Luckykuku you're doing the Lord's work, son.
Luckykuku this comment needs more likes
spoilers >:(
Luckykuku you're the hero we didn't deserve. This made it easy to skip the games I already own so I could hear a mini review on other games.
thank you
I see Professor Layton.
I see the like button.
I click.
Like a true gentleman
KnightNight Exactly.
u liek wat u see
YOU SHOW THEM THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#%T$G?
Fodimin *insert the thats it animation of the game when you solve a puzzle*
"I beat the shit out of this game" proZD 2017
That's video game abuse
Nicholas Borg Are you sure it's not "played"? lol
i spit out my mtn dew
I loved Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl a lot myself.
Sito C If it's about the mystery dungeon game, he clearly says played.
Dude! If you liked Super Mystery Dungeon go play Explorers of the Sky right now! It is the most amazing Pokemon game ever, not even kidding. It is THAT good.
Kai SchSp honestly i have trouble getting into other pokemon mystery games bc Sky was my first and i immediately compare every one i try to Sky and none of them even compare imo.
Stephanie Andersen same. I even liked the sprites and art style of Sky more than those new 3D graphics.
I played Time, but I get that Sky is better because it has some bonus content, but I have to say that PMD Explorers of Time was the best pokemon game I've ever played and one of my favorite games of all time. He should play it if he liked PMD Super (I haven't played that one because the new style really throws me off). The first game PMD Red Rescue Team was a pretty great Gba game too (with hard but fun aftergame goals).
Dude. Basically all Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games before GTI were phenomenal. I consider them all to be "canon" except for that one lol. I feel like it just went downhill from there which is sad. Even Super Mystery Dungeon which is so similar yet so different from the first ones isn't anywhere near as good as the first two generations of the series though I do still love it.
Kai SchSp you right
I always appreciate the animal crossing music in the background of these videos. Just makes it really calming.
I was playing Animal Crossing New Leaf when I saw this video come up, so I turned my volume off on my 3DS, and when I opened the video it was back on and it took me too long to realize it was your video and not my 3DS
Newton Geiszler my copy of New Leaf got fried somehow. Hundreds of hours down the drain :/
professor Layton has summoned me
Lydia T Or I have summoned you...
Professor Layton oml
Lydia T Every puzzle has an answer...
Professor Layton This reminds me of a puzzle.
Lydia T same I love professor layton
Thank you for finally mentioning me, gentleman. *tips hat*
Professor Layton
A gentleman never leaves a puzzle unsolved
yap
Professor Layton a gentleman always notices another.
Taylord Of course, gentleman! ;)
Professor Layton it’s good to see a true gentleman appearing in the comment section. Good day to you, dear Layton
"Im kinda disapointed there wasnt a D+P Remake" Oh boy...
"The wii one was shit"
Honey, you've got a big storm coming.
Kid Icarus: Uprising is my jam.
NickNicholas You should get that 3D arcade version of Tue orginal game on the eshop or whatever that's a called
Uprising is one of the vest games I've ever played.

Nice list, but Mario Kart 7 isn't eShop only. Edit: Haven't watched the whole video---I'm not sure if you meant that Pro has it on the eShop.
It was written in the order he said it, will update
Pocket card jockey is great
Damn, no monster hunter. :(
"The characters were OK"
But what about Lysanderoth...
Professor Layton games are so underappreciated
Mine is Mario (featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series) & Knuckles
Bret Ginn yes
+ bowsers minions
that sounds like SMT Nocture lol
fire emblem echoes is one of the best 3ds games I love it
I remember getting the original ds with professor Layton and the curious village and playing it for hours on end. Defiantly one of my favourite games of all time
Are you going to call your son SungTwo?
SungOne, meet your great grandson... SungFour.
SungLose
@@olidon96 SungLost
nah its obviously Sonwun duh
Fire Emblem is basically crack.
Yeah but it's not illegal ;)
professor layton vs phoenix wright I haven't finished it yet but I really like how you have to use real world logic and fantasy logic to pick apart a witnesses testimony plus the characters were interesting I wish we could see more johnny smile though
A hidden gem of a game, Ever Oasis. It has town management like Animal Crossing and dungeon crawling like Legend of Zelda. With cute character designs and an enjoyable plot.
You need to play Kid Icarus: Uprising! My favourite 3DS game by far. Extremely charming with brilliant voice acting, writing and story. The controls take some getting used to, and even now after playing through it many times I will admit I can't play the game for very long sessions (shorter sessions are best if you want to avoid minor hand cramps). However, it is definitely worth playing to the end. It has the best Nintendo villain of all time, too (I will fight anyone who disagrees with that!). I deeply hope we will get a sequel to Uprising on Switch as it is truly one of the best games I have ever played.
It's been over 4 years and I still want Hades to bone me irl
I know I've seen other people comment this, but I must reiterate. If you enjoyed Super Mystery Dungeon, you've gotta play Explorers of Sky. It's really fun and charming and I'm sure you'd have a good time with it.
OldCrotchety no it's awful it's furry material
Mine are:
Animal crossing new leaf (I hear the background btw)
Yo-kai watch 2
Fire emblem: Fates
Fire emblem: awakening
Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Kirby Planet Robobot
Kirby Triple Deluxe
Pokémon moon (Lunala ftw)
Fire Emblem Echoes is my favorite. A close second is Bravely Default from what I've played of it
do you have a switch yet?
also, if you want a pokemon mystery dungeon game with an even better story, play explorers of the sky for the ds. its got an amazing story and really good music.
sullivan.b to be fair a Nintendo switch is REALLY hard to find without paying premium on amazon cause they're sold out every where, but luckily I got a switch on launch day
Yomoamus nane no only only in murrica in my country there is ton of switches (i still dont have one tho)
My favorite 3DS games:
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D (an excellent remaster of what was already my favorite Zelda game)
The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Kirby Planet Robobot
Animal Crossing New Leaf (I swear, AC is literally the only life-sim series that I can legitimately get invested in long-term)
Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (the two series just feel so right together!)
Etrian Odyssey IV: Legend Of The Titan (the soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro alone keeps me coming back)
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (aka the closest we're gonna get to an Elite Beat Agents sequel any time soon)
Code Of Princess (a Guardian Heroes clone with fun, Saturday morning cartoon-esque characters and dialogue)
Boxboy
Dillon's Rolling Western
Pushmo
Pocket Card Jockey
The Legend Of Dark Witch Episode 2: The Price Of Desire (one of the better Mega Man clones I've played)
Azure Striker Gunvolt
Mutant Mudds (the demo for which was one of the first things I ever played on my 3DS)
Mighty Switch Force
Steamworld Dig
Gunman Clive
Spot on with the zero escape series. All of them really but I was frustrated with how zero escape ended.
play monster hunter games
Duck 0verlord ^^Yes
We wouldnt be getting any new videos for the next 2 years if he did
True
Duck 0verlord I know right! I was shocked he didn't talk about mh
Thomas T Not nowadays, but 5+ years ago definitely
You should really play Shin Megami Tensei 4. It's like Pokemon but harder and with more adult themes and with freaking demons instead of Pokemon that you need to befriend or bribe in order to join you. It's got a good story and the demon fusion system is very addicting. Also its probably the best entry point to the franchise if you never played SMT so you can pick it up without playing the previous games. If you like it you can also get the sequel Apocalypse which continues the story. Cheers!
That freaking game changed my life... at least in terms of videogames.
Played some of it, enjoyed it, the difficulty is kinda wild if you're new though
I've always wondered if SungWon’s ever played any Megami Tensei games other than Persona
A Link Between Worlds is easily the best 3DS game.
That game is brilliant. The mechanics they added are genius
I loved Echoes. I felt the characters were may more interesting than those in Awakening and Fates. But yeah, the gameplay was more rudimentary. I like how Intelligent systems has found a way to cater to both old and new fans
all I needed to see was Professor Layton in the thumbnail and I immediately liked. It's always great to see fans of the series considering its such a hidden gem.
You need to bless you self with kid Icarus
Official Guy Was that game any good? I tried it for a bit but wasn't a huge fan, I'll probably give it a shot again
I like kid Icarus
I like trains.
I honestly think KIU may be the best game on the system.
FLOOR ICE CREAM GIVES YOU HEALTH!! Monster Pheromone, Pit going insane, Dyntos, Magnus, Dark Pit, Viridi, and the jewel of satire Hades. This game is perfect AND I WANT A SEQUEL!!!
I didn't know that there was a physical release of PWAA vs Professor Layton, the digital version took up a lot of space on my 3DS. But, on the other hand, I have all of the main series Phoenix Wright games downloaded digitally on my 3DS SD card, so that's not so bad.
As for Rhythm Heaven Megamix, anybody who hasn't played it needs to right now.
At the least, take a look at some of the Rhythm Games. Take it from somebody who has played countless 3DS games.
I may be going off track a third time, but I am also hyped for the Superstar Saga and Metroid 2 remake on 3DS.
On top of your list, I would add Kid Icarus Uprising and Fantasy Life
Kurono Reaper two great games
Guess who's going to be poor after buying some quality 3DS games..
you
@@lukejensen1222 Why yes!
Although I didn't actually buy that many games SungWon recommended. Pokémon X/Y and ORAS are still absolute bangers though
Disagree with you on Echoes. Love me some Echoes.
Minako Arisato I see you everywhere. Since your name/profile pic have to do with persona I have a question for you. Have you played persona q? Thoughts?
Minako Arisato
Yep, I agree
Echoes has great story, great writing and interesting but not exaggerated characters (ESPECIALLY if you compare it to previous 3ds titles), the gameplay was also good in my opinion and I don't see much problem with it (I mean it can have some bs...like cantor and witches but it was still really fun), I think that addition of Mila Turnwheel was best idea ever. (I also liked Fatigue and 1 damage mechanic)
AJ Plays Games 8907 I think it's kind of shit tbh. The characters are caricatures of their original versions and the gameplay gets boring fast. You're better off playing a different Persona or Etrian Odyssey games.
AJ Plays Games 8907
If you want to start playing Etrian Odyssey I highly recommend that you start with either Etrian Odyssey Untold 1 or Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 (Untold 2 is better tho...I sinked so many hours into that game)
There is also Etrian Odyssey V that I'm really excited about (Atlus decided to bring it over...thank...the god)
Chris R aka.K.R The reason why I considered q is because the characters are already ones that I know and love so I thought it'd be easier to get into the series if they added in the EO mechanics while still keeping those core persona mechanics that I've been used to for years so that I wouldn't need to go in COMPLETELY blind when I pick up my first EO game. This would also be the chance to test if this is my type of game while still keeping familiarity with a series that I've been a fan of for a while.
Y'know for a guy who seems to like story and characters I'm surprised Kid Icarus: Uprising wasn't on the list. The gameplay takes a bit of getting used to but it's well worth it to experience the plot, characters, and dialogue. It feels like a series of a TV show in one game, complete with little story arcs and everything.
The lack of National Dex in Sun totally bummed me too, I'm glad you felt the same!
Do MORE of this kind of long anime/game vids plz!!! I literally could watch you talk all day.
Kid Icarus uprising was a stellar game if you can adjust to the controls
I really don't know how I feel about ultra sun and moon, but I can't judge it too harshly yet, as not much is known about it..
It's Pokémon, I don't think I'm actually capable of disliking it.
Honestly I think Sun and Moon were better than the Ultra games. I loved the Ultra Necrozma battle and traveling trough Ultra space so much but Sun and Moon had much bettet story. The new games almost kill the personalities of the characters and they make the stoty seem wery disoriented. I would have preferred a sequel rather that that.
I don't have much interest in Nintendo but i could listen to you speak all day.
KnightNight Its real good Nintendo
Yeah ive been thinking about purchasing a 3ds and saving for a Nintendo switch hopefully i will enjoy some of these games ive only played the obvious ones like Mario
Great! If you want a good series I recommend Fire Emblem, you can start with roms or the ones on the 3DS
If you buy a 3ds, buy the one of the best games made in history, ocarina of time remastered.
Pigpug Pigpug tru
Man, you hit the same thoughts I had with all the Pokémon games. Kalos felt eh and very forgettable but Alola felt like such a new experience and a breath of fresh air that Pokémon really needed and I hope they continue that idea. Characters, region, Pokémon all good. &I I'm def salty about no sinnoh remakes. Instead we get SM v2, not even sequels, just an updated version.
Sad to hear about Echoes, I've yet to but it. Triple Deluxe was also fun and I'll be buying Super Mystery Dungeon down the line. Give Time or Darkness a chance, pretty great game if you like the series.
Honestly, I love how in mostly all your videos you have Animal Crossing music playing in the background and it makes my heart super happy
One of my favourites is majoras mask for the 3ds. I loved the atmosphere and characters.
When Ultra Sun came out I said meh. I waited until sword and shield came out (which I never played) but ultra sun was on sale. I picked it up and surprisingly it was even better than Sun. Didn’t think there was going to be a big difference but it was incredible especially the end game stuff with traveling through wormholes to hunt legendaries.
My boyfriends and my Nintendo got stolen while I was traveling in America and my Zero Escape game was in it (that i was SO close to finishing) when it was stolen...you can't even grasp the hard break I felt. We never even got to play our Nintendo's together. 😢😢😢
I love the soundtrack of Professor Layton and the Ezran Legacy! The best soundtrack out of the whole Layton series
Glad to see you mention Pocket Card Jockey, I love that game! It's so silly, yet so addictive
No Rune Factory 4? Dude, you should check it out! ;)
Love the way the audio changes when your cute cat walks in front of the mic haha
I played and love most of games you mentioned. So i'll definitely check out few ones I have not played
Pokémon bank was a around before Pokémon sun and moon. It was a thing when red, blue, and yellow where re-released in the 3DS virtual Consol. It was actually a selling point that you could transfer your Pokémon from red, blue and yellow to poke one Sun and Moon.
The first pokemon mystery dungeon game I played was Explorers of the Sky, and I looooved it so much. the story was phenomenal for me - for what a little 9 or 10 year old could understand. I want to play the new 3DS mystery dungeon games soon.
the one thing that took Sun down a few pegs for me were the SOS-exclusive pokemon. you cant get them except from an SOS from specific pokemon and theres no way to tell if theyre SOS exclusive or WHICH pokemon you need to call them. Made it a pain in the ass to catch all the pokemon. fuck.
New Leaf is the best shit tho
"Just made me wanna play Sacred Stones"
*_Mah man._* That was the best.
Kind of funny, since SS is supposed to be the spiritual successor to Gaiden/Echoes.
I fucking love it too
Can we have a Professor Layton squad? X3
Right here!
i Met a Knight go Phoenix wright
Yes! I love Phoenix Wright too!
“Says Animal crossing”
Cat walks by.
Dope video. I like that's it's a favorite games list not a best games list. All the "best games" list are super similar cause of course the same games are gonna wind up on there. I dig the chill music in the background. You're just a dope guy making dope videos and that comes across. Dope cats 10:16
mystery dungeon explorers of time/darkness/sky destroyed my tiny heart when i was a child
You should check out the Shin Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey games
Also surprised you didn't enjoy FE Echoes, I find it on par with Awakening, if not better. There are some issues like cantors flooding the maps, but it was so unique for a Fire Emblem title that I could help but enjoy it
Gotta recommend BOX BOY, I feel like you would like it. The second one, BOX BOX BOY, is also very good.
Haven't played the third one, yet!
If you played it, what did you think of Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds. I loved it. Not my favourite 3DS game but I still loved it.
I could never really get into animal crossing. I liked what I played, but it never hooked me enough to get me to play every day.
Was literally just thinking about a diamond and pearl remake this morning, would be great!
I loved pokemon super mystery dungeon because of all the random npc references to old mystery dungeon games. There's Ninetales and Absol from the original (I know they're the same because they mention the player character from that game, that they knew a human), I think there's Gengar from the original, Wishcash from the original, there's Guildmaster Wigglytuff and Chatot from explorers of time/darkness/sky, I think there's Xatu from the original, just to name a few. I remember more characters from the original game because to me, it holds more of place in my heart for some reason; there was just something about it that made it feel more special. Maybe it's because you had your own house in-game, maybe it's because of all the friends and their home areas you could recruit and purchase, maybe it's because of all the trials you went through in-game and all the friends you made. I don't know, it's weird.
If you like Mystery Dungeon games, I recommend Etrian Mystery Dungeon, a mystery dungeon take on one of my favorite series on the 3DS and DS, Etrian Odyssey.
Whoawhoawhoa, you've played Zero Escape?!
Damn, I need to go back and watch your NDS video...
Pokemon, Zero Escape, Picross, Ace Attorney, Prof Layton, 3D Land... We have a lot of the same tastes in games! I will definitely give some of the others a try. Fire Emblem has been on my list for practically forever :D
sungwon's taste in games matches mine love it!!! my personal top fave franchises would probably be Ace Attorney and Zero Escape. i wonder if he'd like Danganronpa? edit: actually i just remembered from other videos that he found Danganronpa characters creepy lmao
If you like pokemon mystery dungeon, do yourself a favour and play explorers of time and darkness (or the upgrade Explorers of Sky). I've played all of them, and they're all lovely, but time and darkness changed my life yo.
Thumbs up for the Soulsilver nod. My nuzlocke in Moon was the first one where I didn't puss out, but it made the game almost as good as SS. Rest In Peace Forrest Whittaker the Decidueye: Lvl 5-49
Im glad we have similar tastes! You should really try out some Mario & Luigi games.
I would love to see a ranking video of all the Professor Layton games please
PSMD is my all time favorite video game, and it's really lovely to see others enjoy it a lot as well! I recommend checking out RRT (Red Rescue Team) on the GBA if you're looking for something a bit tougher/more evil, and that one has a good story too. EOS also has some decent special episodes/a story by itself (but Special Episode 5 is amazing, though it's a drag to unlock) but it's more or less the polished gameplay which makes that one worth the play
always enjoy watching pro zd talking about the games and shows he loves 👍
My heart felt so warm when you talked about Pokémon Sun~
OH MY GOD WE ALSO HAVE THE SAME 3DS MODEL AAAAA
"I'm a big fu- I love fire emblem" i thought he was gonna say I'm a big fucken cutie
Aww, it's a shame you didn't like Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It's my second favorite 3DS game. (My favorite is Virtue's Last Reward!) It's funny you should mention that you disliked it during the Triple Deluxe portion, because I found Triple Deluxe a little... boring? I dunno, I just couldn't get into it. The gameplay was just a little too simple for me. Of course, opinions will differ, and that's fine. For instance, I found SM3DL a little bit bland, and the sequel was a letdown as it just wasn't as good as SM64, SMS, and SMG. 999 and VLR are just amazing games to the point where VLR is one of my favorite games of all time! Like you, I think ZTD was a bit of a disappointment... they should have stuck with the visual novel style, but ultimately it's still a decent conclusion to the series. I don't think MKWii was shit at all, and in fact I thought it was better than MK7 (though not as good as MKDD or MK8).
*Goes in full depth about games*
*At the ending*
"I don't give a fuck bye"
Such abrupt change of pace.
One of my favourites for 3ds is project x zone 2 it’s massive crossover game with so many characters and I love how overtop and goofy the story gets in the game.
I was planning on buying a 3DS soon and I'm so glad you did this vid because I wasn't sure which games to buy! Thanks! 😁
wait for the new 2ds xl it looks amazing, also saves $50
Papa Pepperoni I'm thinking of buying the New 3DS xl because I want to have the 3D option and apparently it's 3D is a much more improved version of the 3DS
I absolutely adore Pokemon X. It's by far my favorite Pokemon game. I played that game to a pulp.
"I hoped you liked it and if not I don't give a fuck." Best channel doing game videos haha.
Cubic Ninja is definitely my favorite.
And now for the real answer: Mine is a tie between Mario Kart 7 and all of Pokemon Gen 6 (Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, and Y) Mario Kart is enjoyable for the replay-ability. I got back in the racing game mood about 2 months ago, and HOLY CRAP am I addicted. I get a rush of excitement every time I get 3 Stars on Mirror mode. It's also good for local multiplayer. I play this game with my friends all the time and it makes the experience more exciting. My only complaint is the lack of tracks. After a few months, you start to memorize races and the order of every cup. Now for Pokemon. I was never the type of person to like rpg stories. Which is why everything I love about this game is in the post-game. I LOVE shiny hunting. I've caught over 30 shinies to burn time, and almost nothing is more satisfying in a game then finding a shiny. The sheer rarity makes it more rushing, like a voice in your head saying "remember, this is a 1/1365 chance, don't screw it up" Unfortunately- other than that- not much in this game satisfies me. I don't play online that much because everyone can and will whoop my ass. Battle mansion is OK, but it gets repetitive after a while.
That was my personal list I don't expect you to have read it all.
Have you ever heard of Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer? They're pretty interesting, as the battle system is different from most turn based RPGs. Though, most of the time when someone sees me playing these games they have never heard of it.
Did you ever beat Echoes? I can totally get not being into it because of the old game play but they voice acting and the characters were just so satisfying, to me it was amazing hearing the characters interact with each other just made me feel good, and the writing was a step up from Fates too which made me get into it a lot easier. I was just curious to hear more from you about it, even if the game play felt like a stepback for you
to be completely honest i love the 1st animal crossing the most. the music, the nes side games, the interactions on the train, gameboy connectivity, also funnier bug/fish catch puns and jokes
you should play the older mystery dungeon games, like explorers of sky and darkness!!! i love them and they have such a lovely heart felt story, its awesome!
Always great to see Fire Emblem get recognition, I personally looove Echoes, it takes everything I think is good about the series and makes it better. Besides map designs. They were outdated.
In terms of mystery dungeon, the one that seems to be the most popular is Explorers of Sky on DS. The story is very solid, great music as always, and the gameplay is very snappy. I feel like SMD is a bit slower in terms of gameplay, but that may just be due to me getting used to how the first 2 play. It's a very good game, and you'll probably enjoy it since you enjoyed SMD, but you'll need to go in with the idea that certain mechanics will not exist.
Hey, I was wondering if you've ever played a Rune Factory series game? The 4th one you can buy physically in America (eShop only in EU). But BOY, are they great games. I recommend the 4th, since you don't need to know the previous games stories. Also, no DLC (!) and it's a game that can easily last up to 300 hours.
Fun Fact; Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney is canon... but only for the Layton Series
Man, I love Animal Crossing New Leaf, but I lost my copy years ago... Colton was my best friend *sheds tear*
What I found funny is that the first game you named off I was playing while watching your video XD
I barely watched the video. I put the video in the background while is was drinking coffee and checking some shit on reddit. It was pretty relaxing just hearing your voice expressing your opinions (The ones that catched my attention) with the sooth music in the back.
Pokemon ORAS is the best for me. It had a fun Delta Episode and I had so much fun catching ALL the Legendaries post-game.
