@@reicelestial2478 No, he didn't went to the Philippines to study in highschool. His school had mandatory language learning subjects and they were given the option to choose which languages they wanted to learn, Luca chose Japanese and Tagalog. He explained this during his debut

@@reignyairys7486 Ngl, he made the right choice. Although both are hard to learn for people with English as their first language, learning either of the two will make it easier to learn the other(Since Tagalog and Japanese share a few similarities in pronunciation).
I like how he has to add a little more Australian to his accent before he'll say the actual word.
It might be because he knows his audience isn't Australian so he's avoiding any confusion, or it might be because technically 'Luca' is a Japanese mafia boss, so putting on a heavy accent while describing Australian slang is more appropriate for his character.

@@melon_boxedmilk I believe it goes, from least to most severe, Aus - UK - US. Vox'll be surprised (if it isn't spoiled for him by someone first) but not nearly as shocked as someone in NijiEN who lives in the US or CA.
It actually often is a genuine insult in Australia, but it's kind of a class thing. If you're bogan (white trash), it's usually neutral or a compliment ("He's a mad cunt", "Aw that's sick cunt", etc) unless you append 'fuckin' to it ("Ya fuckin' cunt", etc); in my experience 'dog' is the most common bogan insult ("Ya fuckin dog cunt" is one I've heard a lot). Non-bogans, on the other hand, often use the bogan version only ironically, while otherwise using it as an actual insult or swear-word.
The important distinction is that it's just not treated as seriously as in American English. It's not really worse than saying 'fuck' to most people.

Not sure if anyone's been keeping track, but I did happen to clock Nina saying "little cunt" to herself during her recent UNO Collab with Luca, Kyo, and Daph39 (a non-vtuber). It was also in the context of Luca trying to be a Mean & Evil Mafia Boss but specifically that Nina had predicted 2022 would be her own Villain Arc and instead she had a similarly hard time calling people swears.

Luca already said it two times (first in the Crab collab game and second, in a horror stream). While Sonny said it in a stream too (forgot what game was that) but just accidentally said the C-word instead the word 'current.' LOL.
luca's said it twice before, sonny said it once before (just a misreading of current) and again on luca's stream, mysta has said it a couple times. its pretty funny how cunt is way more common in Australia and you can tell luca has to reign it in (during crab game he let it slip once but then later he almost did it again when malding and then went "I ALMOST DROPPED THE CBOMB"....)
