Hi Walter, Great Video! We loved it! Thank you for trusting Druk Asia to take care of your trip to the Land of the Thunder Dragon - anytime you wish to return, we'd be most happy to plan a refreshingly different experience that's tailored again just for your needs. Tashi Delek, Druk Asia
I am also planning to cover Bhutan during the last week of December. Heard that is off-season, so I am wondering if all tourist places would remain open including the nightlife of Thimpu ?
Kuzuzhangpo, may I know what was the tourist levy like before Bhutan government re-opened her door to tourist and what's the current levy look like, thank you...
I was waiting since a long time that any vlogger will upload videos of bhutan, you did this. Thanks a lot. Cause this part of world is largely unexplored and not shown by any backpacker.
I’m so happy I found your vlog / channel. My husband and I are hoping to visit Bhutan next year. We loved your details, the time stamps, the double views and your stories.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us! Im planning to go to Bhutan and your video is totally helpful and inspiring!! Cant wait to see and experience Bhutan!
What an informative and delightful video, especially after watching a few from a well known airlines blogger, who seems to thrive on controversy. This is what I'm looking for in airline and travel blogs. Thank you

The landing at Paro is not very much different from what I experienced when landing at Lukla airport in Nepal, both having great views & indeed challenging when approaching for the landing.
@@walteroid I have been there once & intend to go back also next year. Nepal is just spectacular, especially if you love the outdoor & mountains. Do take a trekking trip & Nepal has many wonderful treks to choose from.

👋 Hi! Would like your recommendation on the flight. Do you think the tour agency would handle it for us? Or is it cost-wise to do it myself? Im from PH by the way 😅 planing to go this August.
Hello! The tour company arranged everything tor me including the visa and flights. However, my flight is from Singapore. There are no direct flights from Manila, so you would have to transit via Singapore or Bangkok. I suggest you book your own flights to SIN or BKK (and also hotel if needed), and then let the tour company take care of the flight from there to Bhutan. link.drukasia.com/walteroid
Hi Diana! Yes, the USD 200 per NIGHT would be paid as part of the tour package. Please expect somewhere between USD 3,000 to 4,000 per person for a 7D/6N trip including visa application, flights, 3-star hotels, meals, car service, and entrance fees. It would be best to contact a tour operator for a more accurate estimate.

Hello Walter, did you have to go through immigration and customs at Guwahati airport even when your destination was Paro, Bhutan?
Hello! We stayed on our seats and didn’t leave the plane when we landed at Guwahati. So we did not have to go through India immigration and customs.
@@walteroid Ohk, thanks for responding.
Hi Walter who did you tour with?
Hello! I went with DrukAsia, which I highly recommend. You can find the link in the description below.
Is the meal complimentary??
Hello! All meals are already included in the tour package.
Is it possible to visit bhutan without the package? Like any other place, we’ll secure our visa flight and accomodation. Is this allowed?
Hello! I think it is possible, but might be very challenging to do. I also noticed that public transportation is limited and not too frequent.
enjoy man😍😍😍😍watching from Nepal😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍r u from philipines?
Thanks! Yes, I’m from the Philippines.

How did u come to know about Bhutan
Before vlog?
Hello! I first saw Bhutan’s flag back in grade school.
Are you Filipino?
Yes!
Which cities did you visit?
Hello! On my first trip, I went to Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. On my second trip, I also went to Bumthang, Trongsa, Wangdue Phodrang and Gangtey.
@@walteroid im going to go to thimpu, paro and punaka also

@@walteroid Wow! The price is so high. Thanks for sharing.
200usd per night for the fee? Wow thats expensive
Yes, it’s called the SDF - Sustainable Development Fund
Soon i go to Bhutan too because i have gf Bhutanese 😌
you solo traveller?
Yes, for this trip I travelled solo. Bhutan is safe for solo travellers and gives a lot of flexibility.
Thanks for nice video... But your information is wrong... Now Bangladeshi, Maldives also need to pay $200 SDF like all nationals except Indian.
Thank you for this information!
200 $ per day is basically saying pls don't visit us. I don't know why they do this.
Their tourism is only for those who can afford.
