Hands down the best pencil I have ever used. My background, CPA with 35+ years of experience. Use a pencil daily. The first 30 years or my career I was a Pentel P205 .5mm user. Came across this pencil one day, ordered one...........never looked back. It has a nice "heft" to it. It's not heavy, but it has enough weight that it just feels "solid" in your hand. The diameter is a little bit bigger than a normal mechanical pencil but it's not bulky. This helps keep your fingers/hand from cramping if you're writing a lot. Lead advances consistently and not "too much at a time". Looks good. I've had a number of comments on it as to how heavy it feels and how it looks. I have the black and silver one but use the black one daily. When it goes missing (as it invariably does as I lay it down) the whole office comes to a stop until I find it.
WVFreebyrd I like the comment that the whole office comes to a stop until you find it. Which silver one do you have? The raw aluminium one? I have the long brass one, nice and very heavy.
Thanks for the review! Just ordered one online. Still wondering how long the lead advances on each click. The click sounds wonderful. Looking forward to receive the pencil.
Received the pencil few minutes ago, It's a chunk of satisfaction for sure, at least for me. The click sound is virtually identical with Staedlter 925 25, but the cap with a little o-ring on it provides less wobble during writing. It's a great pencil for daily works. Again, thanks for the review. Looking forward to more!
@@Bleistift I will definitely get one. Since the online store don't have any clips for Kaweco special series, so I might need to go to the retail store which is miles away from here. But I'll give it a go. It'll be perfect to have a clip along with this pencil.
@memm I live in Taiwan currently, but thanks! I think it's possible to get a clip within £ 2 here. Just need some time finding a stationery store around the city. *Then I found that was the clip for sport series, the one for special series is a lil’ bit more pricey.
I bought one recently for my new Special brass pencil. The cheapest price I found here was £5. Wow, Taiwan. You must have lots of cool stationery there.
Hey man, was considering to buy this product. You gave great representation of it. So thanks for review. One thing i wonder that, is it sturdy at the point ?
I'm happy you liked it. I normally prefer 0.2. We're talking about the Orenz with a sliding sleeve here so I like a softer lead that leaves a darker line. Even though the Orenz is so great I still like to try out other pencils and 0.3mm has much more choice so I also use 0.3mm and even 0.5mm because there's then even more choice of pens.
You have to get rid of the "lead capacity" You must not add more than 2 maximum 3 leads, on any mechanical pencil, because the leads can stuck to the point the pencil won't work anymore. It's difficult to fic it when that happens. Also, even if that wasn't an issue, you can't use the same lead hardness all the time, you will have to change the leads at some point for many different reasons, especially if you use the pencil for drawing. I always add 1 lead. The only pencil I own, that has 2 leads in it, is one that I only use for writing.
Good point. Some pencils seem to be made for adding many leads though. The Mars micro and the Staedtler refills fit exactly so that you can dump them all in the pencil in one go. I think I have a refill video that shows this.
Weird Guy it’s smooth but that’s mainly depends on the lead and it comes with a smooth lead. It’s very different to a Safari. This one is metal, the Safari is plastic.
Yeah its depends on lead but some pencils have weird shape and they dont write smooth. Like when i using same lead on different pencils writing changes on pencils. Which one writes smooth kaweco or safari ?
It's all over the place, most of it in different boxes all over the house, where ever I could find some space (Houses in the UK are the smallest in Europe). I wish I had a basement, then I would probably have most of the collection in one place and could do a video. What are you favourite pens? Mechanical pencils?

@@Bleistift Silver. But I rarely use it. I use the black one daily.

Thanks for the review.
Does the surface have enough texture? how do you do with sweaty hands? is it slippery?
In my opinion the surface is grippy enough and not slippery.
@@Bleistift Thank you

The front part is plastic which is a bit disappointing, but it looks well made and I haven't had problems so far.
I'm really liking your breakdowns! Extremely, helpful!
What are you're preferred 0.2 and 0.3 mechanical pencils and lead?
Thank you!
