I have been using ME80 for a while now and i just bought this pedal .Presets sounds amazing though but programing is very complicated.I prefer pedal mode so i can use these butons as different effect.
Whats the easiest way to build in a solo boost to presets? I am always surprised these products don't have a dedicated button to add like a 6bd output boost, its like the most essential thing I need. I don't need all these assignment options, just a volume boost to easily assign to all presets on 1 controller button.
I get output from Boss GT-1000 with a "stereo jack" into Tascam Mixcast 4 mixer/sound card which has stereo input sockets ofcourse I have annoying latency which sounds like extra delays and reverbs added into the effect (I have no problem with the "line L-mono" output) GT-1000 output device selected to recording or line/phones, doesn't help Sampling rate of the mixer (sound card) was 256, I increased it to 512 then 1024 then 2048 and it didn't help Any ideas?
Can anyone explain why certain options will not activate on the phone app? For example- on the delay setting- I can’t switch it from milliseconds to BPM. It shows BPM, but it is “dimmed” and will not turn on?
With pedal board mode ,how do you assign external expression pedal and switches, I can do this easily in normal patch mode but can't seem to get them working in pedal board mode , if this is possible, could you please tell me how ? thanks in advance...
This unit is so complicated that someone should be teaching a class on it. If anyone knows of any such course I would appreciate some information on it. I know there are people out there who have mastered it’s use and selling preprogrammed patches. But that kind of defeats the purpose of this thing. So how about it? Is it already out there? Please let me know.
Hello I try to have ten patches with the ten switches ( like with a Roland Fc200), I'll put ctrl 4,5 for bank up and down, ctrl 6,7 for tuner and ctrl1.......Is it possible ? I tried but don't find the way....THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER
I just got one of these, and there is a HUGE volume drop between some patches. With the volume at 12 noon, many patches sound normal, but some, such as 02-1 3D Jazz Chorus, or 04-1 Diamond/Crunch, or 01-5 Multiband Crunch, sound almost inaudible. Can anyone verify this?
When this unit was built by Computer geeks who rarely have human interaction and zero people skills. Great sounding unit but suboptimal because of it's difficulty to use and navigate.
hey what's up man, I have a question; can I use the switches CLT1 CLT 2 CLT 3 like other patch in memory mode? , my question is because, I would like to have 8 presets by bank in memory mode and I don't know if in menu control function, allow to use the switches clt 1 clt 2 clt 3 like a patch like the question I di. very good video and thanks for to do videos like this, it's helping us very much
Why do you make it so hard for potential customers to contact you for pre-sales questions? Back in the day you had a phone number and email address on your website. Now you make a customer register for an account but you never send an activation link. this is delayed me from getting answers to my questions for several days now. If this is an indicator of what support will be like for boss in the future, I will buy another name brand.
crap, you didn't tell us how to save in pedalboard mode, nor did you show how to assign vol pedal 1 to use pedal down to rear = tuner...are you guys slipping up, because the owners manual doesn't mention it at all!
(I use the factory basic switch names) PEDALBOARD mode: 1-2-3-4-5 and BANK UP BANK DOWN CTRL1 CTRL2 TUNER switches ALL works as an independent pedal (like no multieffect, imagine your real pedals in front of you one by one for each switch). You can one by one ON or OFF ONE switch(effect), no BANK. The opposite is MEMORY mode: 1-2-3-4-5 is a fully patch (preset) IN ALL BANK (so 5 patch in ONE BANK), you can assign for CTRL1 and CTRL2 switch more object=effect ON or OFF etc... example, CTRL1 switch on distortion from off, and switch on delay from off position. You can say it true for this patch only or all patch (global). The MANUAL mode is between MEMORY and MANUAL mode. The main difference is that, all switch become an assignable switch, so you can operate with the 16 possible assign more way, more switch. GT-1000 parameter guide say it well page 29. Overall, use PEDALBOARD MODE, if you wanna play as the real pedals in front of you and switch one by one. Use MEMORY mode, if you wanna change a lot of things with one switch, so it mean a NEW patch. Use MANUAL mode, if you wanna use patches with some variations (blocks, 2-3 effect on off, more switch then ctrl1 and ctrl2).
@@adamvaradi6133 The PEDALBOARD mode is unnecessary, since you can go to the menu and configure each button with the PATCHES, that is, a mode that is left over, they should place the SNAPSHOT or SCENES MODE. Manual mode is the same, as you use assignments only for the numbered buttons. That is the difference. My recommendation is to give yourself some time, configure each Patch and have both worlds. (But without SCENES, I repeat)
@@Apopheniomind I just gave answer for the beginner question to help. Pedalboard mode unnecessary for me or you. But maybe there are 1 people from 1000 , to use this way, if want. Everybody use the gt1000 like want with advantages and disadvantages.
I LOVE the Boss ME-80 for how easy it is to use. I like changing things on the fly at gigs and it's just great for that. I just want to up the sound quality and get something more modern. Ideally Boss would release a Boss ME-90 with more inputs, updated 32 bit 97khz effects, AIRD amps, and some more reverb control. But in the meantime I'm considering these other units. This process seems so complicated that I'm not sure that I could adjust my tone on the fly in the middle of a song like i might with the ME-80. There are too many options for things that don't need options and too many steps to change simple things. I love the processing power. But I might get the Helix LT for the same price just because it is so simple to use.
BUT don't have SCENES !!! no way ... A song have parts ... with different parts and effects on and off, but the GT-1000 can't switch so many effect switches. The manual mode only allows you to create a PedalBoard, which you already know, you must be an octopus or a spider to make 4 or 5 changes in an instant. On the other hand, the assignments do not support, that you must leave one effect on and another switch it, because if you change a third or fourth time, then everything will go to hell! A> B, B> C, C> A ... ERROR!
Why are we blowing over basic shyt and giving people a headache? What is you have 1-5 assigned for diff tones ….and you want the 3rd button on top row (cntrl) to be a boost , 2nd to be a delay ….that’s what we need to know. Start simple 🙏
This video is effing useless. I've been using GT 100 for years. Just got the GT 1000 and it will be sent back because it is not user friendly or intuitive. Sucks for real time playing. BTW the tone of GT 100 is just as good if not better.
So you can toggle between memory mode and pedalboard mode by holding Ctrl 3?

Hola. Se puede apagar la simulación de cabina para las salidas Jack y mantener activas para las salidas xlr?
Could you guys do a video on routing midi information on the GT-1000 please?
What does “toggle” and “moment” mean in the source section of the assignment screen?

I had the same problem. I went into the patch and lowered both amps volumes. I don't know if that's the best way but it works.
When you change assignments, will it control your things the same way trough every patch or just in the patch where you made it?
Just the patch that you edited... ;)
