Girl i'm portuguese and there's no such thing as a portuguese aesthetic, literally no one wears that here haha if you notice it is always the same 3 to 5 bloggers wearing that style, absolutely not a representation of Portugal! Portuguese aesthetic would be white air forces, skinny jeans and a crop top hahaha

Thanks for the comment. It probably is slightly wrong to label as it as a ‘Portugueses girl’ aesthetic upon reflection. Makes sense that it doesn’t represent how people actually dress I Portugal. It really is more of a instagram trend x

I found it funny because a few months ago a couple portuguese influencers used that term and dozens of other ones were mad because the style they were associating with "portuguese girl" was just pattern mixing and embroidery, I guess they were just trying to coin a new term for a trend! And everyone else in the fashion world here got pissed off haha
