Another great tool for us. You are really making our lives so easier and thanks a ton for your great work and contributions to the astrophotographer community. I am running short of words to appreciate you, dear Frank. Just a BIG Thank You.👃👃👃
Yet another great feature for post processing! Watching the video makes me wow every minute or so. Gonna try it right now. Unbelievale pace of CAS's improving and expanding. As always, much respect for your work, sharing and to-the-point videos, Frank 👍👏🤝
I am amazed how quickly new functionality is be pumped out with this suite. Great work Franklin! Thanks for your hard work. All users please donate even a small amount if you can to help keep making the suite even better. It will one day surpass all the others and become the cream of the crop.
Wow. I was hoping you’d be able to add something like this someday. This is way more than I expected. Really amazing to see how it works. Not only did you create these awesome tools , but your demonstration videos are also fantastic. Thank you very much. I’m wow’d.
again boomshakalaka! cant wait to try masks out ... thanx frank🎉 ... im still a bit lost figuring out the best osc-workflow tho ... so many options in this suite! but im really enjoying this journey 🔥
Best to think of this as an actual desk you are drawing on and some folders off to the side to store other drawings. you can actively by coloring on one drawing. then swap that piece of paper with a different drawing to then mark up. it is just an in the program storage spot for you other images instead of having to save and open the files all the time.
👏🏻👏🏻 I have no idea how you add these new features so fast, incredible, just wish I could get the suite to work with AVG installed, for some reason it just won’t allow the programme to run ☹
One feature request but don't know if this is even possible as siril for example can't do it. I use askar color magic filters with OSC camera. When I do the stacking in sirilic it produces 3 mono images (ha, o3, s2). I also shoot some subs with a broadband filter just for the stars to get proper color. If I am using the whole frame it's simple enough to add the broadband stack at the end for the stars. But let's say I want to crop the stacks, I can just run a crop sequence in siril no problem but siril does not let me add an rgb image to a sequence where the rest of the images are mono. Basically looking for a star alignment function for multiple images that can accept both mono and osc images at the same time and align them for proper cropping.
currently if you load them into setiastrosuite and crop the first one, the crop tool has a load last crop, so you can swap images to slot 0 and crop the next with the exact same crop settings, and just do that for each of them... i should add a feature to batch crop all slots too
i just added that feature if you want to redownload. i didnt make it a new version number since it was a small quick change but you can try it out. batch crop all slots if an option in the crop tool now
Frank, this is awesome work, so much appreciated! These are amazing tools! BTW, does the curves tool work already? I'm running v2.10 on Windows 10 64-bit and it seems to freeze when I try it, same as previous versions for me. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue, thanks!
It shouldnt freeze, be sure to get the latest 2.10.x version. Is it just a big file? What are the dimensions? My guess is it is a big file and a slow cpu. Just be patient when you hit apply
Thansk for the quick reply Franklin! I figured out that I need to double-click on the curve to get a point to be able to drag it... didnt' know that. If I just click and try to drag, the curve doesn't move :) I hit another issue: in 2.10.1 version, from the perfect palettes, if I try to save the combined file in .fits or .fit, either 16 or 32 bit, it only gives a very small (58kb or so) file which I cannot open with any tool later on. Saving it in .tif or .png seems to work fine I went back to version 2.7.5 and using the same Ha/Oiii/Sii linear images works fine and I am able to output a .fits ... It is possible a bug has been introduced? Thanks Franklin!
Dear astro friend, you seem to know, how to build a sotware. My biggest whish would be, to have some kind of plate solve, when I do planets. You are a very bright guy. So, do you think, this is possible? Take care and thank you in advance, Christian 😊
@@setiv2 When I do planetary with my 10" Newton with a 2x Barlow, my problem is allways to find the planat. I wonder, if its possible some how, to automate that process or at least to make it easyer.
@@setiv2 You are building something with all the functions 99% of people need, but without all the stuff that only gets touched by 1% or less of people (and probably a ton of legacy functions). On top of that you are building a modern UI. Awesome work Frank - and yes of course you will be impacting PI. Why buy a space rocket to get to the shops one mile down the road?

Masks ftw! One of the best tools. Thanks for the contribution! You’re quickly being elevated to the Mt. Rushmore of astrophotography.
Always making astro better thanks to Frank !!!
Wow! You just keep knocking it out of the park. Awesome work.
Very good approach. Thanks
Thank you for creating these tools. Amazing.
Looking forward to trying out all the latest features... awesome work for sure !
Haha! Only a Louisiana boy would use that Mardi Gras mask icon for your buttons! I love it.
Why not?!? Some people are way too serious in this hobby :)

Man you are a machine with these updates, big thanks for this wonderful & powerful software
fantastic, excited to try this out
So cool! I can’t keep up with your updates! Thanks for all your work, Frank!

It's crazy watching how fast this is growing. It's very exciting.
brilliant Franklin, thanks!

Wonderful job done with this suite !!! Thanks a lot, it simplify some stuffs more difficults in Pixinsight!
Another great addition to the tool set. Would it be possible to rename the slots to make it easier to know what's in them?
Yes v2.10 is coming out right now with all those features
Great ! Extremely useful feature...

you are going to have to whitelist it or something. turn off avg is the only other thing i can suggest
Happy Carnival Frank!
It’s also Carnival season in Trinidad. And I kid you not. The name of one of the private parties is Cosmic Clarity! 😂
That is awesome!!
Waiting for this ❤❤
Carnival season and masks. Love it. Do I have to uninstall the previous version to do an update?
It just downloads the newest version. Delete the old version and use the new one
@@setiv2 Thanks Frank!
Wonderfull tool Frank. Is it implemented in Pixinsight? Thanks
Masks? Masks are already in PI. Or you mean my FAME script for mask creation. That script is already out there too

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700KF 3.40 GHz -RTX 3060
You are hitting some unknown bug for sure. Can you tell me what you were doing when it crashed? What type of file, what process, etc
If you added python image scripting capability, i might transition from Pixinsight altogether.
bravo
Are you building a Pixinsight..? lol
NO lol
