You didn’t give zoey a limit on gold eggs so why tell James to leave the rest for others it should be whoever finds them first
Why’d you tell James to leave the rest of the golden eggs for everyone else when he said he found 2 but another kid said they found 3 and you didn’t tell them to put one back..
All the kids are so special in so many ways but there's something about Patrick and Bree that really tugs at my ❤️.

Tip for the deviled eggs. We always put the filling in a zip lock baggie, seal it. Cut off the corner and pipe it into the eggs. Easy!

I would have had eggs , grits, biscuits and sausage instead for breakfast. That’s way too much sugar considering their Easter baskets are full of sweets which is fine but that sugar breakfast is a double whammy.
I love that you don't force the kids to go to church. My mom was raised Catholic & never felt connected to the church, that going was because her parents made her. So she decided to not force me, when it came time for communion classes she explained it to me & let me decide. I really think religion/faith is in our hearts & it's a parent's job to guide you down a safe life path that will help you figure it out for yourself, not force you to believe what/how they believe. 💖

Just a little helpful hint. If you slice the eggs length wise instead of across, they will stay with the cut side up.

We hide clues around the house/yard that eventually leads the kids to their baskets. My MIL did this for my husband and her kids and it’s such a fun tradition to continue with my family.

My easter was waking up doing laundry, dishes, mopping the floors. Feeding the cat and then feeding the kids, made ribs for dinner made a cake with floating jelly beans and then went to the family grave site and put flowers on my grandparents grave stones and then flowers on my great grandparents grave stone. Then came home gave kids medication cause we all ended up sick
That is so sweet you went to those no longer here but you remembered them. Hope you all get better soon! We just got over being sick for 2 weeks, some bug is going around. have a great rest of your day!

I am happy you said that about not forcing religion on the children! My mom had the same view as you and always told us we don't have to go if you we don't want too.
I always just use a plastic bag for the deviled eggs. Put all the filling in the bag and cut a small corner off the bag to squeeze it into the egg. So much easier than a spoon for me.

I like that you give them the choice to go to church.
Saying. I was brought up in church ever since I was born and I love God and Jesus and I pray every single day and am very religious but as I got to be an adult, I just don't go to church anymore. My dad always said you don't need to go to church to have faith in the Lord and he is 100% correct. I still go to church every now and again but I just don't think you need to go to church to have faith. I'm going to let my kids decide whether they want to go and let them believe whatever they choose. I do hope they believe in the board and choose one day on their own to get saved like me but if I don't, I'm okay with that. The kid's dad grew up in church because his grandpa was pastor of the church and as he got older, he just did not like church anymore because he went every Wednesday, Sunday and Sunday afternoon. He was forced religion so much that he just doesn't believe anymore. I love that he still is okay with me believing and we make a good team

Squash wont hit it either for a meal. You could have gone shopping in one of your many freezers for heat and eat foods and garlic bread and cheese bread. Or baked potato bar. Also more in the fresh fruit bowl. Or fruit salad.or loaded heavy baked beans. ❤ Fill ya meals.😊

We celebrated ours on Saturday my son and husband had to back too work I made ham mashed potatoes deviled eggs green casarole noodles and rolls and carrots cake for desert

That’s a lot of candy in the baskets just to get more. I never put candy in my daughters basket because she gets enough in the eggs.
I love how the kids got excited seeing the baskets and wanted to wake up Patrick and Jordan to see. The outfits are so cute! I also love that you allow the kids to decide and not force religion on them. They are all great kids you and Josh have done an amazing job ! I also love see Nana and Papa there helping you out around the house. So cute the dogs with their toys. I love the pups and chickens too.
For the eggs you can use a ziplock bag and cut the tip, fill it with the filling to make it easy to go into the egg.
Spaghetti squash is hard to cut but so good when done!
