@@kal8430 If were talking about type advantage, I agree. Grass type is inherently the weakest due to many weakness and Water/Steel is a bad match. Fire/Fighting is the best out of the three pokemon
@@zera3947 Water/Steel is an incredible defensive typing, its resistant to 10 types, neutral to 4 and immune to 1, the only bad part is the 3 weakness being 3 common types fighting, electric and ground. Fire/Fighting on the other hand is not as good defensively but much better offensively covering 7 of the 18 types with just those 2 stabs.
And you'd have to wait until post game to get more fire Pokemon, like Stark Mountain or NatDex Underground. The only fire Pokemon I know you can get Underground anytime is Houndoom.

One of the weirdest part of this fight is that ILCA gave Gardenia's Roserade Technician for some reason. The only move it consistently boosts is Poison Sting. I guess it's because they wanted Grass Knot to do consistent damage since it's damage output is based on weight
It's probably because they wanted to give Roserade a Poison-type move that did _decent_ damage but wasn't too overpowered for this point in the game. When you consider Roserade's movepool you can see that the only other options were Sludge Bomb, Poison Jab and Venoshock, so I can totally see why they did that.

The move sets the leaders and elite four have consider coverage so she might have trouble. The rematches are even trickier since they are wielding competitive strategies with appropriate hold items.

Kiara get info that there are only 2 pokemon lines available in DP True, but the sinnoh’s grand underground allows you to catch pokemon available in the platinum dex. We see later irys was struggling to catch an overleveled houndoom.
this makes me remember when I first played platinum. I chose Piplup and didn't catch any pokemon because I didn't like any pokemon I saw up until that point so i had a level 26 Prinplup as my only pokemon and stupidly made him forget peck and have only water type moves, I ended up resetting that save.
Gyrados can learn Flamethrower through a TM. I learnt that from Misty, from the Pokemon movies, where the villain had a Shedninja and he was mocking Misty because none of her Water Pokemon naturally learn fire attacks. Shedninja only takes damage from attacks its weak to, so he assumed she didn't have any Flying, Dark, Ghost, Rock or Fire attacks. He assumed wrongly.
I didn't learn it from the movies but the comeback episode where she leaves her Togepi (which ends up evolving to a Togetic) in the mirror world to protect the other Togepi (or something like that, it's been years lol)
If she's suffering here, wait till she gets to crasher wake, fantina, byron, candice and volkner She's probably gonna do neutral dmg against 3 of them and one is gonna spam status conditions and the last one will decimate her, if she rlly intends to keep her only water type team, however they kept the dp team for volkner this time so her only problem is raichu and luxray with him. I am aware she'll also pick up pokemon that's blue to her, so we'll see how it goes Edit: i saw she got a magby, didn't see it earlier, so candice will be no prob but she also has medicham which her gyarados can probably deal with. While fantina can be kod by gyarados's crunch, she'll confuse her pokemon a lot, so she probably will rely on switching out and healing her pokemon in that fight, i can't say

I think Roserades ability in Pearl was Poison Point, was it?

I had TM Pluck for this gym which made it easy for my freshly evolved Golbat to sweep.
