So let me get this straight. In layman's terms the dispatch subscription service is like a Life alert but for security officers? Able to get you outside emergency resources without having to use a separate phone? And it's like firstnet where if another 9/11 happened in the phone lines were down you'd still be able to get through? And they do status checks to make sure you're still good? That's pretty sweet. If only it was all band instead of just cellular. It's nice to be able to program a radio to your old radio frequencies as you transition over to the new system or to other agencies frequencies to either listen or do interagency ops. But that's just me. That's a cool piece of tech you got there 👍
Echo911 is the best dispatching service that you can get. Why? Because their dispatchers are all certified police communications officers (because they DO work for government agencies, as well). We use them here at my department, and I get the same level of service with them, that I got from county when I was a cop
It's a Inrico IRC 590 I believe. It's basically android inside if it is the "radio" I'm thinking of, it's got a camera somewhere above the microphone and speaker.
It is. I watched a video where the people that are selling this radio are doing a test, In my opinion, I can't say for sure, but it sounds a lot like its running the Zello app.
My radio arriving tomorrow or Thursday so glad this dropped so I could see. Do they have emergency tones on the radio for when priority calls are dispatched or when they are broadcasting emergency radio traffic?
Quick question my man. I respect the hustle and grind, however is it really that safe working 18 hours straight as you say, not to mention the fact that you are in an ARMED position? How is you decision making abilities and reactionary performance after that long?
I be prepared,I sleep all day but it's not normal,I had a guy who recently resigned due to school starting and him having to take his kids and pick them up so it threw everything off ,but normally I don't work doubles
Is echo 911 cost effective for companies that need several radios including mobile radios? Can you share the price plan etc? I'd love to see you use the radio while working.
