Today I'm privileged to share with you the Finland I got to experience. I've witnessed the diversity and immense beauty of this land from the very north all the way to the southern parts, yet every time I set off I'm in awe. Finland never ceases to amaze me, and so, I’m truly honored and blessed to call this country my home.
This journey was more than a timelapse project. I could go on and on ecstatically about what I experienced during the 8500 kilometers on the road. As I carried the burden of impending schoolwork, I had to make the most out of my time, while fulfilling my dream. It meant that the three months spent with the project were momentous.
I’m thrilled to have experienced Finland's sublime nature on my travels, yet I'm also moved by being able to touch a great deal of people by doing what I love. I find their appraisal and kindness most humbling and rewarding.
I want to thank everyone from my family for playing their part in this project from the very first day I picked up this hobby till today. I’d also like to thank my relatives and friends, especially my cousin and colleague Niko Juntunen.

I love to wake up to school when the sky is really pink and purple, the snow is glowing and creaking under your feet, birds are singing and the sun is rising and gently warming your face. Lapland is really pretty, calms me down when I'm really stressed =(

Thank God for every moment, thank God for everything what he has given to you and what he will give to you in your future.
Maybe you miss your friends or family. Maybe you miss your tiny little pet, or your bed at home. Maybe you miss the Dutch food or maybe you miss your school.
But damn sis, this is the country you are living in at the moment. Finland. I hope that you are doing great because one day you will look back to this time and you will realise that you can not relive these moments. Enjoy every little piece of nature, work, friends, or whatever you are willing to do there. Go out there and do it! Just do it. Make it worth your time. Only memories stay in your mind. Take some pictures... Eat something you have never eaten before, stay up late sometime to check if the Northern Lights are shining, talk to someone you have never spoken to and REALISE. THESE. MOMENTS. WILL. NOT. LAST. FOREVER.

That was a lovely video - Might live over in Scotland now but Finland will always be in my heart, that's where I spent over 20years growing up and where my family and friends are, just a new chapter in life opened up. I return to Finland as often as I can

Who scored it if I may ask? Being a young composer myself I am so inspired everytime I hear it and see those beautiful pictures. Many timelapse movies have music that doesn't really fit to my taste. But in your video picture and music go soo well in harmony. It's just on a different level!! Really good!!!

+Matteography The film has gained in total 733 000 views to this day (Vimeo & YT combined) and to me it's a lot. I understand your statement, but personally I don't rank films through success. Even though this took me a lot of time I really can't express the feeling I get when I'm able to touch people by doing what I love. And comments like this means a lot to me.
What comes to Casey, to me he's truly a inspirational guy. The snowboard video gained insane numbers, but for a reason.
+Riku Karjalainen Yes you're totally right. You're video's are really amazing, and I understand that views don't mean a lot for you. Go on with making the video's you love to make, and don't do it for numbers like views or subscribers. I am sure you will eventually get the audience you deserve!
And about Casey, he really is an awesome guy, and the development of his creativity (which he definately used to make his snowboard video) probably took a lot of time. So no offends at all against Casey, he really is an inspiration!
