  • Until the day comes when we discover how to extract more information from the universe than presently seems possible, we have no choice but to face our ignorance. The Big Bang could have happened a very long time ago, but it wasn’t the beginning we once supposed it to be.

Maybe this is the answer: the limitations of our brain. You can teach some things to a monkey, but try to explain abstract concepts like "good," "bad," "art," "time," and so on to him. We are accustomed to living in a three-dimensional world, with the fourth dimension being time. In our world, everything must have a beginning and an end. This is how we perceive the world.

Yes, that was announced quite early in JWST's first pics but then there was kind of a hush hush attitude toward that probable finding because there would have been a lot of egg on face of A LOT of people very quickly. Some of JW's first pics showed galaxies ~12.8-13.2 billion light years away. Implying there were galaxies formed 600,000,000 years after the big bang which doesn't seem possible if the BB took place 13.8B years ago. No one knows shit. As far as the cosmic microwave background, it proves nothing and in no way ages the universe.

The more we find out, the less we know and more confused we are. Maybe the only thing we'll ever know for sure about the Universe is the revelation of how mindboglingly complex it is? Everything that is visible began with energy, that is, heat, or FIRE.
When the fire cools down, the "particles" condense (freeze) from the vortexes of the original energy, or heat (fire).
      "Matter is crystallized fire."
Solid, liquid, gaseous are diffrent phases of fire, formed in diffrent conditions (size) and densities..

There is a problem with the big bang theory. You see, the Universe is expanding and all the galaxies are moving away from each other and speeding up. If they are speeding up, that means in the past, they moved slower. Mathematically how fast would that mean they moved going back to the beginning? The answer is that it would never have the momentum to exponentially speed up. If you start from 0 and take the speed currently detected, then the numbers don't add up. The Universe would be expanding at a much higher rate. So, we know the speed now as a measurable number. If we take it back to our number to 0 then the Universe was in an area that occupied a large space. It's size would measure about the size of a supermassive black hole.

I think the BBT has made many false predictions, which should be the death of even the soundest theory.
I think the red shift and time dilation we see isn't saying the universe is expanding, but that there is a kind of reversed gravity that exists where matter is scarce. As light passes through that force it gains the characteristics we see as red shift and time dilation.
I think Einstein's theories allow for a kind of repulsive gravity, and in the current model dark energy is believed to be that. I don't know enough to say how we should verify such a thing, but the whole "something from nothing" idea always made me uncomfortable, and much of the data from recent observations would indicate that the expanding universe theory may have a few significant gaps.

JWT has found a galaxy at a distance of 13.4 billion light years. This is just about 400 million years after the Big Bang. This is inconsistent with our current understanding of the timeline of a galaxy's lifecycle, in that, 400 million years is not time enough for a galaxy to become so large / so dense.
This leads to two possibilities ...
      1. The timeline of Big Bang is incorrect
This looks too risky a statement to make, as there is enough evidence to say that Big Bang happened 13.8 billion years ago.
      2. This new galaxy recently found (and possibly a few other similar ones which are yet to be found) could have pretty much been in existence when the Big Bang actually happened, and they are the remnants of the pre Big Bang era (if there is something like that). In other words, Big Bang was not the beginning of this universe as we have believed so far.
To me, the second assumption seems more likely to be correct. This also gives credence to the theory that the universe has been in existence, at least, at the time of the Big Bang (possibly always), or the Big Bang that we know of (the one that took place 13.8 billion years ago) was not the first one, but only the most recent one so far. Additionally, assuming there was a Big Bust before this (most recent) Big Bang, it did not annihilate the entire universe in existence at that point in time.
      Quite interesting.

Try filling a square of say 1000 * 1000 pixels with random color dots (or noise), apply polar coordinate transformation on that square repeatedly, keep changing the foreground and background colors before every iteration, and see a strange pattern emerge. You may apply some other transformation repeatedly to get some different pattern. The point is, from any random noise, repeated application of some transformation generates a predictable pattern. Stars of a few specific types, galaxies of one of the four odd shapes, etc are all result of some repeated application of some rule.
I have no clue as to the existence of some super power (God etc) who is applying these transformations. My attempt is only to show that mathematics or physics can give answers to how regular pattern emerged out of seemingly random chaos. 🙏

At the point just before expansion, time did not exist. All the stuff of our universe had no designation. We always think of that moment as hot and dense. There is no time or dimension because all particles are neutral for an example.
Fast forward the eventual end of the universe. Entropy where all particles are neutral… photons moving away and away.
Photons have no mass and therefore you can’t measure the space between them.
    Suddenly dimension looses itself.
Now take the idea that there is no longer time and space? Then the expanse has no value . Oddly like the moment before expansion. Size is irrelevant.

Hi Fexl, nice video and great explanaitions, thanks! 😃
The strange things before the big bang... yes, the unknown is always strange...
I assume that we will soon have to change some parts of our cosmic standard model.
We were quiet wrong in both age and creation of the universe/multiverse.
Where I agree with the Big Bang model is the distinction between Inflation, Dark Ages and Reionization Epoch, at least most physical processes all seem to be true...
BUT, all this processes didn´t start from a singularity, rather from a previous universe!
What we are currently discovering at great distances with the help of the magnificent JWST probably no longer actually belongs to our direct universe, but how it seems to a predecessor universe or another part of the multiverse. These ancient, mature elliptical galaxies (GLASS and CEERS) are simply too different in shape and composition.
Our cyclically constantly self-renewing universe/multiverse is many times larger and more complex than we previously assumed and, with its multidimensionality, the lack of a visible beginning and end and an extremely relative calculation of time and expansion, is not so easy to analyze. There is still so much to discover and explore...

If we just learned of cosmic expansion in 1998, how then, do we know we are speeding up? Please someone define and explain in full detail cosmic acceleration. Also, is dark energy purely theoretical?

    • @snappr2523
      @snappr2523 7 місяців тому +1

The observation that galaxies are moving away from each other as space expands is a key piece of evidence supporting the concept of cosmic expansion. This phenomenon was first inferred from the work of astronomers like Edwin Hubble in the early 20th century. The primary evidence comes from the observation of redshift in the light emitted by distant galaxies. When astronomers analyze the light from these galaxies, they observe a systematic shift towards longer wavelengths, or "redshift." This redshift is a result of the stretching of space itself as the universe expands.
Dark energy is a term used in cosmology to represent an unknown form of energy that is thought to be responsible for the observed accelerated expansion of the universe. While the concept of dark energy is not purely theoretical in the sense that it has been proposed to explain certain observational data, its nature and properties remain mysterious, and it has not been directly detected or observed.

It is said that In an infinite Universe there are infinite possibilities.SOOOO! what if:
One possible explanation that would explain the coming into existence of our Universe would be if what we call the BB was result of the collision between two pre-existing high density Entities one being comprised entirely of Normal matter and the other entirely Anti-Matter, in which there were fewer Anti-Matter Particles Than there were NM particles in the NM Entity. So since the The fact that there was less AM Particles in the AM Entity than there were NM Particles in the NM Entity would explain the Asymmetry we see today with respect to the lack of AM. If you accept the existence of an eternal “Mother” Universe comprised of an infinite number of Entities, some of which are comprised entirely of Anti-Matter and others comprised entirely of Normal matter then it is not a great leap to imagine collisions between such Entities and given the unlikelihood of such Entities containing exactly the same number of Particles it is not a stretch to imagine the above noted scenario.
Of course this would be a violent event and any “leftover Entity” emerging out such an event would appear to have emerged out of an explosion as if it had come out of nothing. Of course the the Leftover Entity be it NM or AM may not result in the complete extinction of the smaller Entity and so some residual number of particles from the smaller Entity may remain due density differences in the two Universes which collided.
Such a collision/s would take place over some particular time-period which would vary given the make-up of the colliding Entities and the dynamics of the collision.
The temperature imprinted on the history of the emergent Entity may mimic that which is proposed to be the result of the BB. Such a “beginning of our Universe” would remove the assumption of the proposed Singularity of the BB model as well as the assumption of the seeming Instantaneous Inflation of the emergent Universe.
One of the inherent problems I see regarding the BB theory is it carries with it the “built-in” assumption of “the special case assumption” that always seems to linger in the background when we investigate Creation and our place in it. We assume that there was nothing before our Universe come into existence so this unwittingly implies something special about our Universe and hence Us. Whereas if there is an eternal Entity which may have spawned our Universe entirely by Chance we lose that importance. Just a thought that I have not fully fleshed out yet.

you are welcome, also, I too am impressed that you took the time to read through it. Most people would not. like I said it is one possible alternative to the BB. The BB may have happened but I have my doubts. Keep in mind it was a priest who first put forth the Idea of the BB ,although to the best of my knowledge he never used that term. A really smart priest apparently , but still a priest who would have been guided by his underlying belief in a "Creator" and the concept of "beginnings" and "endings". Keep in mind that "Energy cannot be destroyed therefore it has to be "Eternal”and since we know that Energy and Matter are 2 sides of the same coin It follows that Matter and Anti-Matter can spontaneously arise from Pure Energy.

yeah, the universe through the higgs field alone, should've created an equal amount of matter versus antimatter, but that's why I said through the higgs field alone. You still have bosons decaying into quarks creating an imbalance combined with the higgs field, there were more matter particles because of that decay, and 1 in 1 billion and 1, isn't that big of an imbalance and can be explained by bosonic decay. Second, that matter-vs-antimatter problem came AFTER the big bang, it wasn't from the first moment, so there was already a universe, and it's not the matter-vs-antimatter problem where the universe came from, it's just the matter in it that we now can see and detect. If it was really about matter and antimatter, then you should be accounting for bosons too.

One reason why there is something rather than nothing is the fact that there is something when according to thermodynamics energy and matter can't be created. Logically, if energy and matter can't be created then nothing would exist. The universe would be void of all energy and matter. Empirical observations indicate thermodynamics is wrong because the universe contains so much energy and matter that it is expanding exponentially, faster than the speed of light with great distance. That too is empirical evidence energy and matter can be created because if energy and matter could not be created then the universe would be static. It would not be expanding exponentially with great distance in every direction. Thus the entire paradox of something rather than nothing begins with the assumption energy and matter can't be created when we know dang well that can't be true. I wrote a book specifically about this topic titled SECRET UNIVERSE: OVER-UNITY by Ron Kemp.
