- Dr. Pournima Dhumale was the second artiste to perform at the FEA-curated Legacy concert. She was representing the Agra gharana. Performing during the afternoon slot, she opened her recital with Raag Vrindavani Sarang.
She was accompanied by Mukta Raste on tabla and Anant Joshi on harmonium. Tanpura and vocal support was provided by Aaradhana Hegde and Prachi Kulkarni.
मन्द्र सप्तक आलाप औचार की बुनियाद ज्यों जमे ज्वालामुखी के लावा का दृढ़ पठार सा है, जिस पर ऊँचा विशाल राग स्वरूप विस्तृत विस्तीर्ण है। युगों के इस भार को इतने सौन्दर्यपूर्ण, गरिमामय और सहज स्वर से उतारने के लिए शत शत नमन।
Great to find a contemporary singer singing in an authentic Agra gharana style that seems to be getting out of fashion. A fine discovery for me. Thank you FEA. Just subscribed.
Definitely a great find, at least for me. This is the first time that I'm listening to this wonderful artist. Very impressive. Will try to hear more of her. The accompanists are both great, as are her sishyaas providing vocal support.

What a tour-de-force! Such a strong voice and such expression of the raga!! Please post more of her recitals. The voice is so strong and she seems to sing with restrained emotion.

Madem thank u very much for ur reply. No doubt FEA is doing Marvellous contributution to the field of indian classical music.Its concerts are very standard and dipict the true classical music.Even musicians sing or play as though they are presenting it before qualified pandits, ustads, vidwans.Iam regularly watching these vedeos without fail. The place where i am staying(MYSORE) chances of listning these hindustani music artists is remote. Though i could not contribe any thing to the institution FEA, with humility i request u to consider arranging Sitar concert of ustad Irshad khan,nishath khan,Dhruv BEDI,samanvaya sarkar so that listeners, learners like me will be blessed to hear live through ur chaneel.
