A much more interesting game in my opinion would have been one where you play as young Saitama. You get to fight monsters as Saitama, learn new fancy moves which by the end of the game become obsolete as your character gets so strong you don't need any of them anymore. You could watch as the hero association gets founded, and meet the current s-rank heroes before they earned their fame. Of course there would also be new characters that never make an appearance in the anime. Maybe the tailor guy from the road to hero ova could act as an item shop, where you get to design and buy new hero costumes that ultimately get replaced with the classic Saitama suit. That way you could play the game the way you want while still having it be in line with the anime. Maybe sometimes you could have some fan service scenes where you get a flash back into the future and get to defeat enemies in one punch as in the anime. Maybe there could be a joke where you punch an enemy once and it dies, only to find out that some s-class hero punched it at the same time as you did without you noticing.

Thanks for this review. Oh god thanks for this review. I couldn't find any information on the combat styles before hand. I mean the game looked bad before but now I'm certain it's not worth my time.
A One Punch Man game could be such a unique, and funny take on games. Being more of an action adventure/hack and slash game. Where the normal difficulty/hard difficulty lets you play as Genos. Insane difficulty has you play as Mumen Rider. And Easy difficulty lets you play as Saitama.
I bought this game knowing all its flaws, though I am really enjoying it. Here’s the pros and cons from my experience: Cons: Graphics you have to get used to, can be repetitive, characters can not load in. My main negative was with glitches (didn’t break the game just made me wait occasionally) and it can be slow. My positives: I don’t play arena games as I’m not an anime guy but I love one punch man, I know how it’s not perfect but I enjoyed the story due to how I always liked the idea of being your own character in the OPM universe, for someone unusual to these games I enjoyed it actually as much as I hated when I tried out DB games. This game isn’t amazing but I enjoyed it a lot as much as it has its faults, I wouldn’t advise the game due to how I feel lucky that I actually enjoy the game but it’s mainly due to enjoying having your own character. I’d give it around a 8 out of 10 due to my own personal enjoyment, apologies for rambling😂
Riruka22 - Dragonball Ultra I’m not advising the game to others and acting like it’s brilliant, it isn’t but I personally enjoyed it. If I wanted to be popular I’d just have to chat shit about the game to join the bandwagon but it isn’t as bad as people treat it. I mean I had money saved up for the game for a couple months so maybe I was just prepared so I don’t feel as much of a loss at spending £50
I'm pretty sure nobody is surprised at the outcome here. At least nobody who actually saw gameplay of it. It's a shame because the Kill la Kill game didn't get anywhere near enough attention but I feel it still holds up a lot better than most of these arena fighters, especially this and Jump Force. I don't really play arena fighters anymore, but the sake of the people who still love them I hope that the quality picks up soon. It would be nice to see a really polished and well made arena fighter show up at Evo. If Smash can do it, why not a good arena fighter?
@@dylanbunn7714 Why are you laughing. This game is shit anyway so this is a win, no xbox idiots that wanted to buy the game have to deal with the suffering.
Man I miss games like the tenkiachi series. Seeing 2 high skill players fight each other in that game is incredible I could only imagine what could be done with an anime areana fighter if they weren't worried about the casual audience skill level these days. Been playing through 3 after playing 2 and I forgot what good anime games could be until now. Even though alot of the characters control very similar they all still have their own feel and at least 1 unique special move. Not only that but the combat is much deeper than I remember. You got standard attacks, strong attacks, ki blast, many combos, hit some up or down knock them over before smashing them to the ground. With the fist fighting alone there is tons of depth then add in super moves and escape techniques, power ups and transformations, the amazing maps, lots of characters, and the best music and it's no wonder why these games are so highly regarded. Btw there are 90ish characters in tenkiachi 3 not 161 unless you count transformations as separate characters.
I still think Ninja Storm 4 is the best anime arena fighter. Looks nice, understands what makes the show special, and is fast paced and involved. I wanted to be excited for a One Punch Man game, but everything I ever saw before it's release looked very dull, slow, and without any genuine love for the show/manga.
Good thing we have Globku to cover the anime games for us, not many reviewers do anime games. Nice video, pretty argumentative and critical sense of him.
@@andreaguerri8256 I actually Pre-ordered and bought the game since I know my little sister would wanna play, To be honest this game was extremely fun from a non-competitive pov. It all depends on the person I suppose. I’mm not saying this game is perfect, but it’s a fun game to play at parties.
Imagine a game set in one punch man, Saitama, and it has a similar fashion to the Yakuza games with the random quests and bad guys popping up. That'd be fun. It'd have no challenge but it wouldn't need too, just Saitama being Saitama and some funny side quests
I wonder if they will try to fix the combat system by making animations faster and other stuff like that. Like how shinobi striker progressively got better
Sadly is possible, games lately are coming out broken and start getting patched slowly to a better product, sure it might not be the developers fault but still it shouldn't be happening
I often said that an ideal One-Punch Man would be something of an Action RPG where you make your own character and have them rise through the hero ranks. I heard about this game, heard that it was instead a fighting game, and I thought, "That's not what I had thought of, but that's neat." Now, after these reviews, it sounds like they tried to do both. Honestly, they should've just done one or the other.
Almost a year ago when I found out that this game was being developed by spikechun software the same company that made *Trash Force* I already know it was gonna be bad, so I was gonna hard pass on this game when it released, but the sad part is that people mostly (casual gamers) see an anime game of their favorite character and immediately buy it without paying attention to the developer. I agree. I like the idea of creating my own hero and rising through the hero ranks. It's such a shame that this game had to be another cash-grab.
I'm going to wait until it's like 20 bucks I'd rather by my Heroes one's justice 2 collector's edition
His custom character looks like The Joker. Its honestly really great and funny
They could have had Saitama killing opponents in the background as a timer. And if the timer runs out it counts as you losing as you would have failed managing even 1 enemy as a hero.
Saved me a $60 impulse purchase. Thank you!
BigBossZ Atleast one good anime game was made this year. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
When you only bought this game to meme as mumen rider
Even as a meme, you're still supporting it and saying "yes this is the standard to keep arena brawlers keep doing this."
Forgot this game even exsisted ^
I'll just wait for pirate warriors 4
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows
in reality...
One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Needs.
I like that 3 months after this game came out I forgot it came out.
lovely stuff
Yo! I really like your honesty! Right on my man. 👍🏾
Damn I love this series and was hoping that we would get a decent game. I can't justify buying this because it just means nothing will change, which sucks because I wanted to fight as some of my favorites.
Fighting game of the year nominee right here. Yes you are looking at a nominee for 2020 fighting game of the year.
Game awards are a joke, what did you expected
OPM is at the moment my favorite manga that I'm reading, but i won't let my love for the series scam my wallet from Spike Chunsoft.
What's sad is how Dragon Ball Ultimate Tenkaichi actually had your CAC talk during cutscenes and that game released over 8 or so years ago
Thanks for this review. Oh god thanks for this review. I couldn't find any information on the combat styles before hand. I mean the game looked bad before but now I'm certain it's not worth my time.
Actually the combat styles ca be pretty nifty. Especially the Psychic, Standard and maybe weapon types. You can do some extended combos with em.
Okay then, I'll just save my money for Pirate Warriors 4
....Do you want to tho?
@@dylanbunn7714 hell yeah, have you seen that game, I get to play Kaido, Katakuri, Snake man Luffy and more, I'm definitely buying it
Another trash game
I wonder what they consider "Playtesters", if they even had any.
I’d give it around a 8 out of 10 due to my own personal enjoyment, apologies for rambling😂
wish I had the mentality to enjoy more stuff like you, but yeesh, the game just looks like a trainwreck at every turn.
We need a traditional fighter with the same battle type system and a cac system, and it should be made by arcsys
Great review, along with explaining the details of the game.
THANK YOU FOR THIS HONEST REVIEW. Let's hope it doesn't fall on deaf ears
'Honest review' ...Not all that fucking honest more like a crying baby winning how all fighting games are shit expect arc games xD
So people who have fun playing games are deaf apparently.
6:52 for gameplay reveiw
Spike Chunsoft is the universal notice to dodge an anime game. Their RPGs and Visual Novels are actually liked.
Glad I watched this... Was looking forward to this game.... I'll wait for the next game .... Maybe
I bet nobody is going to make a better review than this one ,You explained everything about the game in a really good way. well done man👍👍
Damn I didn’t think these words would ever leave my mouth but: “This game makes Jump Force look like gold”
One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Will Remember
The fact that none of the cutscenes from the opening appears in the real game made me not buy it, it's just dishonest.
After watching your review, you convince me to not buy this game. Thank you for your review!!! I will use that money to buy granblue fantasy versus
Akemenides me too waste of time and money
HAHAHAHAHA IT'S NOT EVEN COMING TO GOD DAMN XBOX ONE SO YOU CAN'T EVEN BUY IT
Arc System Works snime games are a godsend. Wish My Hero got a game from them. I'd rather have that than One's Justice.
I agree with you about this game. Will you review one piece pirate warriors 4?
I hope that they start seriously working on games now that you’re giving hem honest review
I’ll buy it when it goes down atleast half
man im glad this popped up in my recommended, i was def going to pick it up but sure wont now lmaoooo
only arcsys should make FG's this game would have been an amazing 2D fighter instead we will never have an OPM FG and were stuck with this shit
Joker inspired CAC? 👍🏻
Great Review like always Globku!
I’ve been thinking of picking this up on sale after some time…anyone have thoughts? Is this worth $15-$20?
No lmao, the servers are going down soon anyways
I still think Ninja Storm 4 is the best anime arena fighter. Looks nice, understands what makes the show special, and is fast paced and involved. I wanted to be excited for a One Punch Man game, but everything I ever saw before it's release looked very dull, slow, and without any genuine love for the show/manga.
Thanks for your review, you just saved me money :)
Diogo Ferreira on god 😂
Wow I wasn’t expecting much as it is. Somehow it still managed to disappoint.
One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Bought
False , a lot of people eid and a lot more will
More like One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Likes.
True, but they will be sorely disappointed lol!
Good thing we have Globku to cover the anime games for us, not many reviewers do anime games. Nice video, pretty argumentative and critical sense of him.
thank god a honest review
Im so glad I watched reviews before buying this game! Im a big OPM fan and seeing how bad it is makes me feels so disappointed.
TBH this game looks fun as a single player experience. Maybe they should have had it as an adventure game.
No dude, the gameplay is hot trash, this is no fun in any way
@@andreaguerri8256 I actually Pre-ordered and bought the game since I know my little sister would wanna play, To be honest this game was extremely fun from a non-competitive pov.
0:30 that guy pirated the game cuz his name is Hoodlum
Saw it coming as soon as I saw the "knockdown animation"
An arena foghter being mediocre? Who could have forseen this!?
When I first saw this game...day one trailer or just day one screenshots or just the day one announcement I knew this game was going to flop
I'll buy it after the huge price drop that's bound to happen in no time
Bandai: It's too expencive to have voice acting for every voice option of the custom character
Saints Row: HELLO THERE!
This might be rhetorical response, but the Saints Row series, The cacs all were fully voice acted at least from 2 - 4
@@SuperCeasar777 but being able to have 2 to 4 CC VA voice an entire game and sometimes unique dialogue is a good feat not many games do
@@SuperCeasar777 that was the point of my coment, that many games claim that a cac fully voiced is impossible... And SR just did it...
I wonder if they will try to fix the combat system by making animations faster and other stuff like that. Like how shinobi striker progressively got better
Sadly is possible, games lately are coming out broken and start getting patched slowly to a better product, sure it might not be the developers fault but still it shouldn't be happening
Yeah in my opinion if you want a good 3D Anime Arena Fighter that has come out recently just play Kill La Kill IF. Love the video though :)
Wow people really be out here saying first, thanks for the vid man
I knew this game was gonna suck, now just gotta wait for that One's Justice 2 review
Dracowolf knows all
I often said that an ideal One-Punch Man would be something of an Action RPG where you make your own character and have them rise through the hero ranks.
If you're gonna spend money on a full price anime game skip over this and just get one's Justice 2
....Oh my god how fucking dumb did you get don't people hate the one justice games too?!
