This is a knee jerk reaction in what was a poor performance by Aaron Rodgers last Sunday. Don’t underestimate him.

You’re talking about Sam Darnold throwing 6 TD passes on Sauce Gardener, DJ Reed and Michael Carter? I think Minnesota most likely wins this game but Darnold throwing 6 TD’s on arguably the best defending trio in the league is over hyping Darnold. If the Jets get the run game going, it opens up the pass game significantly and AR will be able to pick apart the Minnesota defense and keep this game close. Minnesota has allowed 274.3/Passing ypg while NYJ have allowed only 128/passing YPG. Minnesota will be forced to run the ball more than they want to. Not to mention, the most points Minnesota has scored in any game is 34. So this 6 passing TD theory of yours is wishful thinking. This game will be a lot closer than people might think. If the Jets can keep Rodgers protected, it may be a long night for Minnesota.

The Vikings allow almost 300 pass yards per game. Of the Jets can get the run game going even slightly, that will open up the pass game for Rodgers and he will pick their defense apart. This game will be closer than all these casuals think it will. Plus the most points the Vikings have put up this year is 34. I don’t see them putting up that many on the Jets.

Finally a fan who is realistic about things. All these casuals think Darnold will throw 6 TD passes against the 2nd best pass defense in the league. I’m not a fan of either team but I’m a fan of football and I try to be as realistic as possible. I’m happy that the Vikings are having success this season, they’ve made the NFC North arguably the best conference in the league. I’m a Lions fan and I want them to earn their success. I think Darnold is playing lights out but I can’t imagine a world where he has 6 TD passes against DJ Reed, Sauce Gardener and Michael Clark. Good Luck to you guys.

Vikings won the last 3. Jarius Wright's walk-off in 2014, against Darnold in 2018, and the Mike White team in 2022
Keep in mind that a large amount of the passing yards GB got on us came after we started playing prevent defense, which was very dumb to do so early on, but Flo isn't going to make that mistake again. It'll be blitzes all day giving Rodgers flashbacks.

I think the Vikings will pull out the win most likely unless they allow the Jets to get the run game going or the short screen passes to Breece Hall, then I can see it going a different way. Should be a good game either way.
Sam Darnold has had a banner year since McCarthy went down in the preseason. He’s in the best system ran by O’Connell, who’s from the Shanahan coaching tree
Americas quarterback was the guy from day 1. JJ was going to sit at least until the bye week if Sam wasn’t doing that good, maybe the whole year if he was doing what he’s doing rn.

It’s possible that they sack him multiple times and get pressure on him at least half of the time. But, if the Jets O Line allows him 2 seconds to get the ball off, Minnesota is in trouble. The Vikings allow 274 pass yards a game. Rodgers will pick apart that type of pass defense. Not to mention, the Jets only allow 128 pass yards a game. This forces Minnesota to run the ball more than they’d like to. This game will be much closer than most of you think. Don’t let last weeks performance cause you to overreact. The Vikings know they are in for a tough matchup and the same goes for the Jets.

Jets have a very good pass defense that could give Darnold some problems...their run D not so much. We know the Vikings offense can do it everywhere and Jones will run them over. Just hope Darnold sticks with making smart throws; i.e. no interceptions. Vikings D is potentially going to end Rodgers with the Jets craptacular O-Line...plus the "ageless wonder" might have trouble with jet lag in London :) I see this as a blow out! 35 - 13 Vikings Win in the Darnold Revenge Game!!

I understand the Vikings confidence going into this game, granted they look good and complete. But the jets upset the Eagles last year when they were undefeated and riding high on themselves, and that was with Zach Wilson and a terrible O-Line.... As a jets fan, we're obviously the underdogs against this good Vikings squad, but I wouldn't be surprised if the jets pull out all the stops to try and steal a win here, especially after that embarrassing shitshow at MetLife last week. Hope its a good game regardless
