@@DestructiveMediaYT All seven of them are world-class dancers, and V is actually a member of the part of the group called "the dance line". They just didn't dance for this specific performance. You'll see their dancing in most other music videos/live performances.
Thank you for giving BTS a chance. Pretty much anyone who actually DOES give them a chance comes out of it a fan. It's hard not to at a bare minimum respect their talent, once you watch/listen.
V is a great dancer lol. Whenever he doesn’t have to “perform”, he just likes being himself and not take things seriously.

The blond, RM, the leader and the man that drew me into BTS. I'm a country girl that loves music. His rap mesmerized me. He was hated on for leaving the rap underground to join a hip hop band. He is the 2md most credited writer in Korea and a true genius. Top 10% iq. His word play is deep. Books are often referenced.
Suga is also a highly credited writer. And an amazing producer. He redid the samsung theme this past year..
They can all dance, but this was after Suga's shoulder surgery. So, they were taking it easy. This was part of Festa, which is a celebration they do every year for Army to celebrate their debut. The group releases photos, videos and special merch for the event.
I almost spat my drink out when you said Taehyung (stage name V) couldn't dance haha. I laughed so hard lol. He's so goofy in this. I'm glad you got to see them all being themselves and just having a good time singing their songs without mixing in the choreography aspect. Their live stages are phenomenal. It’s really hard to take them seriously coz they’re all goofy. Even suga. That’s why wel love them lol. They can dance while singing and still sound good. Saw them for the first time live in Nov last year. Amazing! For rm (blonde hair) try his solo Joke. Try to find the color coded lyrics. Also listen to their Cypher 1-4 for starters. Loved the reaction!

Hi! Ilm a tattooed metalhead, Grunge, Beatles Mom and I could have never imagined myself listening to BTS. But when I started peeping into that BTS rabbit hole, I just can’t seem to get enough of them so I dove right in! And I loved them since then. But of course I still go back to my metalhead roots, it’s just that I now have a special pop side in my heart and that is for BTS only. I like your chill reaction and I hope you’ll continue giving BTS a chance and learn more about them.
Me too. I grew up listening to Zep and first concert was 1984 (VH). I’m a 70’s rock and hair band guy at heart, but like a lot of genres. But nothing has hooked me like BTS

That’s V in a green shirt with eye glasses and white pants. Yup, V is one of the funniest of the bunch! BTS make their own music that’s why their live performances are 10x more amazing than their studio recordings. V is actually a good dancer and is currently considered one of the dance line since his solo “Singularity “ was released in 2018. BTS is a 7 member group from South Korea with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. You might want to watch Introduction to BTS if you want to familiarize yourself with each member.
Taehyung (the guy in the green shirt) always just does what comes to his mind and what he feels like doing. That’s one of the things army loves about him, because we love seeing them happily be and embrace themselves.
That rapper
is RM (or Namjoon)he is a lyrical genius. Try "persona", "joke", or any from his mixtapes. He has 2 mixtapes out. All three rappers have mixtapes and songs the 3 of them do together. I love "outro:tear" and the cyphers 1-4. There are so many, I know everyone will put tons down to listen to.

I know you were surprised by us saying this, but it’s true, unfortunately not many people do because of all these preconceived ideas in their heads. I’m sure you’re already bombarded by requests so I won’t add anymore, just saying I’m looking forward to seeing you learn more about them. They’re all amazing live performers as you’ve seen.
And yes, I think V (green shirt white pants) was in a really goofy mood that day lol - he knows how to have fun when he’s feeling in the mood for it! All of them are hilarious and don’t take themselves seriously at all, there are tons of inside jokes and memes between BTS and ARMY 😂

You had an honest reaction and that is what is most important with an reaction. The fact you were willing to give them a try even through you had thought they were not your vibe. That is honorable, I alway respect people who keep open mind. One thing that many people get wrong is they only think of them as musical group, BTS is a performance group, so story (lyrics), dance, visual, and message is all considered with each performance you will see.
You might want to ask ARMY a bit about a song before you do it. You often get more out of the song/MV if you know the meaning behind the MV. Remember they are a performance group, so going into with a little background will help understand the whole performance.
There are tons of songs. Most have individal songs, with and with BTS. Individual songs are a great way to know individual members if you want. I will say that I am Jimin fan (guy who held the mic like a flute), but that is due to his dancing and vocal sound.
I am sure others have said it, but put on the CC.
This was also a good first one since it was live and now when you hear others you will know it is not auto tune. This also shows you that they do not try to step on each other. They support each other in their vocal style or dance style.
I found you from Juice World and moving forward with you. From other video comment, yes if you say you are a BTS fan people often scoff at you about likeing a "boy" band. I am glad to see you have found out that they are musical group and not a boy band.
Each of us find something that draws a fan in. For me, as an old dancer, it what drew me in and then realizing they are dancing and singing live at the same time, DAMN. I am going to have fun watching you go down the BTS rabbit hole. And you have also discovered they are professional as well as goofballs.

I’ll second this but add that a lot of their music is filled with lore and storyline. If you’re the sort of person that enjoys concept albums, storylines and overarching thematic narratives that bend towards the psychological, philosophical and social commentative- well let’s just say the bts well runs deep. 🙏💜

There’s a lot that their work can push you to think about, when you look beneath the surface.
You do get a feel for their goofy personalities in this one. As you said, you can't take them seriously but that's who they are - down to earth, no egos, and just focused on creating good music that can heal the world. What's not to love?! 💜💜💜

Idk if your at all interested in diving more into BTS’ music but their discography is very diverse! The introduction to the Seven members of BTS (2021 update) by Ida S is a good video to get to know their background as well as some of their music and personalities 💕 Each member has a different style when it comes to music which shines in both their group and solo work ☺️ I know you’ve only heard a couple of songs from them but ty for being respectful so far!

I just thought the Ida S one showed some of their solo songs as apart of the intro so it could be interesting for him to watch even if he doesn’t watch it straight away and waits until he’s more familiar with their music :)

Someone you mentioned several times with a purple mic he is Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS.. His voice is really amazing, he has a unique voice and fits various music genres.. He also has a few solo songs, you can check out 'Euphoria' , 'Still With You' and 'My Time'.. as well.

For music, I would recommend Dionysis based in your musical taste as expressed in your last video.
However, I also agree with those suggesting you watch the introduction to the members by IdaS. It will have the benefit of not only giving you some background info about each member, but also a glimpse of some of their other songs and solo work which may help you narrow down what you want to watch next.
My music taste before Bts was mostly finnish metal, like Wolfheart, Insomnium, Amorphis, Turmion kätilöt, Children of bodom etc. If havent heard some of them, go check, good bands! And now im suddenly a big fan of Bts since 5 years, hah! My friends are still baffled, but I dont care. These guys make me laugh and cry and the lyrics from songs like Outro tear and Fake love helped me through a really tough times. Thats what matters. Allways happy to see openmided people from metal genre to check Bts, wish my friends would be this cool like you 💜

Actually 4 of BTS members are professional dancers, and V is one of them (green shirt guy with the glasses). He just likes to goof around with weird moves when he is free on stage but when he gets serious he is definitely great.
Rest of the members are pretty good dancers as well because they keep up with the in hard choreography they do most their performance. You should see their live MMA 2019 performance, the full performance is like 37 min long (yes, one artist for 37 min for an AWARD SHOW), and yet it passed like it was 10 minutes only, because of how good it is. This performance is highly praised and is probably one of the best performances in music history, even knowing how good of performers bts are it still BLEW ME AWAY. From the sets, budget, lighting, creative elements in it, music, instruments, overall stage, energy, vocals, dancing, videos, creativity and going beyond the norm of what you see in usual award show performances, it's nothing like I've ever seen before and made the grammys look like some lame kid show.
All 7 of them are professional dancers though.
@@crystalsnow1138 yes, but 4 are in the dance line, so they will learn more complicated choregraphies, and execute the choreo better than the others. The rest are only professionals because BTS has been a group for already 8 years and of course after dancing for so much time you are bound to be very professional
@@-amel-9896 Maybe you could answer this question for me. Did Jungkook dance before joining Bighit? I know Jimin and J-Hope did but some fans will say no he never danced before joining Bighit and some say he did. It just boggles my mind how some of them had never danced before joining Bighit. I've just always defined a professional dancer as someone who makes money by dancing which would apply to all of them, but yes 4 of the members are in the dance line.

Actually I beg to differ on this comment. I think BTS fandom age range is closer to 2-95 years old. I made a pen pal of a 93 year old woman because I saw her on Twitter holding her army bomb and her granddaughter said she loved getting mail. She is widowed and lives alone so I pop a snail mail letter in her mailbox now & then. And I have definitely seen videos of toddlers dancing to their music. Observing BTS for several years now it’s another fascinating, somewhat inexplicable magic of how they’ve brought generations together as well as people of all races and nationalities.
I have great grandchildren whose fav BTS song is “FIRE” until they hear “Idol” or J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” or “On: KINETIC MANIFESTO” or … get my drift? I introduced them, they DANCE, SING, & STARE at their BIAS’:

On the far right is Jungkook, the youngest and an all-rounder. On the far left is RM, the leader, rapper and main lyricist. These are mostly B-side songs. Had to laugh about the can't dance comment regarding V - luckily they can easily laugh at themselves. Please watch a BTS dance practice video!!! or *ON: Kinetic Manifesto*. I'll let others recommend their hip-hop songs. They have over 300 songs if you count their individual mixtapes, covers and OSTS. Out of their 230+ official songs only 3 are all in English and some are in Japanese.

The one who you pointed out several times for having a great voice is Jungkook (purple mic), he is the youngest and the main vocalist.
He has an incredible pure vocal tone and is a very skilled singer :)

The blond hair (RM) is one of the main songwriters of the group, songs that you could react to would be Joke, Do you, Change; they are the ones with which they usually begin to know it, you have to look for the translation apart from those that I told you since in the MV the letter does not come., most BTS MV have translation in the same video only activates the subtitles. The guy with glasses, green sweater and white pants is V, he is part of the dance line of the group so in fact he is very good dancer, his personality is like that so it is very normal to see him do weird and funny things like weird dances, gestures, or even the back chair of the video jajsj. Seeing that he liked the songs of the rap line more, he could react to some of the 4 cyphers, daeng, outro:tear, ugh or some slightly older songs like paldogangsan, comeback home, rise bangtan, boys with fun, mic drop, etc., also if you want to get to know them a little better sooner, you could react a Introduction to the seven members of bts (2021). it’s funny because i actually like how they sound better live since it gives a proper feel of their voices without affects and because they’re incredible live. since they are artists in the kpop industry (even though they shouldn’t be grouped in as merely kpop) they’ve trained for years on end to be able to sing stably while dancing live. if you ever want to learn about the members after diving into their music i highly recommend “an introduction to the 7 members of bts (2021 update)” by Ida S

I'll also recommend their performance of Mic Drop on SNL because i think you'd like the song and that one is live but with full choreo so you can see that all of them can indeed dance ;)

That was just V being... well... V. He's a little bit left of centre. He's goofy and funny. He has a seriously cool groovy kind of vibe. He's that friend in the group who dances to the beat of different drummer. And he can dance really well.
This is why we ARMY love watching reactors new to BTS. It is a joy to see them through your eyes and then know the journey you are in for, if you choose. I guess the silver lining of having so much hate and ignorance and close minds directed at us and the boys is that we are grateful for every sincere reactor who is open-minded.(I see your next reaction is V's Singularity. Oh, boy. I cannot wait to see your face when he dances 😂)

What a fun reaction 😄 these 7 men are super talented and if you're impressed by their vocal stability live while goofing around/sitting down, i can't imagine your reaction to them doing hardcore choreography without missing a single note.
BTS are serious pros as much as they love to have fun and be playful, to the extent that one of their main performances on their 2019 tour had a huge inflatable castle on stage that they had the time of their life on while singing the song Anpanman perfectly.
They're always full of surprises, so get used to expect the unexpected from them 😁
I really enjoyed how open-minded you were, and I laughed so hard at your comment about V (Taehyung, that is) not being able to dance; it certainly seemed like it. One of the very refreshing things about BTS is that they don't take themselves too seriously and are all down-to-earth, humble goofballs. I think you'd really enjoy watching their Carpool Kareoke with James Corden; I highly recommend it. Have fun going down the rabbit hole!
Guy in Green with glasses is V aka Taehyung. He’s a great dancer and is very entertaining when he’s goofing around. He’s one of the members I can’t help focus on as he’s very expressive and you never know what he’s gonna do. They’re all really talented genuine humble great artists and people. V, the green shirt guy, is one of the official main dancers of the group and all of them are crazy dancers. Live performances are phenomenal. Watch it out!
This is a great reaction. You (accidentally, it seems!) picked a really good video to start with, since it gives such a wide variety of their songs. Watching the MMA 2019 performance (it's really long!) is also great because you see several songs, RM (the blonde guy) doing one of his solo songs, and every member gets their own set piece so you get an understanding of each member's strengths as a performer. And I'm sure you've been told this in other comments, but the guy in the green shirt can definitely dance. He's such a giant weirdo. Can relate, honestly.

My favorite thing is convincing my metal head friends to listen to BTS. Cause they know I don't have bad taste in music, but they're baffled that someone who loves rap and metal loves them. Then you get them to listen and even if they don't become fans, they get it. Cause the production is always sick. And they love mixing real instruments. Dope bass lines always. And they have a socially conscious message. And that's all the things that attract a person to metal

V, the guy in green, is just being V :) BTS is the biggest band in the world at the moment. BTS is also the most down to earth, hilariously normal group of 7 goofballs you will ever see. They were just having fun during this one.

Respect to you for having an open mind to listen to more of their music. I've only been an ARMY since July 2020 and wished I found them sooner. I won't overwhelm you with a lot of bts trivia, but my suggestion for songs to listen to are: 2nd Grade, Baepsae, On, Ego & Blue Side by JHope (he'smy bias). For their dancing watch their practice videos/songs for Dionysis, Danger, On. There are so many great songs and videos, but those are my suggestions. They are so talented in their music and dancing. They do live talks through VLive to be close to their fans. They promote self care/love and are so humble. Because I'm an older fan I'm what's called an ARMY MOM 🤭 Their back story is incredible, all so different and almost disbanded. The amount of tireless hours they devote to learn a dance routine is like something you can't imagine. Again, thank you for being respectful to our boys and for having an open mind, we understand you won't like all their work, but appreciate you not being rude towards them. We Purple You💜

If you need to listen to all of BTS’s work before you can call yourself their fan it will take a while. They have made hundreds of tracks. One thing that’s really great about the is that they switch it up a lot: lots of different styles and genres, but their lyrics are almost always profoundly meaningful. They talk about societal issues, problems affecting young people, mental health struggles, finding and loving yourself and other important topics. They write most of their own lyrics and (especially in solo songs) open up about inner personal struggles.
On top of that, they are phenomenal performers: they sing/rap, they all dance well and have a great audience connection. They are super professional when needed (as evidenced by the stellar performances they put on) but in between they often goof off which is really endearing as it shows off their personalities and their close bonds in the group.

Great fun to watch! I’m relatively new Army and this is a great medley of b-side tracks that they did this free live concert as a gift to fans (they gift fans a lot of free content and free music). They can all dance but they are agents of chaos and I’m convinced they give them such complex choreography because without it they will literally climb the furniture if left alone too long (said with all fondness I can muster). The guy in a green shirt white pants was V who is often the most cutely chaotic just watch him on stage or their MVs. I’m sure others will inundate you with recs, my own would be all Suga biased as he’s my favorite although I love them all. As someone with musical tastes from 90s metal/alternative/industrial musical tastes I can tell you I’ve yet to find BTS songs that arent great. Enjoy a huge rabbit hole with a back catalog of over 250 songs. Be prepared for Army we are like over enthusiastic golden retrievers. They are unparalleled live (energy, singing ability, dancing, concepts etc). Their lyrics as you will find are hitting some intensely meaningful topics. It’s not bubblegum pop or even standard rap topics. Think Tool or Rage Against the Machine topics or lyrics wrapped up in kpop where they as easily tackle topics like Karl Jung psychology (a topic of 2 concept albums covering his map of the soul ideas), or calling out social injustice or social commentary (something they have done since their very first song debut) enjoy the ride.

@@DestructiveMediaYT oh I’ll absolutely check it out I started watching Tool reaction vids and somehow got to BTS but the message Jung themes in songs like 46&2 and talk of shadows fits into a bunch of BTS songs like… Sugas solo Interlude:Shadow (part of a triptych of songs each by a member of the rapline tackling a different part of Jungs ideas: RM takes on Intro:Persona, Suga does Interlude:Shadow, and JHope wraps it up with Outro:Ego) these three songs and MVs all show off the rap styles of each rapper well in my opinion. RM intellectual analyzes the world, Suga aggressive and introspective, JHope up beat and hopeful.
Ahaha, put them all together off stage without choreo and they become their chaotic goofy natural selves haha they have such a close relationships so they like to roast each other a lot haha but of course they're all very affectionate with each other as well.

what's so good about bts and any other kpop group in general is that in most cases, they sing *any* type of genres and all type of genres. Most of the time, one song can have different genres in it, that's why "kpop" is a genre on itself. So, anyone can find even just one kpop song that they truly like

Unless they are performing with some serious choreos, you will always find them goofing around on stage or off stage. And V (the green shirt with white pants) is one of the most chaotic so I get what you're saying. But overall all of them are too chaotic to the extent some would think that they have no serious bone in them😂. But when they turn on their professional mode, you will see a totally different side of them. Their duality is way too deadly. So be prepared 😉
