Wow that was great they should have left it in. Did you notice his perfect acting?... the face that he made when she said that Willie reminded her of her sister you could see he was thinking that Willie reminds him of Jamie and thus they would be a perfect family union together.
OMG, I have never seen this scene before. Surely a deteled scene from episode 4. It's a beautiful scene, it's the first time that we see John smiling. Isobel was really a good wife for him.
I do wish we got more of Isobel. She seemed like such a sweet intelligent character despite how unassuming she is. I would have loved to see the two of them together rather than Lord John just being forever lovelorn.
Oh woww.. What made them delete this beautiful scene? At least we could have seen something of John and isobel. Or at least not seeing John with those desperate eyes all the time. He smile is precious
It is really too bad these 2 scenes (part 1 and 2) weren't included to help flesh out the story of the 2 who were to care for Willie in Jamie's absence. There is genuine caring shown here, a basis for a family for Willie.
I think a lot of people don't understand that this isn't just a deleted scene. It's an "Outlander Untold" scene. It was never intended to be in an episode. There are a handful of these scenes that the filmmakers shot just for the purpose of adding a little depth to side characters/side stories that were only released with the DVD/Bluray. There's another "Untold" scene that takes place literally in between episodes in season 4 before Lord John shows up on Fraser's Ridge with Willie. It was also never intended to be in an episode, but it gave us a bit of a look at the father/son relationship between Lord John and William that we otherwise never would have seen. And season 6 has some animated "Untold" stories. They're still "canon," if you will, but they don't push forward the main plotline of the show, so they were "deleted" before they were even shot. Interestingly, this scene is not in the books. A few years before this takes place, in The Scottish Prisoner, Isobel had a suitor that her parents disapproved of because he was obviously after her (really Willie's) money (somewhat hypocritical, considering they married Geneva off for the Earl's money). She tried to run away to elope with him, and discovered his true character when he tried to rape her before marrying her. Jamie rescued her, and he and Lord John managed to keep it all quiet. I like that the show made it clear that even if there wasn't a great passion between John and Isobel, there was a fondness and respect, because according to the books, it kind of felt like they only married for Willie's sake. This at least implies they also did it for companionship.
@@LeppardPrintAnimal No idea. This short story has yet to be published or even written. Diana has only talked about it. Nobody knows if David Berry will even come back to play Lord John if ever there's ever a series based on his book series. But, Berry is coming back for Outlander Seasons 7B and 8

I could have done without something else to have this beautiful scene left in , it shows he did have feeling for her and they were happy together.
He told Jamie he cared for Isobel when he told Jamie he was going to marry her.
This was wonderfully act by David and Tanya! It should never have been deleted.

Helene R...... I've not seen this scene either and ive watched all 5 seasons 2 times.
Lord John , I mean this guy is one of the amazing actor with his emotional eyes to fascinate us to perceive how his love is so truly real ❤
This is exquisitely played by David Berry and Tanya Reynolds. A truly beautifully executed scene.❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏
So many deleted beautiful scenes. That was perfectly acted and so crucial to the story. Why would they delete it??? Just love LJG!
Fabulous scene! Two of my favorite characters acting off of each other wonderfully. I was thrilled to see this bit of tape. The show needs more LJG.
It is a pity that this scene was not shown. It's superb acting by both of them, especially by John Berry. Thank you for sharing.

I wish they would make director’s cuts and put these lovely scenes back in.
Adore estás dos escenas q no están la serie. Gracias x compartirlas y poder ver al Cap Grey en tan adorable momento !
Lord John Gray's smile is so sweet. He plays his role beautifully 👏 ❤
What a beautiful sweet scene! ❤
What a great scene. To bad they didn't use it.

Que cena linda
What the heck????? Me either! We needed this scene!
Foi 🤩 lindo ele muito elegante amável mesmo sabendo que não a amara a desejara; mas quer fazer alguém se sentir feliz 🥰
Why was this ever deleted? So crucial to their story.
it proves more how much John is a good husband
@@jcpark1125 yes and dont know why it was deleted.
That is such a beautiful scene! Why was this cut? It's such an integral part of that storyline.
This scene should be left in. Showed there was true affection between them.
This scene was not in the STARZ or Netflix version! I wish they had left it in. Lord John Grey, such a sad yet honorable man!
He's a liar. Just like Jamie and just like Claire. None of them are honorable.
We are all only human.

Diana Gabaldon is going to write a short film about their marriage
@@GillyWhitfootHaysend With David Berry?
@@LeppardPrintAnimal Yes, Lord John has his own story

Gentil e elegante ❤👏
We never knew enough about their relationship.
Lindo mas triste, levando-se em conta a situação do belíssimo Lord. 😕😞😔
These two scenes give me Jane Austen story vibes.
Lord John: mon préféré !!! 🥰
Lovely scene! Don't remember anything like that from the books.
It looks like she loved him
0:11 Their difference in hand sizes is adorable
Wich episode ??😊
I’m thinking this was a deleted scene.
Did they kiss at the end of that scene? A pop-up title card is blocking the two characters at the end so I can't tell.
No. They didn't kiss.

This was deleted had to have been
It had to have been deleted because I've got all 5 seasons on dvd and this is not shown. I like these 2.
