    I am sorry, but that was entirely your fault. There was the option for changing the hardware colour, but were so quick to choose that you missed it, and you placed your order right away, etc.. You can't possibly expect Fender to stop everything just because you suddenly changed your mind. If they made an exception for you, they'd have to do it for everyone, and they would never get thigns done, because people would change their orders throughout the process. It's best to take your time and make 100% sure that you are positive about your choices. Then you can place your order. It's a sweet-looking guitar. I certainly wouldn't have gone with a hardtail, but that's your personal choice, of course. Really can't blame Fender for bad CS here. To be fair, you tried to be unbiased, and did a pretty good job at it.

    You spec'd the guitar fairly quick IMO, missed or skipped a few steps including plastic part color selection when you were selecting your options; you selected and acknowledged you accept the return policy terms and conditions though we didn't see you read them in the video, and you placed your order.
    You're not dealing with the CS or small luthier, you're dealing with one of the largest guitar makers in the world; what seems like a small change to you means someone - or several people - has to stop what they're doing (working) and fix it because you changed your mind after placing the order.
    Buyer beware. Take your time and consider all the options before placing your order.
    IMO

      Honestly I'm not sure what he was expecting. He said it himself, Fender is one of the biggest guitar manufacturers out there they probably get thousands of orders from the Modshop daily, you can't expect them to allow people to change their orders after the fact, It just wouldn't be practical.
      He seems mad at Fender and their costumer service over something that's entirely his own fault, maybe if you're ordering a $2000 custom guitar you should think it over for a couple of days to make sure it's really what you want.

      SMDH at this guy… a bunch of bad and misleading information, unfamiliar with the mod shop tool and terms, wants a huge company to stop everything they’re doing because he had second thoughts on specs. If Kiesel can’t modify specs after the completion of the order, certainly Fender can’t. They’d have to do it for everyone and no guitars would be built.

    I don't profess to be a luthier but I put a new Vega tremolo system on my Strat and it was buzzing on several strings... I adjusted the neck (had to loosen the strings as the adjustment screw was at the base of the neck, and adjusted the neck. 3 times. Finally got it perfect and all the buzzing is gone. Watching your video first thing, I said 'adjust the neck'. The bridge wasn't causing a buzz.

  • @danjudson5661
    @danjudson5661 Рік тому +1

    Sorry unless you did different things you did not get up the guitar. The screws in the bridge are for individual string height and action. They don’t need to be tightened to avoid buzz they just need to be set correct. I suspect if you combined the correct neck relief with strong height and intonation that guitar will not buzz. Also the temperature can mean even a guitar that was good in the factory needs further setup once it arrives with you.

    • @KleshGuitarsOfficial
      @KleshGuitarsOfficial  Рік тому

      Correct. However in my experience there are many guitars that just won't set up correctly. It's usually the fingerboard which needs levelling/refretting, or sometimes it's the neck angle. Every guitar can be set up properly but sometimes it takes Invasive measures.

  • @inyourbusiness73
    @inyourbusiness73 Рік тому

    It's the frets that's causing the buzzing noise. Check your string height at the 12th fret vs the second fret. I think your neck might be canted too far back. Remember the adjustment hole in your neck plate!

    Adjust in this order: truss rod/string height/intonation/relief at nut. Height - two screws on top of each individual saddle of bridge, intonation is the very back screw on bottom of saddles. You did not even mention string height....

    I'm 31 and only a month or so into my guitar journey,, I'm not yet learning chords but I've already learnt the first 22 bars of hallelujah, almost half of lynyrd skynyrd needle and the spoon, as well as a couple bluesy links that I've come up with.
    I've got a Monterey strat style SSH,
    A Haze strat style 12 string SSS,
    A Haze Tele style 6 string,
    An old acoustic that gigged around Alice Springs (australia) thru the 70's.
    A Yamaha 4 string bass.
    And a Koloss gt4 6 string (kit build aluminium body).
    The koloss has a bad rep due to junk neck and hardware but since putting the spruce neck from my monterey on it it's a beautiful piece to play.
    I spent my first week dialing in action height, intonating, cleaning up the fret work etc and now it's my favourite by far.
    For my koloss to sound better than a legit fender I feel I done well. Does it sound better than ALL fenders? He'll no! But all work was done by me and I'm proud of it.
    Safe to say it will be my Frankenstein.
    Currently waiting for my Ernie Ball strings to arrive so I can upgrade from the Orphees I strung.
    Much love from Australia

    Dude, if a guitar buzzes, why would you even consider changing the bridge before even taking the time to thoroughly inspect the instrument? Especially on a hardtail. It's probably an easy fix, especially for a luthier like yourself.
    Having said that, I'm not saying it's okay for a brand new 2k instrument to buzz. I'd probably send it back and demand it be fixed, but that's not the point of this comment.

    • @KleshGuitarsOfficial
      @KleshGuitarsOfficial  2 роки тому

      Changing the bridge out temporarily just to see if that's the problem is a common way to narrow down the cause of a phantom buzz. I'm not 100% convinced it's from the bridge, i'd say 50-50 neck (frets) or the bridge. I put it in a case after filming, havent even played it since.

    Made in the USA, but I don’t believe they can say made in the USA anymore in most situations. It just says Carona California because of that. Made in the USA requires less than 5% percent of the parts involved to be composed or from foreign sources and nowadays, even with Strats, they can’t make that claim. If it says it somewhere on the headstock, then my apology, and that must mean more than 95% USA sources.

    My American Pro II i just got has much better work done all around than this guitar. My frets are perfect and mirror like. Theres a few things im not so impressed with this Mod Shop guitar. After finally getting a Fender i love after 30 years of buying and selling or trading away Fender guitars as i was never happy with them, this production model the Pro II HSS is what i would buy again if i was getting a Fender, not a Mod Shop. The setup on mine was perfect. I got mine from Sweet Water. Ive seen more trouble with Fenders Mod Shop and Gibsons, more trouble than its worth imho. Its cool they offer all these options etc. But unless im really trying to get a unique guitar (say with rosewood neck) maybe id buy one of these. But the QC im just not impressed with. Its like simply buying one of these is annoying the company your buying it from haha. Maybe thats just todays customer service ? But i am all set of the Mod Shop i think. To me, Social Media "influencers" get to have too much 'influence". There are so many happy Mod Shop customers and this YT guy get a defective one and so many people are ready to bail. I've seen so many theories here on how they are built and even the basic Standards aren't thrown together as some people suggest here. Any electronic/mechanical item has the chance of having issues. The real problem is whether Fender will work with you to fix the problem. The Pandemic guitar surge I believe caught all companies off guard and this is bound to happen to some orders. What exaggerates the issue is a YT reviewer getting clicks, sells the guitar, and it's off to the next video. It's a random moment in life, but some people make life decisions based on them.

      In the uk if we buy the mod shop we don’t have to pay tax or anything but we do pay a lot do the guitar, I bought a hss from the modshop with a full rosewood neck, hss configuration with gold hardware and it cost £2250 which is $2900 but I had 20% of with student discount I paid £1815 which is still $2300
