Good morning Kathy!...That's a fun way to choose colors for a quilt. Find a border fabric you love and then choose the rest of the prints based on the colors in that fabric.
I actually smiled when I saw the snowman quilt! I love it. Keep up the great work and thanks for the Saturday videos. Brenda, Oakville, Ontario, Canada
Thanks so much for your kind comment Brenda! I'm so glad you like the Warm-Hearted quilt...it was a fun one to design and I really like it in Peachy Keen fabrics. =)
Good morning! I love Scrap Basket Stars and already have the pattern, and all the fabric in gathered! I'm looking forward to getting to it. Warm Hearted is adorable 😍 The circles indeed looks like snowballs! Looking forward to adding the scrappy snowflake block to my other scrappy blocks!
Thank you for the little scrappy patterns, they would make wonderful little wall hangings or pillows. The snowman quilt is so cute, and with a Cuddle fabric backing would make it a favorite winter snuggly. I purchased the $5 pattern, I think this would be a great baby quilt. ( I make my baby quilts to be more floor blankets for tummy time, then the quilt is a little bigger to cuddle with as the child grows).
The scrappy blocks have been a lot of fun to share!...they do make fun little wall hangings, table runners, or pillows--especially if you are someone that changes out your decorations for the different seasons. =)
I am a brand new quilter and when you said snow man quilt, I had a vision that popped in my mind, but it was nothing like your quilt. That is the absolute cutest snow man quilt. I am a new quilter. I am making my first quilt right now, but I hope I can manage to do this one before the year is out. I love snowmen and have a little collection going. I love your quilts and fabric lines. ☃️❤
Wow, Corey, so much quilting goodness was packed into a short video. I loved all the quilts and cute scrappy blocks and of course, the snowman quilt was the hit of the show. So so cute. And yes, the quilting does look like snowballs. Very cute design.
Thank you for the scrappy block patterns - so cute! I appreciated learning about your Coriander Seeds, white on white prints and their Bella Solid color comparison. Very helpful to have that info for reference/comparison. Love the fabric choices for the snowman quilt.
I love the snowman quilt and intend to make it. I might make 2 one for each of my daughters😘 I love all your scrappy patterns and am going to print them all. The snowflake is awesome . I love the secondary pattern. Thank you Cory☃️
Love your free patterns thank you for them and for adding the pressing directions. Just used the shamrock 3 of the them for a table runner to use this spring
I love the new scrappy block! I finally cut out my pieces for the heart block but don't have it stitched up yet. My plan is to make a scrappy sampler with all of them
Those snowmen heads on Warmhearted Quilt are the cutest! And it looks like it would be such a fun quilt to make on a cold, winter day. I want to make both of your snowman quilts now. ☃️⛄💕💕💕
Thanks Corey - again for a pretty block - been doing all of them but haven’t decided what I’ll make! AND the more I see of your Peachy Keen, the more I love it - it’s so delicate and dainty looking to me.
You're so welcome!...the blocks have been fun to share (and piece!). I've really been enjoying Peachy Keen...it's a fun line because it works for so many different quilts. =)
You make such beautiful block patterns and I think it's wonderful how you share them with us. Your patterns are so easy to follow, too. Thank you for that! Just purchased your Scrap Basket Stars pattern. I love it!
Thanks so much! UK quilt shops are able to order the fabrics through United Notions/Moda. I always encourage customers interested in purchasing my fabrics to be sure to let their local shops know. Quilt shops have so many options when it comes to purchasing fabrics that it is always helpful to know what their customers would like to purchase.
I love that Warm Hearted quilt and think I will use the blocks to make a table runner. I have a great supply of Peachy Keen that will be perfect for this. Thanks Corey!
Oh yes, they are all "Peachy Keen!" I love the snowman most of all. I had the same thoughts when I first saw peachy keen about the winter blues being wonderful for blue and white quilts (my favorite ones to make). I was drawn to the line though first because I love your fabrics and secondly because it's hard to find "peachy" ones that work well together. My nickname as a kid was Peachy and I have always loved the color and the fruit. 😉
Peaches & Corals (especially corals) are some of my favorite shades to work with in quilts. I don't as often gravitate to the blues but the last year or two I have been liking blue more in quilts than I have previously. It's been fun adding it to my fabric lines. The colors in Peachy Keen were ones I'd wanted to put together for awhile and I was so pleased with how the line turned out. =)
Wow. Just loved the share this past month. I loved the snowflake block from today's. Not sure if I will do it. But I loved it. I have got so many projects stacked off in the wings with all the fabric needed???? And the pattern that goes with the idea. I keep telling myself I have to get some of these projects completed before getting more. Well, like any other fabric nut. I do not listen to reason. I get more and add it to the stack. Ha. I love your videos very much. Thank you for sharing.
I have been holding onto my fat quarter bundle of Peachy Keen, and I think I am going to make scrap basket stars! It's such a beautiful fabric line I wanted to use it in a "perfect " quilt ❤
How cute is that snowman. It would be cute also with the snowflake mixed in. I have bought the previous snowman five dollar block and waiting for the starberry fabric to come out so I can use it for the snowman. Thank you. I love your fabrics
I always love the blues in any of your fabric lines. That snowflake looks so pretty in those blues. I also have been so happy Coriander Seeds is a basic. I have bought some for several quilts and am not sure when I will get to making them. It is nice to know I can get extra if need be.
@@CorianderQuilts I have a top finished using that fabric for the setting strips. I'm finding the white on white doesn't fray so easy and makes it very enjoyable to sew with.
Love all of the quilts Corey❤❤❤ That snowman ⛄️ is so adorable and the BOM I always look forward to! Can you mix the snowflake block with the snowman block? I think that would be so beautiful😊 Love the channel as always and thank you!
As you were sharing the free blocks I realized that this is a perfect Calendar quilt!🤪. I know I’m slow. 😂😂😂. Will you be designing a finish for these? They are just perfect and I love them all. What a talented designer you are. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
Thanks so much!...They've been so much fun to design. So far I've just been sharing the blocks here and there as I have a design/pattern ready to go. I don't know how many I'll end up releasing. =)
Love the snowflake block - so versatile. The snowman - what can I say - just love it !! Looks great in your fabrics but oh the possibilities. Just wondering, the quilt you showed with the small circle quilting - what is the name of that pattern? I you said it I missed it. Thanks for the videos, I look forward to Saturday mornings to see what you have to share.
The one with the small circle quilting is called Cakery. I didn't mention the name of it as I was just referencing it for the quilting. You can see that quilt in the Coriander Colors Trunk Show video: ua-cam.com/video/CP76hkg7Nyg/v-deo.html
I’m really liking your channel! But I’m not finding the description box you mentioned that is below your video? Obviously I’m not understanding how to find it! Thanks for your help.
It depends how you are choosing to watch the videos. On a handheld device, you will click where it says "...more" underneath the title of the video. That will open up the box. Then, you may also need to click where it says "...more" one more time to completely open up the box.
Yayyy, Corey time is the best ! Can I ask this lovely online community what’s the best way to decontaminate a quilt that’s been used by someone who has covid? I know that the advice for clothes is to wash them at 60 degrees Celsius , my quilt is 100 cotton, including the batting, the top has some softer colours but also some reddish ones, do you think if I wash it at 60 degrees as advised , with loads of colour catchers it will be ok? Any advice would be awesome ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed watching! Has your quilt already been washed? Did you prewash your fabrics or heavily starch prior to making the quilt? Are the fabrics you've used all quilt shop quality? Knowing those things will help others answer your question better. =)
@@CorianderQuilts thank you for your reply, you are so right in raising all these points! The quilt has never been washed before, and the fabrics were not washed prior to using them or being starched either.
