As an electrician i have a hard time understanding how the stator is providing enough power to supply all the amp draw for the sound systems that go one these bike. but Tall your road glide is mint!
He more then likely beefed up his stator.
Music is dynamic, you are draining the battery during the highest DB portions of a song, and recovering during the rest. If you were to play pink noise (full spectrum test tone) at full power you would run your battery dead for sure, but having 1600 watts worth of amplifier doesn't mean you are drawing 1600 watts constant.
Without getting into a long conversation which is surely going to piss someone off the answer is "They are not getting enough power". I have been doing SPL audio competitions since the 1980s. Simple math tells you that you cannot power these amplifiers to the full potential With a motorcycle charging system and a battery upgrade. I did a video where I amp dyno a Sound digital 800.4 on a SG. Using the bike's charging system the amplifier could only put out 610 Watts. With the battery hooked up to the charger it managed 672 Watts.
Mine is running 3000 watts and a lithium ion battery. 2 years and countless hours and 0 problems. 10s in bags. It will play for 2 hours and still start up and drive away.

I can hear vibration Tall. Tighten up the bags some more and if that doesn’t do it, replace the rubber seal with a thicker seal. You’ll thank me later.
The locks vibrate when unlocked, they were not locked while we videoed
Dynamat and stuffing the top of the bag with foam might be the only solution. When I built competition audio we used to put a piece of foam behind the license plate too. Dynamat on the metal & foam glued on top of it.

Sounds good Tall! On my 2012 RG I'm running (4) 6x9's in my lids and (2) 8" mid-bass in my bags. I have (2) Kicker subs on standby that i will swap for the mid-bass in the off season.

Have you had any problems with the drop in sub yet? I hear the fuses pop easily and you cant turn the sub level up any.
