- In this video I show you the process of a full restoration of a 1969 Pontiac firebird over a period of 3 years in 10 short minutes. This car, as you can see was in bad shape. We had a whole pallet of @autometaldirect parts to build this car from top to bottom. I only use AMD for all my sheet metal. This is the third full restoration that I've done using AMD. This build was not sponsored by @autometaldirect , but the quality of these parts are awesome!!!!! We rebuilt the 350 Pontiac engine, turbo 350 transmission and rear end. This is a total new car from top to bottom! If you like this kind of content make sure you like, subscribe and click the notification bell so you can keep up with my builds. Good choice on sheet metal, it’s hard to beat AMD. The Palladium silver really pops. Nice job!
Thank you, yeah I like that amd stuff!! That silver is a cool color!!!!!

My dad recently passed and his old 69 bird had been in the barn for 20 years. I’ve been thinking about restoring it! Awesome video!
Sorry about your dad, I be praying for you! Yeah jump on that bird and get it driving and do some smokey burn outs!!!!! Thanks for watching!!!!!
Man, that thing is about as beautiful underneath as it is up top!!
I rode in a '69 Bird in about 1978 as a kid. It was burnt orange with a black vinyl top and a tan/brownish buckets/console interior, 350 and automatic, Ralley II wheels and no hood scoops. It didn't say H.O. on the sides, but it scooted pretty good. Only changes I'd make would be a set of black "PMD" center caps, and a set of the 'root beer mug' lug nuts. That silver is awesome! Love them batwing Chevys too!
Thank you!!! This car didn't come with the ram air style hood but they didn't make one with out the. The original hiod was trash!!! Glad I got to stir up some good memories for ya, thanks for watching!!!!!!
I hope this FIRE PIGEON is for YOU after all that work and CONGRATULATIONS for using the CORRECT engine COLOR as the pretty BLUE like on my '65 BLACK of BLACK GTO stopped with the 66 Pontiacs but so many people are color blind and YOU my friend are a TRUE ARTIST and THANKS!!!
Thank you very much, i wish it was mine but I had fun working on it!! I love me a GTO!!!

Great build. Did you re-chrome the bumpers or go with new? Beautiful car.
Thank you, there all new bumpers, the original ones were missing.
Very nice work and finished 'bird. Have you been able to find the correct radio and knobs?
Thank you!!!! My buddy just ordered one of those new blue tooth radios that look like the old ones, that what the customer wanted.
@@ACDesignsGarage Ah, very nice. Those radios are like hen's teeth!
Stunning! That is a beautiful car. When did you finish this build and what happened to the car?
We just finished it up, i think the customer was gonna pick it up last week
Can I ask you what aftermarket company did you use for your sheet metal?
Auto metal direct, the best ive found!!
Time , and labor ! What did it cost ? Start , too finish ! As the finished product sits right here , and now ? LL KOOL RAY 😎
As for time it took about 2.5 years as for the money not sure my partner handles the money I just build csrs lol
Was the trunk emblem missed being restored?
There wasn't one when we received the car to restore, the customer said he wanted it back exactly like it was lol, thanks for the support!!!!
DassDope!
Thank you!!!!
Nice.. loose the music
Where the heater box
Were running a vintage air unit that hides it under dash for a cleaner look
Grate cars pretty quick in the quarter mile but the top.end was disappointing 128.mph No to.good for a 400.h.O
Thanks for sharing, This was the first Pontiac we've restored, the engine was beefy built compared to a sbc
Awesome job beautiful car, now how much would you charge to restore my 68 firebird???
Were down to our last three restorations, its time to build my junk lol, thanks for asking!!!!
