We wish! Any penny we've ever made has gone into this studio and in order to be able to afford to live in this house there are 7 of us living here paying rent. If anyones daddy feels like paying for the rent, we'd be happy to accept it though :)
Much respect! THese guys know what they are talking about unlike majority "producers" on this, I go to school for engineering and its nice to see modestep talk with proper knowledge!
i cant believe this doesnt have more views. better for us i guess, cause youguys are just... ohmygoodness. you're INCREDIBLE. best in dubstep as far as i'm concerned.
i was thinking the same thing honestly, i wonder if they just really dont ... no there's no good reason i can think of not to ahve it lol idk lol they're the ones producing some of the best stuff hahahahahahah
awesome insights into the artist, thanks sb.tv, thank you Modestep, you're just incredible. it's too much you're just , tears to my eyes on most of your tracks
"When we got our track mastered by a proffesional it didn't sound as good as when we mastered it ourselves." 2 minutes later... "We recommend paying a proffesional to master your tracks for you". Wut?
Dark side is the best album and Focals are most def the best monitos and respect on the SSL gear amazing setup. I got to use a 24 preamp, 48ch SSL Duality SE for 2 years with Sota's and Focals fuck so good.
I think the problem with their music is, it doesnt actually have any love behind it, no desire to imitate their idols and put their own spin on things. It all just comes out really soulless and regimented. its paint by numbers music. I hope they manage to develop this creative spark in the future. Best of luck guys!
This is so much more expensive than Flux Pavilion's setup. It just shows you how great of a sound you can make if you have the right talent. Granted that Modestep use more real instruments, but regardless; Flux is just better.
@XVonGrimmX I love the fact that you commented twice, and then came back days later to comment again. You carry spending your time hating while they carry on building up their game :)
sometimes i think there mixdowns are not as good, theres some songs that iv listened to and thought Jeeeeze thats too high but guess everyones ears are different
I dunno what I'd call it, its just not dubstep tbh. But then again, I suppose music is all about your own perception, so I should say, "its not MY idea of dubstep?"

"Big up to Matt and Tony for not being here"
Lmao GG
I've been out of the *step genres for some time, but I can always enjoy some innovation from Modestep. Definitely gonna have to check this out.
modestep are soo rad!
with all that expensive equipment you'd think they would invest in some acoustic padding.
i thought you were going to say "with all that expensive equipment you'd think they would make some good music"
i was thinking the same thing honestly, i wonder if they just really dont ... no there's no good reason i can think of not to ahve it lol idk lol
they're the ones producing some of the best stuff hahahahahahah
I still don't understand how so many people are saying their music sucks...I've listened to a couple of their songs, and they're really fucking good!
FUCKING AWESOME BAND!!!!
Seen modestep last year at red bull freeze, it was NUTS
"Pink Floyd - Dark side of the moon, best album". If my respect for you guys wasn't high enough already, that's just made my day.
That room has too much echo in my opinion
awesome insights into the artist, thanks sb.tv, thank you Modestep, you're just incredible. it's too much you're just , tears to my eyes on most of your tracks
we need an updated one for their current studio...
This is great, propper puts into perspective the production process for any beginners!

The Sunlight Burns my eyes
whats the song at 9:55 ? It sounds awesome
Fairs mate, really feeling your selection of MCs for the new track.
Yes, but no iTunes pre-order etc. an album would at least have a 2 month build up period before release and another single before it goes on sale!
The could start up a music shop xD
Mixing and mastering are two different things. The mixing didn't sound as good, not the mastering
This is Sick!
JOSH! #ShowMeASign :')
keep up the studio work guys!
Fully jealous of the studio!
"When we got our track mastered by a proffesional it didn't sound as good as when we mastered it ourselves."
2 minutes later...
"We recommend paying a proffesional to master your tracks for you".
Wut?
Epic producers
evolution theory gonna be SICK
I was thinking the same thing lol so much money in that room.. and like 2 acoustic panels
Well said.
What's the tune in the background at the beginning??

What are the white cone speakers called? He said it too fast :D
Hope they play this at Reading fest!
Dark side is the best album and Focals are most def the best monitos and respect on the SSL gear amazing setup. I got to use a 24 preamp, 48ch SSL Duality SE for 2 years with Sota's and Focals fuck so good.
Does anyone know where his black top is from?
I think that, I'm music producer too, and I'm making a song for a week for example .. but cutted video to see how they do it.
good video!!
Josh are you still wearing your Rock A Field wristband? I was there and it was sick!
Modestep fucking rocks
"Now the last drop.. No wait, not the last drop, there's one more drop sorry"
Mate, no need to apologise; give us as many as you got!
That may not be the live room that they record in, but yeh you're right. Even a couple diffusers wouldnt do any harm haha.
amen.
Ohhh there better be instrumental versions of all of them...
how many times does he say "kind of" hahaa
last drop :)
So when will they release Evolution Theory?
I live 2 roads away xD

Modestep - Evoloution Theory

Could you see the beer
Id inly listen to them if i wanted a headache
15 hours? You thinks songs like that just fall out the sky in a few hours?

sometimes i think there mixdowns are not as good, theres some songs that iv listened to and thought Jeeeeze thats too high but guess everyones ears are different
i heard KANO!!!
i didnt know what mastering meant :D
Snoop Lion Uses It ***
I'd love too se .. (it'd could have 15hours) how they makes these song .. from nothing to master
it doesn't matter 'what equipment u have its how u use it' not faulting any of there stuff though
Has a fucking expensive equipment , doesn't has a mouse pad...
lol and it's all sitting on $49 Ikea desk
+ZYRO lol
They spend the whole time speaking they should show there talent by making a beat everyone knows instruments and stuff
they dont have a mastering set up by any means tho. Mastering is very different
Not Dubstep?! What are they then?
They use all that expensive professional equipment and still send music to other guys for mastering ;S
kind of, kind of, kind of
studio and house must have cost daddy a lot of money..
Haha i know dude i just wanted to see what bullshit he spurted out lol. I have a video of me seeing them live in Leeds on my channel.
Electro Rock? idk
I dunno what I'd call it, its just not dubstep tbh. But then again, I suppose music is all about your own perception, so I should say, "its not MY idea of dubstep?"
....kind of.
I like modestep, there different. But for fucks sake, it's not Dubstep, so stop saying you make Dubstep!
m8 do u even compress?
SBTV begging money with 30 second ads on every video...
lol yeah. doesnt mean they paid for it though :P
Album 'August 27th'?... Well, it's clearly been pushed back then... FFS!
