@@amerstain well the meta has changed a lot and many new players are fighting the top spot if you compare it to a couple years ago when Leo was dominating maybe it's just leo not fully adopting to the current way the game is played but he's been practicing a lot lately so I'm really looking forward to his results in the next months
MKLeo is playing at his best, he’s just not winning as much anymore because others are better. Not in his prime would be if he were to play against his past self and loose.
Love how much DK has been improving in the meta got into many arguments with people about DKs viability I wanna thank Chunky for taking the time to maximize this characters potential discovering an oos option for DK is huge. That alone had boosted DK.
A lot of these high level matches make me feel either juggling is dead, or players are too afraid to even try it at high level. I'm seeing most of these players get away with aerials and aggressive landings, and players with disjoint characters (i.e MKLeo and Shadic) just let them off for free, and don't even try doing frametraps. And this should be especially true for someone as big as DK, or characters with a horrible disadvantage, like Kazuya.
Top level players are just good and they know how to counter everything. It's a chess match with them. That's it they're just good so their gameplay is going to look far different on what they're trying to punish.
@@lokks2130 I did add him because he played an entire set against Riddles letting him off for free, and it wasn't until the invitational afterwards (the one EE hosted) that he was actually starting to do it and destroy him for it. People respect them too much, even when they have the clear advantage.
The DK that beat Sparg0 offline was Rarikkusu from Japan at Delta #8, but I don't know if Chunky has beaten Sparg0 online. The notorious and recent one was, however, Rarikkusu, and he also 3-stocked Leo's byleth (Leo did win the set with Joker though).
I don’t see any issue here. Chunky is an extremely talented player who is also using DK on WiFi. Not like it’s embarrassing for Leo to be losing games. He won a lot with Joker. And Leo didn’t want to play Byleth in the first place. He said he was done with Byleth and only did it because Chunky requested it.

His Byleth has fallen off but that’s okay bc he’s been grinding Joker / Aegis on stream a lot recently and those 2 have gotten sm better. He’s also been going to weeklies. He said himself that he’s been grinding a lot and feels like he’s gotten much better

It’s because the risk and reward against Steve, Kazuya, and DK is super high.
Leo's advantage state could be better, but lumping Shadic in there and accusing him of "not trying frametraps" is funny as shit.

Chunky has also greatly improved as a player. He got top 8 at Momocon I think, but top 8 at a major for sure
