this is what a man does if the women leaves the house :D That canopy looks awesome. I will keep this technique in mind for my next project. Thanks for sharing this video
Don't know how often you make these but a suggestion that could make life easier, print it with say 2 12mm holes in the back, you could then use these to attach to a heavy base stand with 2 dowels when wrapping to make it easier and the holes would also give you something to hold onto/pull on when releasing from the vacform
Greetings from France. Me asking myself the question to make a suction machine as simple as possible ... I am convinced by your video. There would be a way to get another one quick, neat, and concise with the dimensions about your vacuum table construction. thanks in advance
@@markoroolaid thank you for that. Did you use any form of release agent on the film? I have a large canopy to make for a Me 163 and will definitely try your way of doing things to the letter. Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL! How do you calculate the thickness of the mold so that you can get an almost "exact" fit to the intended model's fuselage for the end result? I have no idea, but would like to eventually get the same result as you so rightly done! Thanks for making these tutorials for your viewers. New sub here.
Wow ! That is inspiring Marko. I'm about to buy a freewing Banshee but would like to create a clear canopy for it also. Perfect methodology here. Thank you for sharing your amazing expertise. (Phil ... UK)
@markoroolaid Very welcome... I'm an RC builder and musician and budding youtuber... been watching your stuff for a while... really really high quality... you are up there with the best in the field imho.... I'll keep trying my best myself!
I'm in the process building an old aircraft and need a canopy. I made a mockup balsa model of the canopy and planned on using large soda bottles to heat shrink down to the right shape using the balsa model. Unfortunately, the canopy is larger than a large soda bottle so I have to make it in two halves. After watching your video, I'm curious if I can do the same thing with the balsa canopy model. What is the material you are heat shrinking on the 3d printer model and can that be applied to a balsa canopy model? Also, what is the material you used to make the final canopy?

Wonderful clear canopy making process
Earlier i was wondering how people were making these
Not sure how that could have turned out any nicer. Amazing.
Thank you

Hi, only one canopy glass was needed to make, so, that's an already forgotten topic. But thanks for the advice
@@markoroolaid no worries 😊
I like the way you use Cleaner as vaccum machine ❤❤
Hello Marko. Do you have some video, how do you make that mold frame ?! I like your method. Simple and efficient.
Did you use any release agent or wax on the glossy paper you applied to your 3d printed mold?
Hello
No, I didn't use anything. But you can use mold wax, it helps anyway
Awesome and simple. Really helps having a 3D printer to speed up the process. Thanks for sharing
Thank you
Just seen this video awesome technic I'm going to try it just need to find out where to buy PETG 0.5MM
Well done Marko!
thanks

What is the white plastic sheet you used over the mold please?

I myself used the mold release wax "Blue Wax", maybe better video too ua-cam.com/video/BTzzaoqKYx4/v-deo.htmlsi=kAjfjklqUAy8Om41&t=69

very nice fuselage and fit...
Very good!!!! Can I ask you please from which factory the glossy sticker is do you use to cover the printed canopymold?

Everything about this video was top class 👌🏽
Thank you
how much would you charge to make a freewing F14 canopy? I am trying to find someone who could make one for my FPV Tomcat
I don't make model stuff for sale, it's just my hobby :)

That's absolutely brilliant, real top job. Love the plane fuz at the end.
How does your ‘glossy sticker’ navigate compound curves? The video needs less muzak and more explanation.
Hi , nice canopy !. Witch plastic do you use with how mutch infill and walls ?
Hi 0.5mm polycarbonate. Mold infill 20% walls 4 line count and 0.8mm nozzle

Hello.
The 3D printed model is covered with a 3M 3D vinyl sticker. I used PETG 0.5mm polycarbonate to make the canopy.
Where do you get that "glossy sticker" ?
I have ordered my sticker materials from Igepa Group
www.igepa.de/international/
where do you find the petg 0.5 mm ?
I bought it from IGEPA Group
Thanks so much for the video!

Hi please tell me the thickness of the petg you used?
Hello.
The model shown in this video is printed from PLA. Nozzle 0.6mm and wall line count 4x
Infill 5%
@@markoroolaid hi Marko i meant the thickness of the transparent canopy petg i sheet you used?
Aa, ok 0.5mm
Nice work. Do you use PLA to make the molde?
Yes - PLA
Nice work.
Drawing by yourself the canopy 3d right?
Have a nice New Year 2021.

Great work
thank you
Ok what did you print the plug from ABS or pla ??? how much infill or wall thickness
Hi, PLA and wall thickness 6 layers, infill 10%
I sell Hannon blister pack machines that work exactly the same way. We use 10 mil Surlyn plastic by Dupont. Yours was 1.75 mil Ruumik?
"Ruumik" is the company where i buy it. In the video i use Esun+ filament
not enought clean for camera inside fpv ...
