It just wouldn’t be a good Triple R harvest video without drone footage and you knocked it outa the park with this one. Thanks for all the extra work you put into channel.
My husband and I love your videos. We were at your shop today and met your dads brother. Wish we could have met you and your dad. You guys are amazing! We live in Berryville Arkansas and was taking a vacation. Keep up with the videos and keep smiling!
Good morning Granny hope you have a great weekend. Always find the cotton interesting Never been around it being I'm in Michigan. Have a good weekend guys.
I am amazed by that CP690. I lived in North Alabama next to a cotton field from the mid 80s to the late 90s. I got to see the evolution of harvest gear from small basket pickers with boll buggies to larger basket machines with module builders. The old boll buggies would scatter so much cotton on the sides of the road it looked like snow in October. Roadsides caught fire when cigarette butts hit them. The module builders changed that equation a lot. So, I guess you have to look at the CP690 as a high complexity, high maintenance item, but when you look at all the things it replaced (module builder, the trailers to move the modules, etc), it probably trades out positively from an overall cost of ownership standpoint. It certainly allows a one or two person team to pick a lot of cotton and have it ready for transport in a safe and stable condition, without requiring super specialized handling equipment after its harvested. BTW, my Daddy was born in 1911 and was a 300 pound hand picker in the day, I bet you get that much in the basket in less than a minute in good cotton.
Really enjoying your videos - just thinking how our technology has changed farming. To think cotton was once picked by hand.... Keep up the great work. Thank You
Question for you or your dad. How come the Cotton Picker leaves so much Cotton on the steams/Plants. ❤ the videos!!! Plus Your pops is one of the kindest people I’ve seen in a long time. I’d definitely give him a vote for Dad of the year if they had it.
Thanks for the Video Daniel! What ever happened to that Biologic you used on the Soybeans at planting. Think it was a litchi made from Army or Soldier Fly Larvae, they made it like a tea in totes & let it sit. Just wondering if it made a difference. Thanks you switching up the music a little too, listening to the exact same tune every Video gets old, 😂, something to think about. 👍 Good Job, Hello Grannie!
Great video guys. Please be careful working inside and under those picker heads, I have seen some bad things happen! You have a new subscriber. Thomas, Mississippi!!
Why don't you tow the head with the combine? When your'e there it's there. At what bean moisture do you stop running? How much does a bale of cotton weigh? How does the pounds of cotton in a bale relate to the pounds you get paid for?
WOW the Selma, Alabama bridge just a WOW so much history for the gain of a basic human right to be recognized as humans to exist as equals amongst the masses
Good morning Granny, Dan, Daniel and all of Triple R Farms, ❤ great video as always, how many acres can you pick in a day, with one picker, that field you done the drone footage in
Do you follow the Hollis Farms? I think they are west of you and they could let you know when the rains are in the area. Hope you have bumper crops this year!
Cleans and lubes the spindles in the head. The water is fed down tubes to columns of "pads" that the spindles spin through on every revolution. That's the "condensed version" of the purpose of the water/lube/cleaner. That solution is what Daniel was adding to the filler line when he was filling the picker.
Yes indeed. When they go to Blackwell's Bend they go across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, through downtown Selma. BB is on the west side of town. When they go to Autaugaville or Grey Rocks they go over the river on the bypass. Those fields are east of Selma, north of the river.
Yes JD makes the cotton stripper with the bale wrapper same as picker. Strippers are still run in central and west Texas. Crop is shorter and bolls are lower to the ground and the stripper head can harvest them.
please take your dirty gloves off when you get in the cab and touch anything i cant stand that you are putting grease or anything on the controls ahhhhhh

One of the best channels on utube that sender is the same as on my hardey heater
Hi Granny, hi Daniel, hi dad, another quality Triple R Farms production. Keep up the great work mate from New Zealand.
I’ve noticed on a couple videos of the picker that it seems that the rear axle is walking back and forth some. Like the pivot bushing may be out.
Enjoyed meeting you and James at Lowndesboro.
Man glad you found us, so cool meeting up with people that follow our channel, thanks for watching 😀
Always love the drone..... Hi Granny, how are you doing this beautiful Fall day? Thanks for sharing Daniel..... Love your channel....

What constitutes a great cotton crop? Pounds per acre?
Great video Daniel where do the bales of cotton go hello granny hope you are doing good
What kind of drone are you using, movies are very clear?
DJI mavic 3 pro thanks for watching 😀
Some clean pickin' there!
Really enjoy you're videos keep up the good work.
This might seem like a dumb question, but when you put that water sensor in the bottom of the tank, how do you know it's in there right side up?
Do ya Disc or plow the Cotton Under and plant wheat ?
Always wondered why the amount of cotton is left is so much? Or is that normal?
About what percentage left is ideal?
Never grew cotton !
Your videos make it almost like being there!
What holds the head on the cotton picker up when you are working under it? Good video...
WOW the Selma, Alabama bridge just a WOW so much history for the gain of a basic human right to be recognized as humans to exist as equals amongst the masses
Good morning Granny, Dan, Daniel and all of Triple R Farms, ❤ great video as always, how many acres can you pick in a day, with one picker, that field you done the drone footage in
How do you get those video shots from the ground and underneath the cotton picker? Those are are some real nice picture shots.
Do you follow the Hollis Farms? I think they are west of you and they could let you know when the rains are in the area. Hope you have bumper crops this year!
Great looking crops and a great job on the video! Hi Granny!

Hello Roy!!!!
You must have decided to keep that little dog you found...or he found you.
Thanks for watching 👍😁
I do get a kick out of Roy. He’s a good man.
What is the water used for in the cotton picking ?
Cleans and lubes the spindles in the head. The water is fed down tubes to columns of "pads" that the spindles spin through on every revolution. That's the "condensed version" of the purpose of the water/lube/cleaner. That solution is what Daniel was adding to the filler line when he was filling the picker.
When do you take rolls to gin?
The Gin picks them up when they are ready for them. 👍
Thanks! Convenient. .
Daniel, are you sure wasn't messing with you on the wetness of the cotton. Lol
I'm form Xinjiang China.I also have a cp690
We're is Lucy lately?
Daniel is that the Bridge that Martin Luther king Marched Across?
Yes indeed. When they go to Blackwell's Bend they go across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, through downtown Selma. BB is on the west side of town. When they go to Autaugaville or Grey Rocks they go over the river on the bypass. Those fields are east of Selma, north of the river.
What's up James and Mark
New dog in the pic
Must be Dad’s
Where’s the black dog. Lucey
The little terrier always visits them when they show up at that particular field. Hangs around for awhile and leaves.
Glad you have a good cotton crop.
👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Hope diesel fuel dont run out before yalls final harvest,
Most farms buy in bulk in advance anyways, I know we do🤷🏻♂️
AW SHUCKS is that a video edit , lmoa
Do they make strippers anymore?
Yes JD makes the cotton stripper with the bale wrapper same as picker. Strippers are still run in central and west Texas. Crop is shorter and bolls are lower to the ground and the stripper head can harvest them.
Cigarette lighter for what?
To power the iPad
Looks like John Deere would have power inverters by now. Those cigarette lighter outlets are a good way to burn something down.
please take your dirty gloves off when you get in the cab and touch anything i cant stand that you are putting grease or anything on the controls ahhhhhh
Tell Roy when he waves at the camera I always wave back at him
I will , thanks for watching 😀
we cant scare up any rain in southeast texas and yall are getting too much, oh well thats agriculture
That's really the first rain we've had in over a month. Extremely dry here in Alabama too.
