great little mini pc, they are getting better every time.
They still need a better GPU for gaming.
they will not last, the same like the new laptops. to much power for the size
@@computersrepaircotesaint-l7407 I've had two different mini Pc's, both name brands and both overheated and died after about 2 years.
@@ianlets7531 I'm fixing motherboards so I know. to small to bad
Mini PCs are too overpriced.. better to get a budget gaming laptop, which comes with many more features.. mini PCs use laptop components.. but without screen, battery, keyboard and trackpad..
Everyone is talking about it!. NO, no- one I know is talking about it.
For years I had many laptops and desktop PCs a few months ago I opted for a mini pc with a 27' 2k UHD monitor
I´m very happy with my decision, I will continue buying only mini pc in the future
Good video Brian, happy 2023
Thanks, Happy 2023
I love it when Brian does reviews on these mini pc's. He always does an in depth review of all the internals and externals by showing us what's inside and outside the case and what cables are included. I just wanted to say thank you Brian for staying on top of the latest and greatest of the mini's. I was pretty blown away be the number of fan blades on that cooler fan. I think I counted like 70 blades total. The airflow that thing must create. Price is fair for what it does. No complaints here.
If you have an appropriate need a mini pc is a great piece of kit. I bought an Intel nuc 18 months ago to use as a media pc and also to zoom with. I have it permanently hooked up to my large screen Sony TV and a webcam and it performs flawlessly.
If I had discovered Beelink I might have saved a few quid for a similar spec but the nuc is a solid piece of kit which will last me a long time so I am happy with that.
I have 2 of these beelink mini pc's. I replaced my desktop computer with a beelink GTR6 and I bought a SER5 to replace another computer. They're awesome.
Edit: The GTR6 does a good job gaming.. with a bunch of other programs running (including 7 instances of another game concurrently), it still runs ghost recon breakpoint on ultra settings at 30 fps.
I think the “game-changer” with respect to mini PCs will come later this year when AMD releases the next-generation Ryzen “U” variant processor. It’s supposed to include RDNA3 graphics onboard, finally making an APU with decent graphics processing. That should give a huge graphics boost to mini PCs based on this mainstream chip.
if anyone on the fence about it it always go on sale
i have last gen model its a tank
i run 3 (4k tv) but at 1440p and can load up 50+tabs and go work on it
2 screens at 4k is good too
bee like makes a hell of a product
i do recommend changeing the thermal paste, they use a copper cooling so if u keep it flat ddef try liquid metal
its quiet af
Two years ago I bought a cheap mini PC with a J4125 processor. I use it as a media player for the TV and a server that's running 24x7. I believe the power adapter was only 24W. That thing works so well, I wonder what would be a use case for such high power mini PC as this Beelink. At that price, better to get a normal PC so you can plug in a video card for gaming. Or get a laptop at the same price. I'm also guessing that compacting such high power into a small case will not go well for longevity. You might get high failure rate after 1 or 2 years.
I love my little Beelink. Small, powerful for an everyday desktop.
These are interesting, not heard of this make before, so thanks for bringing them to our attention. We’ve been using Intel NUCs at work deployment, may consider these in the future.
@notfiveo Sounds interesting. What's your power bill like ?
Wow, this mini PC is really nice. The intel Xe graphics is a low power consumption card that supports up to 4 HD monitors for optimal gaming, 1080 60 fps. Wow, wow, wow!
What is the typical power consumption of a mini PC compared to a laptop or desktop?
Quite fascinating how much power can come from these mini pcs
I am more interested in its ability to render video, say with daVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro than play games. With the latest version of both, there's no point in testing a "standard" older version because software upgrades are free for the former, included in your subscription for the latter.
Sounded to me like you were saying D-Link.
I bought one for my wife. She loves it. Small, quiet and fast.
I'm mostly happy with my older Beelink, but it's ability to run quietly didn't last very long. Now the fan makes a lot of noise, and it always runs on medium, or high speed. In comparison, after roughly the same amount of time, my Lenovo laptop is still essentially silent.
You know you can change the fan. They cost about £5 for a decent bearingless one.
@@Pabz2030 Thanks, but it's more along the lines that even when it's not being 'used, and idling, so to speak, whereas it used to be whisper quiet, not it goes into a mode where the fan goes on higher. It has three basic levels, low, medium, and then high when doing more graphics intensive stuff. so now it's medium or high, and rarely goes low. i assume it just runs hotter than it used to.
@@Pabz2030 I'll certainly check out some options!
@@BrandochGarage Yea fans wear and suffer from dust etc, epecially cheap ones.
You really need bearingless fans for long term operation.
But I guess these mini pcs are built down to a budget
Hello.
Parts can be replaced by contacting the after-sales.
Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to do these. Would this particular Mini PC be a good fit for live streaming using OBS and two USB webcams? I need something small and lightweight and this form factor would be ideal. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Yes, absolutely
This MiniPC has decent specs. For most people, 16GB of RAM is all you need. As you said this is not designed to be a gaming PC
Why can't google figure out how to do subtitles on the previews? It's like the world has devolved over the last decade. Not only is stuff done poorly but no one notices or bothers to fix it.
Followed your link to Amazon,, not 1 of those pc’s is available to buy, don’t know when it will be. And at £650 for the middle offering, with the maxed out mini at over £900.00 ($1,300 C) that’s just about $1,000.00 Canadian, plenty of other options for that price, even if it’s not a mini. 🇨🇦
Can find them cheaper if you buy them else ware
@@Britec09 possible, I do like the form factor, good space saver. I am using one already, the CHUWI model but I’m always looking for something new. Thanks for your great advice suggestions on your channel 👍🇨🇦
Your talking about it. I haven't heard everyone talking about.
I am sure you are aware already, but Beelink branded computers are built by AZW in China. I dont think they manufacture anything. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyone else clicked the video coz of the beauty on the thumbnail 😂
what would ta mini pc be like for audio jobs like making music ? If you already have an external audio interface, and external storage, the main requirements are the processor speed and the Ram, so how would a good spec mini pc fare against an 8 year old desktop tower ?
Great video Brian, many thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great 2015 product
Nice video! Can you please mention the name of that tennis game?
Just hope you don't have to deal with support. I've been trying to get one fixed for over 3 months.
Wish these companies would give some idea of fan noise levels
Dude at first I thought that Spec sheet was written in Chinese. That was the WORST font to use think it was in comics sans, I don't have any issues with it in general, but with so much information and without a lot of space and center justified it was just to difficult even on pause to read. I recommend you try a different approach. Other than that well done.
Great indepth review again looks like a cool little machine....! keep up the good work😜
Thanks, will do!
Version two came out yesterday.
Careful...Mini PC's are like Pringles: Once you start you cant stop!
Mini PCs are great little project PCs - for stuff like a low-cost Homelab/virtualization. They aren't much good for gaming as the Xe graphics is crap on modern games, but it is enough to drive a 4k desktop, even two, without much issue. Great for lightweight computing tasks like school work and ranting on social media. My issue with Bee-link is many of their systems don't offer a "barebones" configuration - including this one. I have to buy their base configuration and toss out the drive and memory if I wanted something more capable - just seems very wasteful. I suppose I could put the drive into an enclosure or sell it on eBay - but a lot more hassle than it is worth. I just bought a similar type system - the NUC 12 Pro i7 (1260P) as a barebones - but I think it is a bit more expensive.
The new M1/M2 Mac minis are actually by far the best mini-pc:s on the market.
I'd rather buy a laptop any day. I don't see the advantage of cramming everything into a tiny package and then charging a premium price. Some reviewers have complained about overheating, even when not gaming or running cpu-taxing software.
please consider doing some giveaways of the products you don't use.
ty Brian
I do all the time, just give away a NAS and MINI PC on my discord server
NO DP? I would buy one if it had it
Good for the dosh if the fans dont go crazy loud on a load.
There is also a 20% off coupon in the Amazon checkout for this. At least for me it shows up.
Amazon US shows $479 and $40 coupon for me.
Why is it considered small when it consists if 2 parts, one of them silently ignored?
That's just comparing oranges with apples. I prefer devices 3 times the size if it's all in one
Hey Bri, they are getting more and more powerful. Shame I carn’t fit my Nvidia card inside 😢
lol yeah
There is no reason why mobile descrete GPUs by AMD or nividia can't be fitted inside mini PCs..
Mini PCs are too overpriced.. better to get a budget gaming laptop, which comes with many more features.. mini PCs use laptop components.. but without screen, battery, keyboard and trackpad..
Nice review. How many watts does it pull from the wall ?
Looking to get a mini-pc with a dedicated graphics card.... looking for reviews for one that has the brackets that enable it to be used.... *Subscribed*
Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of those. Later this year, AMD will be releasing a Ryzen U-series APU (that’s the most common AMD chip in these mini PCs) that will include RDNA3 graphics onboard. At that point a dedicated graphics card might no longer be needed anymore on these mini PCs.
I understand the concept. The PC is modularized so you have PC, screen, keyboard separate so you don’t have to buy everything all over again in one unit to upgrade.
"HDMI inputs" ... Shouldn't that be OUTPUTS?
How loud is the fan. I get headaches from the slighest sounds and my current Dell Laptop is borderline with the fan.
I'm picturing Michael Caine behind the camera. 😀 Thanks for the review!!
Sounds nothing like Michael Caine.
@@ShikataGaNai100 I'm sticking with Michael Caine. .
So people are going to buy this windows mini pc for way over $450.00 when you can buy a M1 Mac mini for about the same price. No one in their right mind would buy this thing while Mac is around. But there is stupid.
A little small cable? Is that smaller than a little cable, or littler than a small one.
Everyone is not talking about this! Trade Descriptions Act 1968 refers.
The processor block is decent but the power supply is nearly as big and you still need a screen. This is inconvenient compared to a laptop.
I've got the 12 core. It's awesome.
HDMI inputs??
Lovely but the AMD versions are better value IMHO. Cheers
Double the performance for the same price.. Would say so..
Mini PCs are too overpriced.. better to get a budget gaming laptop, which comes with many more features.. mini PCs use laptop components.. but without screen, battery, keyboard and trackpad..
How would it fare being used solely for music production software (Cubase 12 pro) being used at times for up to 8-10 hours continual use with a twin display?
So where is the thunderbolt port, does it have enough power to run Davinci Resolve? How do I make music with I do not care about USB 3 ports cause I have no USB 3 hardware not even USB 2 gear more than flashdrives. And even though I have been using computers since the mid 80 ies I never heard anyting anout this PC.
Can I attach my old 1080 GPU?
I don.t expect this product to succeed.
....then the Mac mini M2 comes out.
'all your needs' is probably a little much
In the US we are all talking about the BeeLink GTR6 6900HX mini-PC. It has the AMD Ryzen 9 6900 HX - 8 Cores 16 Threads 4.9 GHz CPU. A monster of a miniPC and drives an 8K monitor with the AMD RDNA2 12 cores at 2.4 GHz. Memory is DDR5 7000 MB/s. If you want the biggest and baddest on the street, this is the miniPC for you.
Agreed, I have the bee link 5600h and it preforms great, but I am looking forward to the 6900hx with the better apu. I use this to play war thunder under linux.
@@munocat The GTR6 with the 6900HX is awesome. I also have the GTR7 with the Ryzen 7 3750H. I bought it last February and it too is an awesome miniPC. But the first time you use the GTR6 will be an eye opener.
I can't see (On Amazon US) where to buy the 32gb Ram Version. Beelink doesn't even list it. So where did you see that it also comes in 32gb RAM? I need to do Creative Work with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time as other things.
The i7 version comes with 32GB. But you can upgrade de memory pretty easily on the i5
I'd just like to say that I'm not talking about it & I've not heard anyone else talking about it. Does this make your thumbnail mere clickbait. (which I obviously feel for)
I have a question? can I use this mini PC for programming?
This pc doesn't have enough USB ports. Why only USB 3.0?
Mini PCs are too overpriced.. better to get a budget gaming laptop, which comes with many more features.. mini PCs use laptop components.. but without screen, battery, keyboard and trackpad..
The reason I like mini PCs is because I don't want that clunky giant desktop taking up room in my desk area. But I don't want to pay a lot for them either so I end up getting the cheaper ones and then they are crap. Super slow to try to do anything with. And I can't afford an $800 one if I'm going to pay that I'll just get a regular one for that.
You can build a mini pc right now for about $420 that would out perform most sub $600 budget gaming laptops currently available.
@@mobiusbelts3607 but without a screen or keyboard.
@@jessejames586 TV can be your screen until you can get a dedicated monitor & as long as you remember to include a keyboard in your pc build, you’ll have a keyboard, maybe even a mouse too!
I have so many keyboards and mice laying around here. And anyone who's building something to replace something else could just use the keyboard and monitor from the one that's being replaced.
Is there any delay loading UA-cam videos? Thanks
Linux compatible?
What tool was it during the torture test to capture the CPU temperature and the thermal throttling output? I saw you used CPUZ to do the test...
hwinfo
hi Brian from italy which monitor do you use mostly everyday not just for testing, thanks 💪💪🥇🥇👻👻
Alienware AW3423DW QD OLED
@@Britec09 Thanks so much
No thunderbolt interface
having handled hundreds of beelink devices... their power supplies are absolutely the weak link and that female connector will crap out for absolutely no reason (I haven't touched one of these new ones btw just their older models)
Can these mini pcs be left on 24/7?
Yes
My mum's not talking about it, and nor is our cleaner.
No thunderbolt ???
I don't know who you think is talking about this...NOBODY I know and I talk to hundreds of different people every day.
I am not talking about it. And my wife is not talking about it. Even my mother-in-law is not talking about it. In fact no one I know is talking about it. :)
How long does this mini pc last for the long term??
Impossible to answer. If you use it a few hours it can last for years easy. If you use it 24hrs who knows. 😕
Considering such high power in a small case, an average one should last significantly shorter than an average normal PC, since the heat will shorten the lifespan of the electronics.
Thank you
You're welcome
I think the top pad is a filter.
£569. Not exactly cheap is it?
Very curious to know....the everyone who is talking about this?....And why they are talking about this....I somehow have a feeling that your the only everyone who is talking about this.......I can see everyone talking about the ridiculous price while trying to push this as some type of new concept....when these type barebone mini pc's been around for decades now...the purpose of these type pc 's is get quality hardware in a pc, while at a cheaper price. Where 200 to 300 is the typical price range for these type of pcs.
EVERYONE is talking about it? I'm not.
I'm not talking about it.
Did he really say the rear USB ports were USB 2.0? That's pretty stone age, right? Just curious.
Very nice indeed.! Plus 50 Shekels off ATM. Cheers. :)
Welcome
Disappointed... Can not run high demand games beyond 720p ? A waste of time and money that 1235u from Intel
i only clicked on this to say the thumb nail looks like liz truss pork markets
use a lap toy for same thing
19V and 6.32A = 120W = HIGH POWER!!! Six Amps !!!
lower power than a desktop pc
@@Britec09 Fair enough. I use a lowly laptop 3.4A.
powerful little unit
Nice, but I still prefer a regular pc :)
Yeah better cooling in a desktop . Heat is the main killer of electronics.
I have not heard of one person mention this thing
So, what's your point.
All very well having a mini PC but with these thick cables etc it won’t look too smart on the desk top, better with an ordinary PC underneath and desktop clear for working and suitable screen.
Can we add any external graphics to this?
SOME MINI PC HAVE THUNDERBOLT 4 USB C SO YOU CAN CONNECT EXTERNAL GRAPHICS...
Would you be able to connect a external GPU with the mini PC?
why go two all that trouble.
I don’t think so. You need a Thunderbolt 3 or higher, or USB4 for that which I don’t think this model has. The SEi12 Pro has that but it’s more expensive. Later this year AMD will be releasing a new Ryzen “U” APU which is very commonly used on these mini PCs. It’s supposed to have RDNA3 onboard so it might finally have powerful enough graphics processing onboard to negate the need for a dedicated GPU on these mini PCs.
you have a very deep voice and it doesn't really match the thumbnail :(
Nice device but I have never been keen on an SSD. Fast yes. BUT? You require LOAD balancing software. Thanks but No thanks.
Not everybody is talking about them
5:20 Specs page. Got to be THE WORST typeface I've seen in a LONG time.
