I am getting a lot of comments about the R colors. Just like I said in the video all cameras are set to manual white balance K6500 and processed with Canon Digital Professional. All cameras are calibrated straight from Canons factory. It’s a fair comparison and I always noticed the R to have more green colors. That was the main reason I didn’t get it personally when it came out. If you have the R and love it that’s awesome, I am not surprised because it’s still an amazing camera even thou it got the last rating from me personally.

I thought the same, although I may keep it as a back up, it doesn't offer the same shutter speed capabilities I've realized I also need. It does keep up amazingly well, it looks great in comparison to to the R6!
I remember going from my Canon rebel t6 to a brand new RP and I was SO proud and so many people said I wasted my money, I was going to hate it, I should have just waited and saved my money for a better one and as much as the R5 would be amazing, the RP has seriously impressed me and I love mine so much! I've been using my RP for a couple of years, and I've been very impressed with it! I've recently started getting more into wedding photography, so I'm currently looking to buy a second body.
I've done a few shoots with the Canon EOS RP and both times I've been impressed with the performance of it. It really is a great camera for the money! But that R5 thooo 👀👀👀
@@IreneRudnyk It is so good to see good comparisons like this. I got the RP and at the time I was a bit regretful for going with the 24-105mm L version over the R and the regular 24-105mm but looking back now, Im glad I did. Although I do more video than photography it continues to impress me.
RP looks amazing in this comparison and I guessed it to the first photo. And most importantly, this comparison shows that the dynamic range is not much worse than others, and the color rendition is one of the best. On R6 I liked the detail, despite the fact that it has the lowest resolution. R5 looks great, but in my opinion, it is better to spend these extra $ 2500 on a good lens.
Thanks for doing this video. I shoot with the R and RP. I made the decision to concentrate on investing in RF glass rather than changing camera bodies. I have no plans on upgrading any bodies until I’ve used the R and RP for at least 5 years.
@@IreneRudnyk Wish this was emphasized in the video - that RF 85 makes any body a hero, and the inverse of a crappy lens ruining a top camera also holds true
I've just upgraded from the R to R5 - both great cameras really and the image quality of the R is comparable to that of the 5d-mk4 let's not forget! A good photographer will get great images from both (and a bad photographer...). What I like about the R5 though is the ergonomics with the joy stick and quick control dial, and as someone who crops a lot (street photography), the 45 mp is helpful! The IBIS is also helpful in using the super lightweight lenses like the 50mm STM, which doesn't have in-lens stability. I'm sure in a year's time we'll be hearing about how the R5c or R3 (or whatever) is the new must-have, but I think if you're happy with any of the R's, then best focus on the photography than the equipment and enjoy!
I've been shooting with the RP for 12+ months yet & I've never felt like it's held me back on any of the shoots I've been hired for. I recommend it to anyone who asks about jumping up to Full Frame
@@Michael-fw5ef I use EF glass converted with the Canon adapter they supply with the RP. The only L Len’s I’ve used is the 24-105 F4 & it’s the sharpest lens I’ve ever owned
Nice to see the RP get some love for a change! While my mains are R5/R6, I grab my RP for travel, or taking photos of my 1 year old around the house. It’s probably my most used camera these days. Whenever any hobbyist asks me what full frame to get, I always recommend the RP for the price and versatility.
I’ve had the RP for a year now and absolutely love how small and light it is. Great for travel. For video the 35mm rf is lens is excellent and the dual pixel autofocus is buttery smooth. I only shoot 1080 24fps so that’s all I care about. Favorite portrait lens is an adapted 135mm Contax 2.8 Sonnar. Also use an adapter 40mm Summicron which is almost too small of a package but gives unique images. An adapted 50mm Summicron is the perfect package to me for stills.
I've owned and shot commercially with R, RP and 5D4. Results in this video do not correlate at all for me shooting thousands of images. For me EOS R first for overall photos and video, 5D4 second and RP third. Not sure where the green tint in the R is coming from here, I've never experienced it. I'm looking forward to trying the R6. Thanks for your video.
@@Sayject It is most likely the "Portrait" mode Picture Style she was using. Easily corrected but why not just change the EOS R 's picture style to Faithful or Autumn Hue or even back to Standard.
@@MayankNimbalkar I use the R for video and landscapes. Just shoot raw and use gray card or a color calibration card and you can correct/grade the colors to your liking
Couple of other tips here: If you shoot jpg and just want to use auto white balance you can go in in the cameras menu and tweak the colors toward blue and red, don’t overdo it and do some testing. It’s under the camera icon menu and fourth tab called WB Correction. Now you will have a cooler tone or maybe more neutral tone applied to every shot or video. And if you shoot in raw it’s easy piece to correct in post with a cooler tone in white balance tool and maybe at a bit of magenta in white balance tool as well. Hope it helps.

We have the R and R5. We too found the colour shift seemed weighted to green on the R so we adjusted the white balance offset in the camera (under Camera icon, menu item 4) to ad a little magenta. We shot with a colour checker chart. Rather than use a LR preset, we found this to be a more convenient option.
I have the EOS R, after your video I looked at my photos both RAW and Edited and I didn’t find them as green as your camera. Possible that you may have a damaged sample of the EOS R
I don’t, I have actually used two different bodies over the time and they both have this colour. You probably just don’t notice the difference. You really see it in the comparison
I will switch to R6 at the end of the year and some rf lenses to go with. The R5 is amazing but the price difference is too high for what the R6 already offers and even I would like to have a bit more options to crop images as I photograph wildlife and zoo animals often I don't really need images that big for it and they just need to much space on my cards and so on anyway.
@@robertmueller6979 the 100-500 is definitely on my list to get with the R6. That's sounds amazing. As I breed exotic moth species this is good to hear about.

I got the RP three years ago and it has been wonderful. My only complaints are: lower battery life due to LP-E17 vs LP-E6; having to use a bypass cable for vertical shutter release (and only 3rd party battery grips available); no vertical oriented scroll wheel on those battery grips; and your hand size may require the official grip-only accessory that adds 2cm to the bottom. OTHERWISE, IT PRODUCES EXCELLENT IMAGES. Third-party EF-RF adapters are $50, sometimes even with the function ring included. (Don't be suckered into buying the official Canon one unless you need perfect weather sealing I suppose. It all works the same.)
I second that. Personally I feel like the R6 does everything the R5 does unless the user a) produces lots of large prints or b) needs 8k video. But the R6 is literally half the price where I'm from (this is used prices for both).
I have the R5 and the R. Both work well for my needs (wildlife/birds) I haven't really noticed the colour issue with my R but it was a later model. I like the R for it's 30 meg images, which is always helpful for cropping in. The R5 is superb and the R is great as a second body. Thanks for all your great videos Irene, I love that you focus more on getting the image you want than all the tech aspects of gear, and your results are beautiful.
It's solid in size and weight, too! Very comfortable to travel with it and just keep it in your backpack if you get a small lens like the RF 50mm f/1.8.
don't! jus because it got the last place between those 4 doesn't mean that it is a bad camera. Just like i said in the end, i produced great work with all 4
Great overview! I am thinking some of the color differences might simply be slightly different auto-white balance or even that the light changed slightly between shots and the auto-white balance simply did a different interpretation of the white point. Or did you shoot everything at at the same white balance? Anyway, I just ordered a Canon RP to get a taste of the Canon RF system - I love the ergonomics compared to Sony.
I did a comparison using another reviewer raw files and I could reproduce the green cast when using fixed white balance. When using the camera auto the R5 was actually greener than the R. It was pretty easy to match them by tweaking a little bit the white balance : imgur.com/a/Nr3YfIa
Seems strange that your copy of the R is darker than the R5 when it's been noticed in other reviews that the R is brighter than the R5. Should see "Canon EOS R5 vs EOS R: Image Quality Comparison" by PetaPixel. It seems to me that not all cameras are equal when out of the factory, you probably got a lemon. The greener tint is well known on the R, while the R5 gives off more of a magenta tint.
I can only compare the R and the R6 but i have returend the R6 to the vendor because i found the difference in terms of photographyand image quality so minor that i prefered the 30 MP over the improvements in the R6. Most of the features are great for video and only a small improvement for photos. I wait for another generation in the 3000$ Range and then check them again. But for now my almost 3 year old R is still my favorite camera. R5 is far to expensive for me so it does not count.
Great comparison video Irene! I’m looking to investing in a mirrorless full frame camera - and for the price and quality- The Canon RP looks like my decision. Thank you for making great content!
to me it's one of the best real life comparaison of image quality for those cameras. thank you! I have the RP and the 70D. the ISO is the main difference, you can push the RP to 12800 iso and it's still better than the 70D at 1600 iso
Kkkk
This is no secret that some photographers crave the vintage styling of cameras and also the film-look in images. We do get the film-look in the images produced by Canon 5D Classic. However, the retro-styling is something unavailable to current Canon camera users. Nikon enchanted its users with Nikon Df few years ago and now, Nikon Z fc. I’m simply awestruck how beautiful those cameras look! How about Canon thinking in the same line and present us with few such styles like the great Canon AE-1!
Two card slots aren't necessary, but they can be handy. One time I was shooting a fashion show and they also wanted it shot in JPG and wanted the photos between the sets. Two slots allowed me to shoot JPG to one card and RAW to the other. Then I could hand off the JPG card between sets and drop in a newly formatted card for next set (while keeping the RAWs all on a larger card that stayed in the camera). After the show, I had RAWs, which allowed me to fully edit the shots for my own portfolio.
I just bought the RP a few weeks ago and I love it! So far I only have the 50mm with it, but soon I'll expand to the 35mm and 85mm too. I also have a Blackmagic Pocket 4K for video so that side of the RP didn't really bothered me. This video makes me happy and feel like I made the perfect choice thank you :)
Awesome comparison, I think the RP punches WELL above its weight, I use it as my main camera with the R as a backup usually, (yes I would like the R6 a LOT! ) I would be interested to add the M6.ii into this mix, personally I think that its on a par with these cameras although obviously a different form factor,
I went with the R6 because it has a small megapixel count which is better for lowlight. I’m a wedding photographer so this is very important to me. Additionally the CF cards for the R5 are ridiculously expensive.
I have Eos R and i do not have green skin i my photos, its wrong to set all cameras to K6500,because all cameras are different calibrated...R from R5 and R6 has different white balance and needs different Kelvins to perform with better colors.Eos R has best color skin from R5,R6 and RP.Also every cameras has different ISO standart...iso100 on R5 it is not iso100 on R,thats why you get darker exposure with the R.All in all...different models have differents Iso's and different White Balance, wrong comparison..great cameras.
I do have an R6 and did already shoot with all the other cameras, for me the r5 is the winner but im sorry the R6 is clear the second... For the stabilisation, AF, video without getting hot, science colors... Just wanna ask you how do you work with CR3 in lightroom, its losses all the canon color science, please do a video with that... continue the amazing work
Canon and Adobe have almost stopped playing together in ICC profile synchronization. Therefore, editing CR3 on Lightroom or Camera Raw is not the most effective because it loses its original color. Currently I am using Captrue One and Canon Digital Professional to edit CR3 and the results are very good.
Yes its a shame, the supplied color profiles for the R5 and R6 are basically useless and look horrible. You can create your own profile with a color calibration device. Also, you can buy profiles for example from color fidelity. they are definitely better than what adobe supplies and improve things a lot. still they do not look as good as the camera jpegs color wise, but after a little tuning i am personaly okay with them.
WOW Honestly, I will go with the RP pictures any time any day. I love the color rendition coming out from that little thing and surprisingly that is the cheapest of them all. But, must ppl will love the mega pixels/Build quality of the R5 camera. Great work by the way, blessings!
I have to admit this review was better than I expected. So many just talk (literally talk and not much else) about specs. It was nice to see some normal real world use. I've been leaning toward the R6 as an upgrade, but am concerned about the heating issues being mentioned all over the internet. Did you experience any issues with overheating?
Great review Irene. Respect to the real world comparison. It's basically what matters most to anyone trying to decide which camera to buy rather than specs only comparisons which most people do. A little more comparisons with one or two different lenses would be appreciated. Cheers again for the wonderful review. 🥂
I replace my sony a77 and got a Canon R. I am a new Canon user so I went for this one. It was on offer and got a discount on it. It really good camera and when using it for a fashion and boudoir shoot. I cannot see any green in the images or video shoot. I am using it for indoor shoots with natural light or studio lights. I just got this last year. It came with a kit lens to see how it works. I love it. The most important one I needed is using iso which I can go higher than my Sony which can only go 16000. The only thing I noticed was the noise that easily sees in darker areas of the image when using high ISO. This camera works for me. In the future, I am looking for another camera for video. I am thinking r6 or r5. For this camera am thinking to get a wide-angle lens for a video shoot. Sandeep Patel
For image quality, the RP was the best all the way through except for one photo despite people on UA-cam saying it's an old sensor. I heard the battery sucks though. That would annoy me.
Adrian, that might be because you don't shoot all your shots in manual white balance at K6500 and process in DPP. If so, you're probably not alone. In fact, you're probably in the vast majority. I, too, have no problem with the colors from my R, and no difficulty with getting them exactly how I want them.
@@alastairnorcross Even with the same settings of Manual white balance at 6500K and processing in DPP, I can't recreate the greenish color on my EOS R.
I upgraded from a T5i to an RP when it 1st launch so yea I paid $1200 but damn i couldn't be more happy to have it. R6 looks amazing but I don't like the 20mp censor, like the RP has more than d R6 but its just me, its a great camera doh. Nice video Irene.
First of all, I should say this, the model is so beatiful. Second, I wanna say my opinion about these cameras. Without considering price, R5>R6>R>RP R5 shows the most natural images among them. So that's first position. R6 shows accurate AF and bright feeling, and very good quality in low light. RP shows good color but if situation is not the best, then quality goes down sharply. So thats the last position. R is not excellent, but not bad. Just so so.
Irene, do most photographers provide the clothes for "models"? I noticed you have a wardrobe for models. I wondering how much of a service you provide. I see youtubers hiring models but I thought you get clients and that they come with their own wardrobe. Do your clients come for shots for their portfolio? Are you getting work from fashion clothes companies that require you to hire? Or are some of your videos you're doing tutorials and that you need to hire the models for that? Are a majority of your models instagram models?
Im blown away canon rp on second place…got RP 2 weeks ago… and im really happy with it..coming from Nikon D7500…really love the mirror less and full frame
I actually mixed up the RP and R5 photo guesses at 3:15... I use an R5 at my day job (marketing/multimedia production) and it is awesome. I used to have the R because it was the only thing decent out at the time from canon and the RF lenses looked juicy. 3 years later, I convinced my boss to upgrade for the uncropped 4k, 4k 120fps, in-body stabilization, and 8k. The 45mp is awesome but the file sizes are 55mb for uncompressed RAW. Eeeek! If you can afford it, definitely get the R5 as it will last quite a while with the specs it has.
Great comparison video. The EOS-R has been my main camera for over a year now and I have not experienced the greenish tint issue. I just got an RP as a backup. I hope the R6 goes on sale around Christmas 😆
I have the EOS R and EOS R5. Haven’t used the R much since getting the R5, which is simply nicer to use, is more capable and delivers superior image quality.
what do you mean properly calibrated? its set with the same setting as all other cameras. I have always noticed it being more green for some reason. i even mentioned it in my R5 R6 release video.
@@IreneRudnyk you can calibrate the colors in the settings under wb color shift. You can also reset it there. Sometimes it can get accidentally changed.
Nice comparison! Great! ... I have two RP bodies ... I use them with the EF 50/1.2 and the EF 85/1.2 lenses. One lens for one body. No lens changing. No dirt inside. :-) The old EF lenses are not that sharp and have a lot of color fringing - but I like the look! And even because of that I'm old, too - my eyes are weak and the picture quality is more then perfect for me! :-)
I personally can't tell the difference between the R5 & R6. I sold my R when the R6 arrived. IBIS is a game changer plus the colors were better. Save $ and get R6. 20mp more than enough for most folks.
Personally I believe that your Eos R has some kind of defect when it comes to color saturation… I have never had that issue with mine neither my friend and coworker which both of us shoot with the eos R. Apparently that specific camera you’re using has some type of sensor issues. When it comes to the R line, when you’re using the same lens in all of them, Canon has made sure that almost 98% of the photos taken with look very similar in terms of quality of course..,and that one you’re using is more on the green side that any other ones I have use or seen. Beautiful work by the way. Kudos to you Irene..😉
Daniel, Adobe LR ruins camera colors accidentally many times, but the older ones I think they are ruined on purpose. Try capture one, my 15 year old 5D performs as the new ones in terms of color accuracy
Those were my thoughts too, the colors of her R are so different then the colors on my R, i've also used the RP, and the colors looks almost identical...
The problem with showcasing Canon's performance is that all the YTer's use L glass, while most people don't have the money to spend thousands of dollars on just 1 lens. We average folk use the regular Canon glass and we don't get the same performance because the L glass is much sharper than the regular RF glass.
I have the Canon RP and it continues to amaze me at what is does for the price point. My goto lens is the 24-105 kit lens. Would like to have the R5 👀👀👀. The color on the R all appear off - lots of green color on the model’s skin for some reason
I think the color on the R can be easily corrected by changing the Picture Style to FAITHFUL or AUTUUM HUE or even Standard. She seems to be using the "Portrait" Picture style
I'm so glad I watched this. I've been debating which camera to upgrade to and I do a lot of outdoor photography in green areas. The rp seems to be the best option for me right now. Next upgrade will be the r5

I liked R6 the most and am surprised you ranked it third
But the model is naturally aging between the shots, so is it really an accurate comparison 😉
I've been shooting with the RP for 12+ months yet & I've never felt like it's held me back on any of the shoots I've been hired for. I recommend it to anyone who asks about jumping up to Full Frame
Do you use L glass or regular RF glass with your RP?
@@Michael-fw5ef I use EF glass converted with the Canon adapter they supply with the RP. The only L Len’s I’ve used is the 24-105 F4 & it’s the sharpest lens I’ve ever owned
I actually like r6 thee most
RP ‘s images are great according to its price🔥🔥🔥

The R6 is the winner here. Not because I’m biased or anything lol
The r6 just looks better - I am trying to pick and every sample raw photo I see I prefer the R6 - I wonder why
What lens would you recommend for the RP if you want to use it primarily to shoot your young children?
I’m thinking 🤔 about it the rp or r
I get my R6 last week AF is insane compered to my old 5Dmkiii.
I know right! The autofocus on the R6 and R5 is insane
Made the same upgrade. Same experience. Superb AF on the R6!
Same upgrade for me. It’s such an improvement.
May I ask a quick question , Does the auto focus on R6 work with a fixed lens while shooting a video?
@@pinteep You mean prime lens? Of course as long as lens have auto focus motor.
The EOS R6 and EOS RP are my favorite in all side by side comparisons, higher resolution doesn't always = better picture quality.
exactly
I agree, I somehow feel the R5 was rated higher than it should due to the price over here
I’ve had the RP for a year now and absolutely love how small and light it is.
I believe in your experience more than the video.
Same! I shoot with R, I don’t get green as what Erin posted in her video.
Because she set the temperature manually, which makes no sense at all.
Agreed, I absolutely love the EOSR and in this video it makes the EOSR looks trash
@@Sayject It is most likely the "Portrait" mode Picture Style she was using. Easily corrected but why not just change the EOS R 's picture style to Faithful or Autumn Hue or even back to Standard.
This is fantastic! Thank you for the comparison!
Found myself preferring the R6 in most photographs!
I have Canon Eos R, heartbroken 💔 after seeing this. But I still love ❤️ it.
don't be! just because it got the 4th place doesn't mean that it is a bad camera at all
@@IreneRudnyk Yes 🙌 Thank you 😊
@@MayankNimbalkar I use the R for video and landscapes. Just shoot raw and use gray card or a color calibration card and you can correct/grade the colors to your liking
Couple of other tips here:
If you shoot jpg and just want to use auto white balance you can go in in the cameras menu and tweak the colors toward blue and red, don’t overdo it and do some testing.
Hope it helps.

the RP turns out to be a great Cost Benefit.
As a R5 user it breaks my heart to admit that R6 is a winner here. Best result and cheaper. No brainer.
Don't let it break your heart. That r5 is a beast.
I was gonna say, I think I’m liking the R6 more than any of them
We have the R and R5. We too found the colour shift seemed weighted to green on the R so we adjusted the white balance offset in the camera (under Camera icon, menu item 4) to ad a little magenta. We shot with a colour checker chart. Rather than use a LR preset, we found this to be a more convenient option.
I will have to play around with and see if it makes a difference, thanks!
how did you upload a color chart to the eos r and which color chart did you use?
I have the EOS R, after your video I looked at my photos both RAW and Edited and I didn’t find them as green as your camera. Possible that you may have a damaged sample of the EOS R
I don’t, I have actually used two different bodies over the time and they both have this colour.
You probably just don’t notice the difference. You really see it in the comparison
@@IreneRudnyk I’ll take your word for it but please don’t tell my clients 🥺
It’s still fine, it’s not horrible or anything just not as good as the other ones.
I also notice it in my R. At least in lightroom. I always need to add +5 magenta to fix it
@@andrewmedina1943 I definitely found a lot green tint on R photos myself. Had to color correct it.
I have the R6. It resolves the individual lenses on the eye of a dragonfly with the 100-500mm. Nice camera.

Wow, this is good news for my 2 years old EOS RP!
The R6 makes the most sense of all the cameras based on cost and performance.
I second that. Personally I feel like the R6 does everything the R5 does unless the user a) produces lots of large prints or b) needs 8k video. But the R6 is literally half the price where I'm from (this is used prices for both).
Just purchased the RP after watching your video and I can't wait to try it,I wish I could afford the canon 85mm 1.2 lens.
I have the R5 and the R. Both work well for my needs (wildlife/birds) I haven't really noticed the colour issue with my R but it was a later model. I like the R for it's 30 meg images, which
is always helpful for cropping in. The R5 is superb and the R is great as a second body. Thanks for all your great videos Irene, I love that you focus more on getting the image you want than all
the tech aspects of gear, and your results are beautiful.
I want a RP! That was the one i liked the photos the most!
It's solid in size and weight, too! Very comfortable to travel with it and just keep it in your backpack if you get a small lens like the RF 50mm f/1.8.

I have the R, feels bad man
don't! jus because it got the last place between those 4 doesn't mean that it is a bad camera.
Nice comparison! That must have taken a ton of time juggling the four cameras.
I prefer R6 and RP
Sample shots from left to right
1- R
2- RP
3- R5
4- R6
I got my 5dmk2 since 2008 and Im only doing Wedding and Portraits and Ill consider Buying that RP
Some will point out battery life as an issue, but just carry an extra with you and you can go a very long time.
If the r was let’s say 24 mp it would a better all rounder
Great comparison video Irene! I’m looking to investing in a mirrorless full frame camera - and for the price and quality- The Canon RP looks like my decision. Thank you for making great content!
to me it's one of the best real life comparaison of image quality for those cameras. thank you! I have the RP and the 70D. the ISO is the main difference, you can push the RP to 12800 iso and it's still better than the 70D at 1600 iso
Thanks you. I'am going to do that change
EOS R6 all the way. I bought the r6 personally from all my research.
Thank you for sharing this card tip, that is super practical!
As an RP owner, this video makes me happy haha.
Additionally the CF cards for the R5 are ridiculously expensive.
can you please explain to me how smaller megapixel count helps with lowlight?
@@mumuvp lmao 😂
I personally liked the skin tones on the RP and R6 the best :)
I think RP is best with this price , main problem dynamic range it can solve with Lightroom ditels increase ??
I swear, the R6 keeps knocking my socks off. It's the winner, to me. I still think I could get by with the RP., though.
Best video now i can buy rp
WOW Honestly, I will go with the RP pictures any time any day. I love the color rendition coming out from that little thing and surprisingly that is the cheapest of them all. But, must ppl will love the mega pixels/Build quality of the R5 camera. Great work by the way, blessings!
I have to admit this review was better than I expected. So many just talk (literally talk and not much else) about specs. It was nice to see some normal real world use. I've been leaning toward the R6 as an upgrade, but am concerned about the heating issues being mentioned all over the internet. Did you experience any issues with overheating?
EOS R = 🐸🦖🐊🐢🐍🐲🐉🦖🐛🦠🌵
Great review Irene. Respect to the real world comparison. It's basically what matters most to anyone trying to decide which camera to buy rather than specs only comparisons which most people do. A little more comparisons with one or two different lenses would be appreciated. Cheers again for the wonderful review. 🥂
Do you sell any Lightroom presets or have links to which presets you use?

For image quality, the RP was the best all the way through except for one photo despite people on UA-cam saying it's an old sensor.
I heard the battery sucks though. That would annoy me.
Hi new sub here... Thank you for making my final decision about the rp.. thank you.. hope i can buy it after this pandemic thanks again.
I was going to upgrade to the R from my Rp, but I don't think I'll bother now. Thank you for showing my little RP stands up against the rest 👍
Something is seriously wrong with that particular EOS R. I have the EOS R and the R5. The images from both are virtually identical.
Exactly I don’t have any issues with the colors on my R.
Adrian, that might be because you don't shoot all your shots in manual white balance at K6500 and process in DPP. If so, you're probably not alone. In fact, you're probably in the vast majority. I, too, have no problem with the colors from my R, and no difficulty with getting them exactly how I want them.
Agreed
@@alastairnorcross Even with the same settings of Manual white balance at 6500K and processing in DPP, I can't recreate the greenish color on my EOS R.

I upgraded from a T5i to an RP when it 1st launch so yea I paid $1200 but damn i couldn't be more happy to have it. R6 looks amazing but I don't like the 20mp censor, like the RP has more than d R6 but its just me, its a great camera doh. Nice video Irene.
I'm an r6 owner it's still nice for my photography.....
First of all, I should say this, the model is so beatiful.
Second, I wanna say my opinion about these cameras.
Without considering price, R5>R6>R>RP
R5 shows the most natural images among them.
Have any EOS RP Friends here 🤜🏻🤛🏻 I usually take pictures of cars.Who can teach me more use lightroom to adjust the picture😄
Great comparison video. The EOS-R has been my main camera for over a year now and I have not experienced the greenish tint issue. I just got an RP as a backup. I hope the R6 goes on sale around Christmas 😆
You won’t notice it until you compare
Thank you very much for the review. Thinking about buying a RP and now it's confirmed.

Are you sure that the r is properly calibrated? The green shift seems odd.
what do you mean properly calibrated? its set with the same setting as all other cameras. I have always noticed it being more green for some reason. i even mentioned it in my R5 R6 release video.
@@IreneRudnyk you can calibrate the colors in the settings under wb color shift. You can also reset it there. Sometimes it can get accidentally changed.
no nothing is changed there. I always do custom kalvins for all my shoots. Here all cameras were set to K 6500

Surprised by quality of the RP vs the R and R6... I have the r5 but maybe an RP as secondary is a good idea.
Personally I believe that your Eos R has some kind of defect when it comes to color saturation…
I have never had that issue with mine neither my friend and coworker which both of us shoot with the eos R.
Have you ever compared it to anything else, because if not you are just noticing it. My camera doesn’t have any defects
Exactly. My pictures never look so yellow or green. More neutral
The problem with showcasing Canon's performance is that all the YTer's use L glass, while most people don't have the money to spend thousands of dollars on just 1 lens. We average folk use the regular Canon glass and we don't get the same performance because the L glass is much sharper than the regular RF glass.
I think the R6 could be 2nd place for video alone… 👍
I have the Canon RP and it continues to amaze me at what is does for the price point. My goto lens is the 24-105 kit lens. Would like to have the R5 👀👀👀. The color on the R all appear off - lots of green color on the model’s skin for some reason
I think the color on the R can be easily corrected by changing the Picture Style to FAITHFUL or AUTUUM HUE or even Standard. She seems to be using the "Portrait" Picture style
If you have limited budget or is just a hobbyist, go for the RP.
Otherwise, R6 and R5 is made for professionals.
