Hi, I'm John McCall, vice president of Wilcox Energy.
Hi, I'm David Foster, president of Wilcox Energy. We're going to talk today a little bit of why we got into the biofuel industry. And now we call our product bio heat.
Yeah. So when we got into, you know, this liquid, renewable, reusable fuel, you know, we weren't selling our grandfather's heating oil anymore. We were actually helping all of our consumers reduce their carbon footprint. You know, they're been told for an early age that, you know, we've been doing bad things to our planet. And we got to fix that. And we're doing that for our customers, whether they know it or not. You know, they're able to burn this low carbon, liquid, renewable, reusable fuel without doing anything. You know, we're blending now at a higher blend, up to 20% by 2035, maybe even 50%, you know, trying to help everybody do their part, you know, as stewards of the environment.
Yeah. And John, like you said, it's at no cost. There's no infrastructure change, no cost to our customers. It's just a splash in blended right in product that we can add to our existing low sulfur heating oil. This also makes the heating equipment more efficient and it burns cleaner. The state of Connecticut has, put out greenhouse gas emission goals that they would like to achieve, and one of the quickest and most inexpensive ways to get there is not other sources of energy like heat pumps. It's our bio heat, because that reduces their greenhouse gas emissions to the goals that they want to achieve. But not only 2030, but we have splash blending that we're going to try to get to by 2040 at 50% and then by 2050, 100%. And this helps the state of Connecticut reach their greenhouse gas emissions goals without any cost to the consumer. No change to the infrastructure. And our customers win because their heating systems are burning cleaner, more efficient.
It's a it's a really cool product too. I mean, we're buying B100 biodiesel and we have to maintain it in our heated tank. And that's maintained at 85 degrees all year and injected with a computer blend in line going into our oil truck. So you've got a uniformly blended heating fuel that's distributed, you know, so that the tanks maintained at 85 degrees. All the insulated oil lines are maintained at 85 degrees. So we ensure that you get a uniform product that's going to burn clean in your system.
Yeah. In that computer system, John, we can blend that whatever we want. Five, ten, 20, 50% blend. So as we our systems get used to what we're doing now, we'll start blending more and more of our product for our customers.
The state of Connecticut has mandated 5% blend. We're way ahead of that curve. Before they had their mandate, we were selling a B20. And, you know, we're trying to stay out in front of all this, be green.
What are we burning now, John?
    Let's close to 25 for 25%.
Right? And that's no adjustments to your heating systems. It's just a drop in solution for our customers as we're trying to be leaders in our industry. By going with our higher blends, this is going to continue into the future. Something we've invested a lot of money into our plant back here. And we're ready to go with it right on from 2030 to the 2040 to 2050. This is not something that's going to go away. Biology is going to be here for a long time, and we plan to be a part of that.
