Aquaman being the winner isn't the worst thing. He's one of DC's big 5. Namor is given God like status one minute and loses to the F4 the next because he can't believe he has to convince Sue to sleep with him.
Namor's strength has been pretty consistent from 1939 to present. Aquaman has only had consistent strength the last 15 years or so. I do think Namor is stronger but I also think that Aquaman has better hacks. All in all a fairly even fight

This is my take, as succinctly as possible, Aquaman had to be retconned over the years to get him to the level of power where he's at today. Namor came on the scene FROM DAY 1 with the ability to punch the Hulk Square in the mouth and defeat him underwater. Nuff said.

aquaman's telepathy is also stronger thanks to his connection with the clear which enhance the strength and speed of aquatic creature so much so it can break Green lantern construct.
Plus his connection with the clear he can use it on any planet with sea life forms. He’s one of the few characters who can be a threat to anyone on any planet since Water is one of the main 4 elements regardless of dimension or universe
Namor doesn't need his fish to fight for him because he'd rather Duke it out with you like a man and has fought and defeated some of Marvel's heavy hitters like when he too fought Hercules and hit him so hard he sent Herc flying out of the water.
The only problems I have with death battle is that they sometines leave things out of the actual fight and they said that they do their fights for entertainment. If anything db should be where the debate begins not ends

Hmmmm.... Let me see... A person whose body allows him to live at depths up to and including the Marianas trench is bested by the weight of ONE killer whale... Spread out over the surface area of said killer whale. Physics anyone. Not only stupid, weak writing but also pretty fishy... Especially since he can trade blows with hulk and thor which im sure rate way over the weight of a killer whale per square inch. Comics are pretty much garbage these days. I enjoyed both the Aquaman movie and black panther Wakanda forever for different reasons because one is a fun spectacle popcorn movie the other is a more emotional story dealing with death, grief and consequences plus respecting and honoring real world cultures and people that haven't been portrayed the best way in movies or tv shows

Aquaman only seems to edge Namor, but in reality it would be a stalemate as their powers are pretty much the same. The issue is that DC has exploit Aquaman's power more in the comics, than Marvel have done with Namor. However, between the two characters, I believe Namor is more vengeful than Aquaman, which is why Namor have always been presented as an antihero from the beginning. Superman was severely holding back and Aquaman had help from Mera superman still won . Namor wins in my opinion ,he was able to stop attack from Thor and Ironman then no sell full power punch from captain marvel without moving an inch , then no sell a gamma nuke attack from savage she hulk (same she hulk that trades blow with immortal Hulk,funny enough in a canon crossover Aquaman was overpowered by a much weaker she hulk) he also defeated Amadeus cho hulk(someone who beat unworthy Thor) +and could crack the moon)he also defeated beta ray bill(someone who has destroyed planets on panel and is comparable to thor),he has also defeated hulk multiple times . He outclass Aquaman is strength, durability (aboslute bullet proof unlike Aquaman who is only bullet resistant)for sure. ,one way Aquaman can win is via mental assaults, namor is very resistant though, it can go either way But in terms of pure brawl, namor will win. Aquaman is no slouch, he's fought lobo for a while, trade blows with a severely holding back superman, defeated Martian Manhunter underwater with help from Mera and a volcano, stalemated Wonder Woman, defeated DC Hercules (weaker than Marvel one though) But the clear difference is namor has straight up beaten and overpowered most of the high tiers in marvel at some point like the entire Avengers (underwater) Thor(underwater) ,hulk(underwater) cho hulk(on land), beta ray bill(on land) etc
@@oluwadamilola6233 I don't disagree with you on this, as both characters have evolved since their first appearance in comics. I'm going with what was their initial powers, as both had pretty much the same power set, the difference was that Namor has always been a character with rage, and he is relentless if he goes after you. Aquaman despite having similar origin, he spent time on the land, then went to Atlantis and yes he had to go thru similar bullying but he was nurtured, while Namor had to prove himself on his own. However, I still see Namor beating Aquaman due to the rage that drives Namor, again this will be with their original power set. Things have changed since I read comics, so both DC and Marvel have change the characters a lot as time passed.
I've been a huge fan of both Marvel and DC since I was a young pup. I love to see how much both companies have grown in popularity. Even both companies are fans of each other. That says a lot!

Unlike aquaman namor have complete hydrokinesis and aquaman defeating Hercules isn't much of a feat cause marvel Hercules way more powerful than dc Hercules and beating hulk is a great feat too and his flying ability will give him an edge this is a close fight that could go either way.

I like both characters wholeheartedly, however, in my humble opinion, Namor would edge out Aquaman...his ability to fly gives him that edge! Toss Aquaman up in the atmosphere, zip around him with punches and or trident blows. It's over before he hits ground or splashes back into the sea.

Facts. The really gloss over how strong Namor is. He’s consistently among the strongest earthlings in Marvel since the silver age. He’s solo’d the F4 more times than anyone can count and is at least on par with Savage Hulk. He would split Aquaman’s head open.

the hydrokinesis doesn't give Namor an advantage? they have the same power set other than Namor's flight and hydrokinesis the additional powers seems like they would factor in. no question Aquaman is more well known but taking the win seems to be using batman reasoning
I’ve been subscribed to this channel for some time now. I used this channel to keep me up to date with stories going on in comics. I had stopped collecting comics in 1992 and I think I found this channel in 2016/2017 I think. I don’t think I’ve ever been compelled to leave a comment. I just hit the thumbs up. I have never laughed this hard at anything on this channel until Arris said he was a Puerto Rican Lord. That tickled the crap outta me. I disagree and would give the win to Namor. They are two evenly matched and too close to call. But Namor is really brutal and would never hold back. And really if they were fighting in water really evenly match but then again Namor could take the fight to the air and whip his ass up there..

I prefer Namor over Aquaman but I see where you came to this conclusion. I personally would give the win to Namor because the main continuity Namor is more willing to cross moral lines than the main continuity Arthur Curry. What one is willing to do is as important as what one is able to do. Namor would be quicker to be willing to make a killing blow. If you're going to imagine Namor losing to Aquaman just do me one favor. Don't have Aquaman smush Namor with an orca to win this time. That was a facepalm moment the first I saw it.
Dude you don't get it Aquaman is a demi God and he a the descendant of Poseidon, he pushed a continent, and he is some of the main heroes that faced superman, he can regenerate, and he cannot be pierced by anything unless it atlatian metal from his own world. Namor is not a God, he does not regenerate like Aquaman, he cannot simply Stab Aquaman because his metal is not from Curry's world, and his strength is vastly weaker than Curry's in which Namor strength is around the same strength level as Spider-Man's
Using more recent versions I would agree but there is no singular version of the characters. Creative teams will amp or nerf their abilities. Aquaman wasn't a demigod until the 2010s. He was originally just a hybrid of Atlantean and human with no deity lineage. His strength has fluctuated from a few times stronger than a human to Superman level. Namor has gone from as strong as the original Spider-Man to as powerful as the Hulk and people like Blue Marvel. It all boils down to personal preference and which version of each character is used. They did fight in the Marvel vs DC comics from the 90s which is the versions I was talking about. Aquaman won by dropping an orca on Namor while he was tied up. It was absolutely silly that was how he lost considering at the time he could life objects far heavier than an orca at the time.

I was 3-4 when I started watching Batman & Robin ‘60s I was 9 when Batman ‘89 dropped & I got to see it at the movies. And I was 12 when Batman Animated was released it was one of my fav after school shows it reminded me of the ‘89 & ‘92 movies. And for Me Kevin Conroy has always been the voice of Batman the only other one I consider up there is Jason O’Mara. Kevin Conroy is Batman just as Mark Hamill is The Joker. Aquaman is one of my favorite DC characters, but every time someone makes one of these videos vs Namor they serious underestimate Namor's strength. As strong as Aquaman is, Namor is stronger and can also fly. He could just grab Aquaman ,fly him up high in the sky and drop him on hard land or even toss him into space. They are pretty close on other attributes like speed and durability, but I'd give Namor the slight edge there as well. The thing that would make Aquaman win is his telepathy. Even if for some reason he can't do anything against Namor directly, he can literally turn everything in the sea against Namor and would win that way.
It is an objective fact that Aquaman is stronger as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean we take Namor's strength for granted, we just acknowledge that as impressive as he is, Aquaman is just more so. Every feat or ability Namor has, Aquaman has in spades. That's all. In fact, I would state that you are the one underestimating Aquaman. For one Namor is NOT stronger than Aquaman. So get that out of your head first. On paper, based on their feats, Aquaman has shown greater strength. That is well known by now. (Marvel fans equate being able to sucker punch Hulk as proof youre stronger for almost every character, but in reality, Hulk is very pedestrian when it comes to strength over in the DC universe) so Namor would need to somehow overcome his strength long enough to fly him to space. But even then, Aquaman can survive in space for some time too. In his earlier runs, we have been shown surviving in deep deep space. with nothing but breathing apparatus, having lengthy fights etc. but even if he didnt have that apparatus, He can hold his breath for very long periods of time in space. Now that is just his physiology that is superior. We need to talk about his Trident. Poseidon is the God of the seas, earthquakes, and ocean storms. as such, Aquaman has control over those elements too. The Trident is a divine weapon, granting him the ability to fly as well as teleport to any water source in the universe thanks to the "clear". So he's be able to fly in space too. One thin people's mistake with Aquaman is his dehydration weakness and heat resistance. Aquaman has heat resistance because Atlanteans survive living in waters near lava. writers forget that fact and translate them to having a weakness to heat like Kaldur was in Young Justice, which is not very accurate. SO Aquaman, can potentially fly through space with his trident, survive in deep space fly to a moon or something with water, then teleport to any planet in the universe that has it's own water. Aquaman has more feats, more powers to utilize as well as more mastery of those skills. Namor would not be able to take Arthur, not by a long shot. This fight is actually very advantageous.

Also, in the DC/Marvel crossover battle, Aquaman won by having a whale fall on Namor, pinning him long enough for Aquaman to be considered the winner. In the fight, Aquaman himself stated that Namor was stronger.

He clearly didn't internalize or agree with what Namor was saying, in fact, Aquaman was quite amused by the whole fight. While still analyzing what was going on. He saw they were near evenly matched, So he had to think out of the box to beat him. So never in the fight did his confidence in the fight falter. Even if what you are stating is true, the feats in the comics, when you do the math would disagree. Aquaman is just, faster, stronger, and more powerful with more abilities than Namor. sorry.

Aquaman's greatest advantage is him being a hero grants him access to plot armor. Namor doesnt have that since he's an Anti-hero and outright villain most of the time.
Aquaman can also effect people (psychic) on a minor level, I don't know why that doesn't get mentioned enough...his psychic abilities on humans is so lethal he can give you a mild headache to an aneurysm
I think Namor could win based on his mutant abilities giving him the edge. Other than that they are basically the same power set. I feel like Aquaman wins just because he’s more popular and therefore has more impressive feats. Either way Namor in the MCU was badass and needs his own movie ASAP.
While it may be true that both Neymar and Aquaman are half Atlantean and human and therefore equal in power you forgot to mention that what makes me more slightly more powerful is his mutant side. Let's see Aquaman fly
Just seen the BP2 film the producers captured Namor's character well until the last fight and Namor's final scene. There is no way the Namor from the comics 'yields' in a fight in order to save his own life. NO WAY! That tarnished his character, and lastly when questioned on ending a battle that the Talokans were CLEARLY WINNING brought the viewers to view him as weak. Besides these flaws, it was a really great movie.
Yielding to save one’s own life is logical it’s not something to be ashamed of It would actually be foolish if he didn’t yield and just accepted to be killed. Namor immense power has been more consistent for over 40 years as a powerhouse than Aquaman. They’re basically the same character in abilities except for Namor’s speed and flight and superior strength
They're basically the same, but Namor is also mutant and can fly, so he has the edge, and the guy is also more than 500 yrs old. In terms of skill and experience, Namor has an edge over Aquaman. Aquaman is their king, while Namor is their god.
Definitely would give it to Namor on this one. As much as I like aquaman, Namor has a slight edge with strength, speed and his ability to fly. Aquaman does have better mastery of Atlantean magic.
I'm sorry but Namor would own Aquaman. The sheer brutality of Namar and durability and strength alone would solo Aquaman. Side note: RIP to Kevin Conroy...absolute legend in voice acting 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
There's a few scenarios here to consider: If Namor can get them out of the water, he gets the upper hand. Flight adds a massive advantage, and even if Aquaman can find a way to deal with it, he may simply not have the time to. On dry land, Namor wins, at least in my opinion.
You must really hate Wolverine. Despite the result of the fan voted crossover, Lobo is many times more powerful. He has much better regeneration, even able to produce a clone army of himself, numbering millions, from a single drop of blood, is far, far, far stronger and faster, and able to tank blows from Superman, whilst laughing them off. Furthermore, he cannot be killed, as he has been banned from both heaven and hell. He doesn't age, nor need to eat and breath.

Aquaman only seems to edge Namor, but in reality it would be a stalemate as their powers are pretty much the same. The issue is that DC has exploit Aquaman's power more in the comics, than Marvel have done with Namor. However, between the two characters, I believe Namor is more vengeful than Aquaman, which is why Namor have always been presented as an antihero from the beginning. I'm going with what was their initial powers, as both had pretty much the same power set, the difference was that Namor has always been a character with rage, and he is relentless if he goes after you. Aquaman despite having similar origin, he spent time on the land, then went to Atlantis and yes he had to go thru similar bullying but he was nurtured, while Namor had to prove himself on his own. However, I still see Namor beating Aquaman due to the rage that drives Namor, again this will be with their original power set. Things have changed since I read comics, so both DC and Marvel have change the characters a lot as time passed.

Dude you don't get it Aquaman is a demi God and he a the descendant of Poseidon, he pushed a continent, and he is some of the main heroes that faced superman, he can regenerate, and he cannot be pierced by anything unless it atlatian metal from his own world. Namor is not a God, he does not regenerate like Aquaman, he cannot simply Stab Aquaman because his metal is not from Curry's world, and his strength is vastly weaker than Curry's in which Namor strength is around the same strength level as Spider-Man's
Using more recent versions I would agree but there is no singular version of the characters. Creative teams will amp or nerf their abilities. Aquaman wasn't a demigod until the 2010s. He was originally just a hybrid of Atlantean and human with no deity lineage. His strength has fluctuated from a few times stronger than a human to Superman level. Namor has gone from as strong as the original Spider-Man to as powerful as the Hulk and people like Blue Marvel. It all boils down to personal preference and which version of each character is used. They did fight in the Marvel vs DC comics from the 90s which is the versions I was talking about. Aquaman won by dropping an orca on Namor while he was tied up. It was absolutely silly that was how he lost considering at the time he could life objects far heavier than an orca at the time.

I was 3-4 when I started watching Batman & Robin ‘60s
I was 9 when Batman ‘89 dropped & I got to see it at the movies.
And I was 12 when Batman Animated was released it was one of my fav after school shows it reminded me of the ‘89 & ‘92 movies.
And for Me Kevin Conroy has always been the voice of Batman the only other one I consider up there is Jason O’Mara.

Namor is canonically half fish man, so that means Aquaman could use his mind powers to weaken him.
Aquaman is one of my favorite DC characters, but every time someone makes one of these videos vs Namor they serious underestimate Namor's strength. As strong as Aquaman is, Namor is stronger and can also fly. He could just grab Aquaman ,fly him up high in the sky and drop him on hard land or even toss him into space. They are pretty close on other attributes like speed and durability, but I'd give Namor the slight edge there as well. The thing that would make Aquaman win is his telepathy. Even if for some reason he can't do anything against Namor directly, he can literally turn everything in the sea against Namor and would win that way.
It is an objective fact that Aquaman is stronger as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean we take Namor's strength for granted, we just acknowledge that as impressive as he is, Aquaman is just more so. Every feat or ability Namor has, Aquaman has in spades. That's all. In fact, I would state that you are the one underestimating Aquaman.
For one Namor is NOT stronger than Aquaman. So get that out of your head first. On paper, based on their feats, Aquaman has shown greater strength. That is well known by now. (Marvel fans equate being able to sucker punch Hulk as proof youre stronger for almost every character, but in reality, Hulk is very pedestrian when it comes to strength over in the DC universe) so Namor would need to somehow overcome his strength long enough to fly him to space. But even then, Aquaman can survive in space for some time too. In his earlier runs, we have been shown surviving in deep deep space. with nothing but breathing apparatus, having lengthy fights etc. but even if he didnt have that apparatus, He can hold his breath for very long periods of time in space. Now that is just his physiology that is superior. We need to talk about his Trident. Poseidon is the God of the seas, earthquakes, and ocean storms. as such, Aquaman has control over those elements too. The Trident is a divine weapon, granting him the ability to fly as well as teleport to any water source in the universe thanks to the "clear". So he's be able to fly in space too. One thin people's mistake with Aquaman is his dehydration weakness and heat resistance. Aquaman has heat resistance because Atlanteans survive living in waters near lava. writers forget that fact and translate them to having a weakness to heat like Kaldur was in Young Justice, which is not very accurate. SO Aquaman, can potentially fly through space with his trident, survive in deep space fly to a moon or something with water, then teleport to any planet in the universe that has it's own water.
Aquaman has more feats, more powers to utilize as well as more mastery of those skills. Namor would not be able to take Arthur, not by a long shot. This fight is actually very advantageous.

Also, in the DC/Marvel crossover battle, Aquaman won by having a whale fall on Namor, pinning him long enough for Aquaman to be considered the winner. Even if what you are stating is true, the feats in the comics, when you do the math would disagree. Aquaman is just, faster, stronger, and more powerful with more abilities than Namor. sorry.

Aquaman's greatest advantage is him being a hero grants him access to plot armor. Namor doesnt have that since he's an Anti-hero and outright villain most of the time.
When was he an "outright" villain? And if he was for one issue, his motivations would usually reveal themselves in the next issue.
Aquaman can also effect people (psychic) on a minor level, I don't know why that doesn't get mentioned enough...his psychic abilities on humans is so lethal he can give you a mild headache to an aneurysm

There is no way the Namor from the comics 'yields' in a fight in order to save his own life. NO WAY! That tarnished his character, and lastly when questioned on ending a battle that the Talokans were CLEARLY WINNING brought the viewers to view him as weak. Besides these flaws, it was a really great movie.
Yielding to save one’s own life is logical it’s not something to be ashamed of

Namor immense power has been more consistent for over 40 years as a powerhouse than Aquaman. They’re basically the same character in abilities except for Namor’s speed and flight and superior strength
Plus Namor doesn't lose strength when he is out of the water
They're basically the same, but Namor is also mutant and can fly, so he has the edge, and the guy is also more than 500 yrs old. In terms of skill and experience, Namor has an edge over Aquaman. Aquaman is their king, while Namor is their god.

Definitely would give it to Namor on this one. As much as I like aquaman, Namor has a slight edge with strength, speed and his ability to fly. Aquaman does have better mastery of Atlantean magic.

There's a few scenarios here to consider:
If Namor can get them out of the water, he gets the upper hand. Flight adds a massive advantage, and even if Aquaman can find a way to deal with it, he may simply not have the time to. On dry land, Namor wins, at least in my opinion.
Namor debuted first and went the bearded long hair look twice in 1962 and 1992 long before Aquaman did.
Variant you guys should do a versus episode with Lobo and Wolverine
You must really hate Wolverine. Despite the result of the fan voted crossover, Lobo is many times more powerful. He has much better regeneration, even able to produce a clone army of himself, numbering millions, from a single drop of blood, is far, far, far stronger and faster, and able to tank blows from Superman, whilst laughing them off. Furthermore, he cannot be killed, as he has been banned from both heaven and hell. He doesn't age, nor need to eat and breath.
