I flipped the stem on mine so it was angled up.and adjusted the bars. Made the difference from horrible fit to enjoyable bike for me. Usually box store bikes aren’t assembled correctly. Mine was surprisingly dialed in for brakes and shifting. In approximately 200 miles I’ve done one brake adjustment that I attribute to how I load it in my Corolla, and fixed one flat. Definitely pleased with my purchase.
im not sure if this is how it is everywhere but i used to work at Walmart and around a year and a half ago they started hiring people from bike stores to come in and assemble all the bikes they got in
Almost 50 miles. Had to finally tighten the front QR after i dropped the bike, rear brake adjustment, front derailleur adjustment and everything else is not bad. Ill have to do something with the headset/fork alignment and Im afraid of the wheels.
@@davidtinnerello1524 yeah we might change the group set. And cranks. Other is hydraulic brakes not a bad bike for the price. It gets people into the sport at a good price. Stay away from the hyper gravel. It has bolt on rims. And it’s 498. I think the price were swapped.
@@Wannaridebikes I was thinking about going 1x on it with higher gear on the front. And climbing gears on the back. I have no idea where I'd start so I hope you do a video with some dimensions we'd need to do something like that. I almost want it to be a sort of adventure/commute hybrid, and the hills here might be steep but they're short and I can put down power. I'm actually afraid to bend the crankset on this, as well. Hope the upgrades come easy!

Wal-Mart bike = reassemble it all youyrself.
If u dont pull it all apart and grease all the bearings it will eat itself.
@@stewart4711 I did all that. Once I filmed the video. I pulled off wheels BB and headset on both
