Beautiful flip!! Absolutely love your setup. Also love the Plotter monthly and weekly, I’ve been planning on those for 2025. I love the Japanese planner aesthetic and the thin, thin paper is a game changer. Once I started using Hobonichi a few years ago I was a convert for life, I actually love the ghosting and how it gets “dented” (which I never in a million years would have imagined I’d like). I can’t get into the Bullet Journal 2.0 notebooks because the 120 GSM paper is too thick for me now (though I do still love the original 80 GSM notebooks :). Sorry to be waxing philosophic about paper… 😅 thanks for sharing!! ❤
Paper is such an important piece of the process. I totally get what you're saying. I caved and went went regular thick GSM paper for my 2025 inserts. My planner feels too empty with the thin paper if that makes sense. All that to say paper matters!
I'm so tempted to switch to rings. I journal a lot, probably more than I do planning. Sometimes I just vent, and days later, I don't like that I vented, and now it's there in my bound book. With rings, I could at least move them to storage so I don't dwell on the negative. That's why I like Happy Planner, but they are not purse friendly. And Sterling Ink selling lined tomoe for this might be my jam. Lol. Nice video. Lots of good info.
@@vernabailey3671 that could be a great alternative! I totally understand about venting and what’s with looking back at. The inserts also come in A5 so you can have a roomy page for all the things. Thanks so much for the kudos.
Lovely setup! I just shared my ring setup too! Although I enjoy bound planners and TNs too there is something very satisfying about flipping thru a ring setup. I will say setting up rings can be very inexpensive as far as start up goes. Of course you can go lots of levels with the cover. But there are so many amazing freebies and some you can customize in Adobe. So you can setup a great planner to test out your system. Definitely want all the things because they are pretty but I love that there’s so many amazing freebies in the community!
HI Sujey ! Thanks for the flip! I would love to know if you take pages out to work on them or if you write directly in the personal size. That is a thing I bump into, but I have a new Malden personal size, and she’s so cute! So I’m working out logistics. Also, how do you have such consistent rounded corners with self-printed inserts? THANKS!
@@lynnelor2011 I’m not patient enough to take inserts out 🥴 I always plan directly in the rings. The flyleaf helps with the bumps that the deco creates. I use a corner trimmer! I like the look. It’s really inexpensive and you can find them on Amazon. I believe the one I use is linked in my Amazon storefront in the video. But you can do a search and find them. Thank you! 🙏🏽
Love your setup and style. I am itching to be in rings as well! :D I wonder if you can share how you got the gold rings? When I look online I only see silver. Thanks!
Def! I purchased the rings on Amazon, just search gold Moterm personal rings and I swapped them out with some basic tools I had at home. Even a coin would work to remove and replace the screw.

Your "weekend planner" is brilliant!

I agree with the expense being greater to get started - and the freebies out there really do help!

You did great!! I do like the thin paper but at this time I’m into chunky..,but your planner is beautiful and classy!!
