@@folktai7070 I've been wanting some sort of cutscene resolution between her and Hood for a while now. I mean, the game literally starts with Bismarck killing Hood. Like you said, maybe next year.
I'd love to see an Azur Lane series that largely follows the events of the war. Balls to the wall violent with ship girls dying left and right corresponding with their real life counterparts.
I would say have it largely follow Enterprise as the main character from Pearl Harbor all the way to Leyte Gulf. Enterprise had a really storied and heroic journey. Fighting non stop through the Pacific campaign.

I said this last anniversary and I’ll say it again: all the people that make up this entire player base, whether it be commanders just starting out or experienced commanders with a lot of knowledge, people come together in game to celebrate not just pulling for the rarest ship in the dock, but to help this marvel of a mobile game grow to what it is now and what it will become in the future, and as a player myself, I only hope that this game continues to grow into not just a mobile game but the greatest game to ever grace our phone screens. May these azur lanes bless you for years and years to come.

The scene of Bismarck standing among the flames with her stance strong and her flag swirling around her is just...picture perfect.
Untill you realise it depicts her inability to sink which coast the lives of her crew. Its said that the bombardment of bismark caused the sailors to have to dodge shells like that of infantryman, it wasn't untill Norfolk and Dorsetshire torpedoed her multiple times was she put out of her misery and sunk

@connor8610 That so called "crusade" was literally like a child throwing a tantrum after losing it's favorite toy.
@e421t9 except it really wasn't even if bismark hadn't sunk hood the royal navy had no plans of letting bismark into the atlantic and would've tried everything to sink her, the destruction of hood just spured them into action more re-calling more ships and carriers like ark royal. The admiralty had been keeping tabs on bismark since before she was even first in the water

Queen Elizabeth and Warspite are veterans of world war 1. They are quite small and old, in comparison to the newer models. But even with such a disadvantage, Warspite was quite lethal.

Seeing the Small section of them showing important Events like Midway (enterprise vs akagi), Bismarck's Last stand, and Minneapolis Vs Jean Bart makes me want to see an Actual Game lore accurate Azur Lane anime. But since it really depicts how WW2 went, regardless of it being reinactments, it's still difficult since WW2 seems to be a sensitive topic. It's the reason WW2 movies are very one sided at times
But I am still hopeful that An anime like that would happen because the Base lore of Azur Lane doesn't get enough credit

Tbf, most of ironblood action would be via the uboats and they'd have to design like hunderds of them

Happy 5th Anniversary!! Is this the first time we see the Humanoid Meowfficers animated? They're adorable. I like that the fighting scenes started between the girls but later they worked together vs the Sirens with a group photo at the end.

Tbf, the picture itself doesn't make any sense lore wise since the kan-sen seemingly cannot age and cannot physically alter themselves (like their hair, if you cut it, it just instantly regrows back to what it was) but it is a nice picture so i don't care

Pleased to see something like this. AL has been a fun game to play, especially with the ability to build fleets around your favorite faction and/or shipgirl. Kind of wish we got to experience more fun media like this, because the animation gives tons of personality that just isn't captured in-game. I also dream of the ships being given EN voices, but there's no chance that's ever happening because of the crippling expense of replicating 25 different lines for hundreds of different ships.
I refuse to give up hope for EN voices!

I wish I hadn't fallen out of this game. Played it a bit years ago but didn't have the patience for it then. Just got back into after all the anime expo ads for the 5th anniversary, and finally returning to it has been amazing. Wish I'd been there for it all, but glad to have rediscovered it!
1:28 You know, that section is missing in the extended versions, and it really makes it feel lesser than this one. But I guess that's just me, the pause on the audio and the line being said into the silence makes you go "Wow, it really has been that long".
