I have them for over a year and over 15000km on my Citroen C4 VTR. I have no complaints, they are stiff but the handling and looks are way better. Btw, I bought mine used and I live in Croatia where the roads are mostly one big mess. So there you go people.
A friend of mine has ta technix on a 106. Its low. She's driving on bumpstops now because the chock keep bottoming out. Springs and shocks are to weak. So dont lowering ta technix to mutch.
If the TA Technix is getting screwd too low it sits on its rubber-shock absorbers therefore becomes rock hard. You can remove those rubber absorbers to gain additional 1,5 to 2 cm travel, but the smart thing is to screw it back up a few cm. So it drives quite good.
So to summarise cheap coilovers are okay as long as you don’t slam your car to the ground, which lest be honest is why you want to buy them, all the people complaining of them bouncing and riding rough are riding on the bump stops!
I've bought these ta technix coilovers for my 06 Honda Jazz. Can anyone suggest a decent installer in and around Greater London? Most garages are not offering installation for coilovers that aren't bought from them.
Hi ,Thanks for great video and the info. I am planning to get coilovers with low budget for my mazda mx5 mk1 1996, any recommendations ? Much appreciated. Regards
I have MX-3 V6 and I'm in the same situation. MX-3 is getting a pretty rare and so are aftermarket parts for it. These are my recommendations. Best: KSport and D2. After those two, there is only TA Technics. I decided I give ta Technics a try, because they are third of the price comparing to KSport and D2. Btw, there is also a standard suspension kit from TA-Technics, which is a complete set with new shocks and springs. It lowers 40/40mm. Price is the same as TA coilovers. I really don't know, which one to get? Maybe I get that suspension kit and if I don't like them, I replace the springs with Eibach or H&R lowering springs.
@@MillerCorner Thanks a lot Miller. Like I said before, I want coils for my Punto mk1 but it was hard to make up my mind and your sincere review helped me a lot plus a couple friends recommended me TA Technix coilovers and said that they are much better than what many people say. One of my favorits points on them is their rear adjustability. Well, TA Technix it is. Thanks a lot mate. All the best and keep up the good content!!
Hey miller corner, my car handling is totally rubbish I changed my factory springs on my vectra sri and didn't change the shocks, it now has that flat tyre feeling you described and poor handling, i am now thinking of changing to TA coilovers..would you say it improved you motoway experince?.
These were on my TT 3.2 DSG when I brought it, absolutely awful! Shocking ride! In the bin they went and a full set of Koni intelligent’s went on! Don’t skimp on suspension!
@@misterjesus with me has been a nightmare since i bought them ! worst piece of crap german technology ! don't do the same mistake i did , better save money and buy something decent . i have changed this for my old h&r coilovers , sadly one of them broken , just to give you folks a clue , the came in the h&r was about 4cm round , in the TA Technix Coilovers is about 1.5cm round , looks like an accessory for a kid's car . no joke !
I have these on my scirocco 16v. When i bought the car, they came with the car, new in the box. Once i installed them, i regreted it instantly. Absolute garbage. Stiff, bouncey as hell. I can't wait to get rid of them and buy a real coilover setup.
It depends on the car i'd say. They work fine with some cars but for some cars they can be pretty dangerous. For example: My Fiat Punto (199). The TA Technix coilover starts to rust quickly and the springs tend to break and/or bend for what i have heard from a friend who tested a lot of suspensions for the Punto
I've put a second hand TA on my 306. Driving on the lowest setup for one year. No issues at all, only the original rear axle torsion bars are much too soft :P
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done with torsion bars. I've looked everywhere and it's either very expensive to get something custom or simply not worth the effort. Plus why would I spend huge money to go from say 21 to 23mm like wtf....

Good coilovers for the price. I drive with ta techniks coilovers 3 years and sold car with them. No problems. I planing to buy these for another car.
Good review mate, I’m surprised all you hear is rubbish about the brand most places but good to know for a future build!👌🏻
Don't believe all you read, mate, that's all I'll say 😁
this video came at exactly the right time. was literally just ebaying some TA Tex coilies for my vts
Do it, dude - great coilovers 😁👍
Miller Corner The only thing that doesn’t justify it is that FK coil overs are only £30 more.
Fair enough, bud - Seicentos only have a handful of options and all bar the TAs are £500+ 😬
I can imagine they’re not in high demand lol. Best of luck matey. You definitely have my support
@@The_Cheques_Offender so your prefer FK than ta technix?

Brilliant review, you sold them to me, gonna buy a set for my 307.
Feel you! Had a Polo 3 GTI, 900ish kilos, 120bhp with coilovers...112mph felt like flying a spitfire, soooo intense🎉😅
Thnks man! You deserve more subs!
Great experience dude! Respect! Gonna look forward at them)
Great review mate, I have them two years on my little polo 6n1 at the highest level and what a difference,, speed is nothing without control!!
Thanks dude 😁 they make SO much difference - makes a 16 year old car feel brand new!
Excellent video.....am installing the same coilovers on my Golf3 VR6 Syncro this weekend ....
Thanks Jon! Best of luck 😁

Are the TAs still holding up ok after 2 years?
One downside is they slot the lower mounting hole so the camber has to be set.
Seem to be fine!
@@MillerCorner haw many kms in thousand, before they sould ne changed?
You've got it right, budget coilovers when not wound down are not so bad on light cars
Exactly! Why don't more people understand that when set up properly, coilovers of ANY cost can be beneficial!
I have them on my polo, not slammed they are fine.
@@mrlarkin6416 is it a polo 86c?
Ok i will give them a try dir my litle Polo 6n
Have you already installed them? I am planning to get them for my polo 6r as well

How is your coilovers until today??Any problems??

Are all mods declared on insurance? How major is the price increase
Lol that bump you said about near college 😂😂 if I don’t avoid that bump my car bottoms out 🙄😂 oh well #stancelife
Ran them for like a year on my Boxster and had one snap a shock shaft.
Does seem counterintuitive to run budget coilovers on a Porsche, though 🤔
Did you bring it to the track or normal driving?

i buy also ta technix suspension not coilovers but lovering springs and shock and feels like dream this car on stock suspension is just like trash
So good, isn't it?
