I’m so happy to have been part of the Superclub era in which The Judge ripped up dance floors across the country. His quirky T-shirts and slogans made him all the more lovable. Sadly a little known Dutch DJ who now produces music for 13 year olds, changed the DJ landscape. Clubs across the country couldn’t get punters through their doors and over time we lost national institutions such as Cream, Gatecrasher, Golden, Trade, Fabric, The Arches, Gods Kitchen to name but a few. Clubland owes so much to Jules and we should never forget that …..The Judge won’t budge !!!!
I was too young to be there but connected via his radio 1 shows. Electronic dance music peaked into and just after the millenium for me. My entire vinyl collection or almost I owe to Jules.
Judge Jules 5pm Saturday's on Radio 1. People listened religiously to his show. I think the internet has ruined society even though I use it like everyone else.

Me too. I’m happy to have been part of that scene and to have made my little contributions.

He was top notch in the late 90s and early 00s. The peak era imo of electronic dance music. Some of his gatecrasher sets were out of this world.
