A good man, awesome competitor, a man of his word! He made a decision of family, life and safety over NASCAR, and I respect that! No doubt deserving to be recognized as one of the best!
Kenny, thanks so much for posting this honoring of Carl and it’s gratifying to see him get credit for his years in Busch and NASCAR. I always felt he was the real deal. Would not have had a chance to see this news conference if you hadn’t posted! Thx
I applaud Carl for fulfilling his dreams, and Nascar was just one of those. Being able to make one of your dreams come true is awesome! I do miss watching him on the track but, I'm equally happy for him to live life on his terms.
At this point, I honestly do not blame Carl for not wanting to come back...... he realized that it was time to pass the torch to the younger generation, and I think he has clearly content with his career and seems to be a lot happier now that he's moved on.
I feel like he’s still mad about losing that championship because they threw a yellow flag that they shouldn’t of NASCAR took a championship away from this guy. I don’t know what year it was, but he should’ve won that championship and they threw a late caution flag that cost him the championship and they should’ve never done that.
Well, it's super cool to hear from him, see him at a track, but although he left a sliver of "Never say never" ` nope, he aint coming back. I was always a fan - tell ya what, if he got done wrong, he let the guy know face to face - also went the other way some times but he was open and said what he meant. We saw him grow a lot in his time racing. Kind of guy that made everything better that he was there. God man, doesn't look like he's aged at all - still ripped ~ The guy always had that discipline.
I think every time he shows up at the track he gets a stronger itch to drive something again. He can say what he wants but I believe race car drivers never lose that urge for competition and desire to feel the rush of racing as nothing else could provide the same feeling.
Cousin Carl isn't gonna race where the competition is already on their top level and he hadn't driven since 2016. Wise decision and the next gen car is much more different than the previous generation car.
Carl is really good also. I remember when Brad Keselowski said he was the best driver in NASCAR. that means a lot considering the rivalry they used to have
I don’t think he is coming back. He has plenty of money and he is enjoying life with his family. He has nothing to prove. To think Carl Edwards can just jump back in and be competitive is foolish. Jimmie Johnson has returned and doesn’t look close to a 7 time champion. It’s tough to step away and comeback at an elite level.
There certainly is risk involved in the modern top level of NASCAR. Wrecks are programmed into the mix. Carl looks in the best of condition to do it and may drag some fans back to the highest level of pavement racing in the country but it's going to take major changes in the leadership and the cars to make it viable. He'll also have to drag some money along with him. It's not talent and skill that gets you a ride these days.
Leave this man alone. He’s done racing. He’s become a fan. If anything. I think he’d make a great pit reporter or even up in the both. But leave him alone about coming back to race again. Tony’s XRS would be his best option to get back behind the wheel. If he wanted to.
@@KennyWallace36 Serious question for you about the local track/dirt guys and their team/crew. Do the guys who work on those cars get paid or do they do because it's something they enjoy doing? I imagine it would be harder to beat a team with an all paid crew vs for fun crew. Is it hard to find guys to stay committed to the team when it's for fun?
Chicago will be one big cluster f. Hopefully this is the first and last. A couple RC a year is ok. Glen and Sonoma. I like oval racing with oval racing cars. They built the next gen more for rc. More short tracks less RC. And fix Atlanta back the way it was, I could watch Imsa if I liked that. Are they actually going to build the auto club short track. I don’t see why it would’ve took 2 years. The stands are there. And there better be 2 Bristol races on concrete. I’m on a roll this evening. Lol. People will be pissed when there cable is 150$ plus a month then they have to buy peacock in 2025 to watch all the races.
Carl got out at the perfect time. Nascar has been down hill since, from lowering HP. All the different packages etc. now a pos car that I don’t see ever being a good as car as the gen 6 when it had 800+ hp.
He tried to kill Brad Keselowski, more than once. I never liked him. Glad he's gone. Never been missed. Edwards was going to get involved (invest) in reopening I-70 Speedway. Backed out like I knew he would. Stewart literally stole the Championship. Won 5 of last 10. With Carl talking smack.
Carl Edwards Was Great, He Was Very Brave, Very Talented, and Humble... Like Bobby Isaac,,, Carl,,, May of Heard Voices... Remember,,, He Just STOPPED,,, No Fan Fair,,, No Last Year Tour,,, Just STOPPED lll Best Part, He Put "Brad Kowa-Bonga Dude" on His Lid,,,, That Was GREAT !!! "Kowa-Bonga Dude" Was and Is,,, A Nasty Work of Art....

That's pretty awesome that actually hear Carl Edwards talk. It's been a long time since I heard anything from Carl Edwards. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I applaud Carl for fulfilling his dreams, and Nascar was just one of those. Being able to make one of your dreams come true is awesome! I do miss watching him on the track but, I'm equally happy for him to live life on his terms.
He would be good for the SRX series
Man I miss him, happy to see him again, I understand him not wanting to come back, truly respect the decision he has made.
Carl is a great person and I am sure if he would to drive again he would always give 100%
He was always a class act and still is.
At this point, I honestly do not blame Carl for not wanting to come back...... he realized that it was time to pass the torch to the younger generation, and I think he has clearly content with his career and seems to be a lot happier now that he's moved on.
His feelings got shattered cos caught "cheated" out of the championship
I wish he would come back he was my favorite driver
Really miss him and his competitiveness on the track. Super happy they are honouring him at the Nashville Super Speedway.
Love Carl so much one of the nice guys true mid West guys
How cool to hear him mention my hometown legend I grew up watching. Danny Crane. Legend.
Carl can make a guest appearance on NCIS as Palmer's Brother.
He actually made a cameo in “24” as a Homeland Security agent
I would love to see him in the booth!
Please Carl, come back!! Great dude

How many here remember Carl's tiny little advertisement in back of the National Speed Sport News publication? That's where I first learned his name.
Thank you for this. Good to see and wouldn’t have if not for your channel
For as much as we'd love to see Carl come back... I get it 😉👍 well said
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Awesome stuff dude
We all hope so NASCAR needs more Carl Edwards
My favorite driver. Love to have him back
A good man Carl Edwards thank you Kenny for bringing us this.

You are the man Carl!! None Better
This Gordon fan sure has missed Carl♥️😥☹️ It's been great seeing him lately.
You got me with the title Kenny. I was thinking “What?!? No way!” Turns out, Carl discusses NO possible return. 🙁
I think every time he shows up at the track he gets a stronger itch to drive something again. He can say what he wants but I believe race car drivers never lose that urge for competition and desire to feel the rush of racing as nothing else could provide the same feeling.
very articulate well spoken :)

He's not coming back NASCAR leave me alone!!!...geezzz
My first thought is don’t be a sally but I definitely understand what he’s saying!
NASCAR needs a whole lot of new drivers
The last ever Busch Series Champion in 2007
Awe heck, what about running s modified with Kenny or a late model with Dale? SRX?
Get Carl Edwards to speak in your podcast
Love this video
Carl would be an awesome commentator, spotter, gas man etc. Respect for not wanting to race.
Nascar is reason why he's not racing anymore he had many years left
Mystery caution, championship go poof.

I don’t mine he doesn’t race just want him come back

Ok good...so there's a chance we'll see him again at the lobster crate race! 🎉
He will never be in a race car again. He is content with his life now.

yeah i agree with him jimmy johnson has run a few races didnt turn out well🤷🏼♂️
To be honest, every time Carl Edwards did a backflip after a win I wanted to see him eat it one time. It would have been hilarious.
haha. c'mon!

Carl don't bother.. Your fan's understand. You have nothing to prove. Show up and comment once in a while.
He doesn't need those jerkwaters
I hope he just stays retired and enjoying his family life
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽

Biggest Carl Edwards fan...he had to be biting his tongue about the Chicago street race. That over Road America just makes zero sense!

Nah he’s Soft
The nascars are too junky. They already need a new car 2 years ago.. please get rid of the awful 1 lug nut and make the car safe

Why Did You Have To Capitalise Every Word?
BS Carl you could get back into a car and win again. Better then any other driver racing now.
