For the 4.0 version there is a bug where if you go into the INPUT SETTINGS from the unit while connected via USB to the computer with the BOSS Tone Studio, then the app opens the TUNER instead of the INPUT SETTINGS. The unit will still open the INPUT SETTINGS but the app will remain on the TUNEr until you close it from the app itself.
I've gone through the steps 4 times each time I hit "write" it says no files found. I'm stuck. Since I updated the version first now when I try to connect to the program on my computer it will not let me anymore until I update the version on the core. It is useless at this point. If anyone can help....please help. (I am updating this comment...it is 2/22/22 and i had to do a factory reset and delete the software on my computer to get everything to work. After the factory reset i was able to get the file to showup and update the firmware. Afterward i reinstalled the software on the computer. Now everything is working.) (Here is another update >> it is 3/4/22. I have been to 3 rehearsals and the tones in the Boss GT1000CORE are amazing! )
I updated Tone Studio v4 but it's not compatible with my GT1000. Can't transfer files as no space in my GT1000 How do I create space. Update mode failed after unplugging USB

Could you let me know what the issue could be in my case? After I update the firmware, when I start my GT-1000, I get the update message again. I have done the update process a couple of times, yet I keep getting the update firmware message. Please help.

What software did you delete from the computer? The drivers and/or BossTone? I'm having same issue.

Have you unzipped the downloaded file.? It is compressed so won't work unless you do. Right click the yellow folder and select
'extract all"

You should start with the "back up recommended before update"... 😓
"Update files do not exist. Turn off the GT-1000CORE." Keep getting this over and over despite following the instructions step by step.
It successfully connected to pc but didn't show on my laptop 😕 actually the first time it's acting this way
USB connected.
Copy all the files into the GT-1000 then disconnect the USB cable but it ain't showing on my laptop

Sounds like you are failing. Try a factory reset?
