24:06 Girl it's okay to keep going crazy sometimes over a certain member when it comes to his look like I always go crazy over San's handsomeness and duality lol and same for you if you want to talk about a certain member look or talent just do it and don't hold it 😭
I feel you girl, idk why pink hair is so attractive on the guys, just look at San in Fireworks, Yunho in Inception, and Seonghwa here ajhfkskf. I die. Anyway, the little break dance they have at the end is always different, usually done by two members like here in the MV is Mingi and Wooyoung doing it, for Kingdom it's San and Jongho! But there are times that 3 persons do it or just one and the others run in a big circle around the member in the middle. So yeah, that part is always different!
That's awesome! That's such a fun part of it too, just to jam out at the end lol I'll have to look out for that when I get to that performance on Kingdom
I would recommend checking out a live version anyway, other than the Kingdom performance since Mingi wasn't there :( I recommend the Gayo Daejeon/SBS performance, they all looked incredible and they made a really cool intro for it! P.S: definitely check out San's fancam from it in your own time because WOW.....
ahhh ok I'll check them out!! I'm trying to save fancams for when it's the guys' individual birthdays but Sans is so far away from now ugh lol I might need to make an exception
Yayyyyyyy! The Realllllllll! Such an awesome song, especially the instrumentals. SUPER fun live stages as well. An absolute party. All the satoori specifically ended me when I first heard this on Kingdom oml. Btw, this is the song they did for their most recent MAMA stage (2021), so now you can officially watch all 3 without being spoiled~ - Everyone else pretty much mentioned the Kingdom thing, so I'm just gonna say ditto to everything they all said and leave it at that! 😅 - Like I mentioned above, all the satoori they used in this one absolutely made this song for me! I've always found the different Korean dialects super interesting! If you're interested this is where the members are from and where the dialects they use come from: Seonghwa - Sacheon/Jinju, Yunho - Gwangju, San - Namhae, Jongho - Nowon(Seoul), Wooyoung - Goyang - I've watched a LOT of anime in my days, and this MV always radiated huge anime vibes for me lmao. I heard they were going for like a Korean superpower high school comic/manhwa vibe, so it's not too far off. - We don't need to talk about the bread thing. 😂😂😂Someone genuinely explained that to me ages ago, but I've long forgotten wtf it was. And yeah, I'm pretty sure Yeosang was spouting some bullshit there about it lol. My first thought on my original run through was always that anime toast in the mouth trope, but I was corrected on countless occasions that it's not that 😂😂😂 - The flaming bat says something like "passion/passionate Choi San" btw. - Fun fact: the freestyle dance break near the end is actually done by different members every single performance! Makes for some wild/funny combinations and moves lmao - God, idols playing with/interacting with babies or young kids is my new favorite obsession recently like UGH. Makes me so soft. - 16:18 I wasn't entirely sure either, but since he said 'protein' I started assuming it was an egg. Even if it was brown. I have seen brown eggs before. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love this MV + song sm. Thanks for the reaction, as usual! 💙
Sooo excited to see the award show stages!! And yes I only really know busan dialect from Jimin lol other than that idk if I could tell the difference when hearing them and it does give off like comic book vibes lmao
@@blurrykpop And I'm excited to see your thoughts on them as well! Also yeah, I was the same originally. Couldn't even tell they had so many different regional dialects. I've watched waaaaaay too much Korean TV and variety though, and it's the only reason I can detect the difference now. Lol.
Another AWESOME reaction! Yeosang's character represents "peace" (think of a dove) or the "peacemaker" of the rival school groups who are all trying to persuade Mingi - that's why as a symbol of peace he's surrounded by fellow birds on the rooftop (and why he has the slice of bread in his mouth - you know, like when people feed birds bread). 😁 This MV is VERY MUCH based on the film VOLCANO HIGH, which is a 2001 South Korean martial arts action (dark) comedy film. When I found this out, I became so curious and obsessed, that I ordered a DVD of the film (VERY hard to find though). I was warned that it's a VERY dark comedy and that the film is VERY weird. I found both to be true, but in a strangely cool and fascinating way - if that makes sense. So, ATEEZ's version is like a more light, funny & positive version of the film with ATEEZ sending a message that being truly "cool" or "real" means being "humble and kind", but ATEEZ still very much keeps to the essence of VOLCANO HIGH. Here are a couple of trailers of Volcano High on UA-cam. Once again, It's a LOT darker in nature than The Real MV, but when you watch the film there are so many scenes and visuals where it becomes SUPER obvious that The Real is strongly based on the film, just a lot lighter and with a much more positive message and delivery: 😉 ua-cam.com/video/V5W351aUYJM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/yj5DFiJ6vfY/v-deo.html - finding all this out and then watching Volcano High made The Real MV all the more fascinating! Oh! As a side note: An American version of the Volcano High film was released as a Kung Faux parody in late 2003 by MTV and featured "voice only acting" by hip hop artists. (Such as Snoop Dog, Method Man, Lil John, Andre 3000. Also, comedian Tracy Morgan and actor Pat Morita - Mr. Miyagi from the original The Karate Kid film). From all the reviews, people say that the American version is sooooooooo awful and weird, that it's become like a cult classic. I believe I read that they used the original film and had the hip hop artists do voice overs with a comedic "hip hop" style interpretation of all the dialog. lol
wow thanks for the info! Interesting that they took something dark and made it so light and almost funny like this MV. So I was kinda right by calling Yeosand 'the bird man' hahaha did they say this info somewhere? Since I didn't see them mention it in the making of the MV
@@blurrykpop Yeosang as Birdman is so right! haha! When The Real first came out, I noticed soooooo many people commenting on UA-cam and other social media that The Real looked exactly like scenes from Volcano High, including a bunch of UA-cam reactors. One very well known Kpop Reactor/Music Video Producer, who is Korean American (his UA-cam account is Form of Therapy) is VERY knowledgeable on all things Kpop, all things Korean pop-culture and Korean culture, in general. And so, once I heard him confirm that The Real concept was taken from Volcano High - that's when I became obsessed with wanting to check it out myself and so I ordered a DVD of the film. Once I watched it, I can now confirm that there are a number of scenes that The Real looks nearly identical and the basic premise of the film and The Real MV are the same. (e.g. in the movie, a new student arrives at Volcano High and is approached by various school gangs/factions, just like in The Real). I'm not sure how involved ATEEZ members are in coming up with the exact concept for each of their music videos - so maybe they didn't realize this either. OR maybe KQ and the whole team wanted people to cleverly figure that part out for themselves. But if you ever get a chance to see Volcano High, you'll definitely be convinced, as well, that The Real is based off of that film. I love it! 😁❤
@@blurrykpop Hey, I just wanted to share something else I just found out (I just watched another reactor reacting to The Real): So I guess that in addition to Yeosang having bread in his mouth because he represents a dove/peace (therefore he's a "bird"), there were a bunch of comments explaining that the bread also represents a very famous anime trope: Apparently in anime, it's common that when a character is running late (usually to school), he/she grabs a piece of bread on their way out and it hangs from their mouth as they're running. Ha Ha . I don't watch a whole lot of anime, so I thought this was interesting.😁
Seonghwa and his heavy panting he likes to do often especially In the log books haha 😂 his pink hair is my fav when comes to the colours on seonghwa ❤
