I totally enjoy listening to you explain the history of these cards. That's one of the reasons I collect/invest in vintage. Of course I also like the artwork on these cards. I also like sports and sports cards. That's the reason I resonated to sports cards. It's the perfect hobby for me. Plus, after a few years of vintage wisdom, you may increase your net worth.
The history here is neat, i had a general idea but really cool to hear the whole story. Seems Topps has kept their uniqueness continuing which is neat, the inserts are fun. A-lot of the parallels are kinda difficult to enjoy with different backs but i understand them. Great stuff here for your channel
Great video and some nice cards Mr David Gonos. Thank you for the history lesson on Allen and Ginter cards. I learned some awesome stuff that I didn't know about Allen and Ginter. I opened some in 2023 and I got a Ronald Acuna Jr bat relic in the green fame, not numbered. You are the best Mr David Gonos. Have a good Thursday to you and until your next video ✌️ Mr David Gonos my friend. Hope you had a good New Year's Day.
Nice! It can be yours for $185! - www.ebay.com/itm/135444705842?_skw=1887+Allen+%26+Ginter+J.+Schaefer+Billiards&itmmeta=01JGMDVYTYZZQXKX1PJC17TT0B&hash=item1f89223232:g:1cEAAOSwAyNnX3jK&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKlZ01qbCP6yczSh3UWD%2B6eUOskYhmefCHh0Rxa%2FzZHRPyexUpsOnm2Sm%2BYgic0SVQq0X9VawBKi3z7jptnxVZSIxjpzpmLFyoN2OcxCuHN3qLTif0KNLPpB1jSmLyEFKXLbHHEP4%2FIKnPZ%2BPvpQtNBFuGhWFqq4vSgLlmRVmyOmpN5jY4CTExaOcKgGJDhVtlGz3GAmhpiuvMYdC56Fk7i0dalM2LfBzAs%2Bx9AKSVlrGw2ddvZLWN36dxid0KkO%2FcUGvYSsJPZudx%2F8M%2BKxSsie%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9Dt742FZQ
Wonderful video, David. Very enlightening learning about A&G album cuts, I wasn’t aware of that. Or that they’re thicker than T206’s. And yours really is a gorgeous card, great pick up. I love hearing about history, so look forward to the next one! Great job, thanks for sharing!
You have a card from the "Wild West" era! That's super cool!! 🤠 I'm hoping to add a few of those to my collection, someday. It's going to be pricey! 📈💰🤔💰🏧💵
love Allen & Ginter thanks for the history lesson. nice og card Dave that's cool.i like the non baseball sports stars my favorite card that i have is Mike Tyson. got alot of female sports stars and boxers. ps the top 3 qb's are in this years packs
When I was busier on Whatnot auctions I bought some 2014 Panini Golden Age packs... Still a low price point for a hobby box of those. As for A&G, I did recently open a retail box and did get a mountain card, a 50 State card (NJ!), and several of those gorgeous x-ray cards. My best pull was probably a Freddie Freeman X-Fractor card, about $6.
You know there are many people that do not like this product however I like it and I wish I could build the complete set from the first set that they came up with not back then but like the first round our time
Thanks, Douglas! I imagine you can get 2006 A&G cards pretty cheap on eBay! Load up on those Red Sox like Kevin Miller and Clay Buchholz and Jon Papelbon!
