TV show Me Lucky.
Fabulous!!! I've played organ most of my life and can only get the organ sound out of my Hammond E300 series, so I just love the different voices in this piece. Fantastic job!

A classic by Henry Mancini.
Beautiful !! I love this song it brings back so many memories of the elegance of another time that I was luckily privy too.

This man knows his way around that instrument. Many can play the notes to this Mancini classic but HE acually makes music.
This is the most beautiful theme song ever.
Most tasteful performance, Thank you!
Henry Mancini and Buddy Cole are smiling from above!
Beautifully played. So much better than anyone else on UA-cam.
I adore your rendition of this beautiful song.
David...you were born 60 years too late!! you have a coolness way beyond your years...thank you for a wonderful post...
Bravo!!! Though nothing can replace the mighty Hammond -- your rendition is superb.
mancini really knew his stuff, that´s for sure, and a good performance!
You are to be commended for your professionalism in this presentation. And i must agree with the BaritoneCrooner, Buddy & Henry are looking down smiling watching this. Good Job!!!

That was pretty amazing to see someone get so much from an instrument.

eny body now how old the organ key board is ,,,
It was Done on a Hammond!
I come from a very musical family, however my only instrument is my voice, which is good enough, I think.
So would have Buddy Cole, the organist in the original recording.
Lenny Dee does a superb version as well
++1 ✔ !!!!
However the for your criticism to be valid the thing would have played on its own, the person playing this instrument is no computer you dunce.
