What's most striking about the great Rawlings is his honesty. He doesn't pussyfoot, sugar coat or mince words like other politicians. When the interviewer said "people don't have money in their pockets", he just said "yeah, that's true". What a man! Even with all his amazing achievements, he was still quick to admit that there was more still to be done. Fantastic leader!
"I'm saying that, we can vote people in and out ...personalities, okay? But my dear, what we need to do in this country is to establish a situation even if it was the devil who should come and sit on top of affairs in Ghana, by virtue of certain procedures, certain practices, the devil cannot get away with doing what he wants. He'll necessarily have to do what the people expect of him. ......... so that Rawlings being here or out, is not really important". What a word!! May the soul of our departed hero rest in eternal peace.
Brother people will forget Papa J but I will never forget him until my last day on this earth, the man with integrity, cried about the situation of his citizens man who wants the citizens leaves better, villages and cities have to get ases to each other, l don't know how to describe him, people just envied him because he wants everyone to be the same like Americans Australia and Europeans , look at today those people who said he is spoiling the country has become the worst ever leaders may his soul rest in peace
@ananejoseph5217 my dear, all these that you have said about Papa J is so true and even less of everything he stood for. As for his haters, the least said about them, better. They portrayed themselves as messiahs, but in reality, they are devil incarnates. 😈

What he said must be taken note of. Africa is being kept on a leash all the time. You will have to conform to Western policies and criteria to be qualified for just enough to barely keep your head above water.
We are still not learning.
They see, they know...all well planned. They push u till you hv no choice than to depend on them
JJ Rawlings.....a man for the people!
Growing up, I came to know that man; Rawlings and his approach to national issues and the manner in which he tackled them head on. He has paid his dues to our beloved nation-Ghana. We will miss him
Should the leaders of the 3rd world countries not be outspoken, or courageous?
This made me tear up a bit. Jerry's passion for Ghana's development, anger, frustration, and heartbreak etc were all evident in this interview. God rest his soul.
