    This is the only video on UA-cam which shows changing all 4 sparkplugs of Z800, really really appreciate your work!! After seeing the video I am definitely sure that I cannot do this at home. I will have to visit Kawasaki service.

      Prasad Kedare, no no no please try yourself.
      That’s the reason for these videos, to show you can.
      It’s not difficult, just awkward.
      If you have the correct tools, and be patient you can do it👍🏼

    I absolutely felt your pain there - I suffered similar shenanigans fitting plugs 2 and 3 to my 2007 Z1000 - combination of plug spanner out the bike toolkit - 14mm socket taped to that - "wobble extension" - etc. etc. plus using bungee cords to hold thermostat, clutch cable etc. out the way! Thank you for sharing!

    Great video, thank you for making this, really helpful as I'm just about to service my z800.
    Just one question with regards to making life easier to remove the two middle cylinder plugs.
    Instead of trying to remove the radiator hose underneath the coolant filler cap, could you remove the hose at the radiator and just lift the radiator cap unit out whilst feeding the pipe through.
    Hopefully this would then give easier access to the plugs, granted you would have to do a coolant change but that would be all part of the service anyway.
    Just a thought and I welcome your view.
    Thanks again.

    Your job is very good. I'm a software developer and working to build my mechanic garage of motorcycle in Brazil. Yours videos is an inspiration for me. And i have to ask, my motorcycle is a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2015, you have any idea where i find the service manual?

    • @notamotorbikemechanic
      @notamotorbikemechanic  4 роки тому

      Hi, Haynes do a manual for the Tiger 2013-2015. Or you can probably get an online manual from tritun.net, but you have to pay for this by the hour.

    Did you stick with the standard copper spark plugs? NGK's vehicle parts finder suggest that Iridium spark plugs are compatible, but some people say stick to what the bike comes with when new?

    • @notamotorbikemechanic
      @notamotorbikemechanic  3 роки тому +1

      I think I used the standard plugs on this job, but have used Iridium plugs.
      Can’t say I noticed any difference with Iridium plugs, but they last longer so don’t have to change them as often.

      @@notamotorbikemechanic thank you for your response :) I've ordered Iridium ones. Gonna be fitting them soon. Given it's such a long winded and fiddly job to do, I'll be happy not having to change them as often.

    • @notamotorbikemechanic
      @notamotorbikemechanic  3 роки тому +1

      Could be a number of things, plugs, stale fuel, dirty air filter.
      How often do you ride/run it, when was it last serviced.
      But I would start with basic stuff, like plugs.

      Notice the tools I'm using.
      *Thin extension bar
      *hinged adapter
      If you use a thick, straight extension bar, you probably won't get the angle you need.

    4:05 torque for z800 is 13nm on sparkplugs. www.manualslib.com/manual/849459/Kawasaki-Z800.html?page=27#manual page 27 to 32 is all torque for this bike.

    after i changed the plugs the engine light turnd on i cheaked everything the wires the coils that are put all the way in , i even change back to the old spark plugs and still the engine light is on after i start the engine, dont know what to do?

    • @notamotorbikemechanic
      @notamotorbikemechanic  4 роки тому

      I can’t see any logical reason that simply changing the plugs would cause this?
      I suspect you may have pulled a lead/block connector/breather pipe or something like that, you said you checked...check again.
      If not maybe it’s just a coincidence, and you have something else wrong.
      Let me know how you get on.
