Still can´t believe he's gone. I sometimes suffer from depression and every time I needed to lift my spirits up I watched Carlos energy and passion for fragrances ... and I feel better instantly. Miss him indeed !

About to blind buy Santal Wood because of Carlos; it's crazy how you don't really know someone but the impact that they can have on your life. RIP Carlos, you are very missed.

I myself love the Chocolate Greedy! Wonderful Gourmond but the dry down is wonderful!
Same here, I ordered one sample one week ago and today I bought full bottle, one of the best gourmand I tried, its true that its not a complex smell, but its natural and well balanced

I've got Dark Purple in which she helped me pick out at MinNY back in the days. I've got 3 Middle Eastern releases, 1. Aoud samarkand, 2. Aoud and Pine, 3. Mr. Aoud
I have starry nights and red aoud and love both i want to pick up dark purple and santal wood now. Thank you Carlos and Olya. I hope to see more reviews on Montale and Mancera.
Just started getting into the house of Montale! I respect the hell out of the performance of these FRAGS. I also love the presentation. I totally see Olya rocking Dark Oud. Carlos, bring that I know that Olya enjoys leather, can you ask her if she's ever tried J.F SCHWARZLOSE "LEDER 6" A BEAUTIFUL, SEXY LEATHER WITH SAFFRON AND VANILLA/MILKY NOTES. @@missjohari it was nice, smelled kind of masculine to me even though it's unisex, it is sophisticated and not overbearing. woody and kind of peppery but it's light. Like you just walked into a fresh cedar room.

Very nice quintet of fragrances. The main one of these that I was intrigued by when I sampled it several months ago was Dark Purple, so I need to track down a decant of that! Great vid!

LOVE Black Musk! ADORE Dark Purple (mine says Purple Greedy!)!! Need to get my nose on Santal Wood (especially after seeing C's eyes light up sniffing it for the first time). I have a mad lemming for Aoud Purple Rose...and am not surprised Olya favors this! ;-) Aoud Forest? I need to get my gypsy ass over to the Montale website (it's been a few years)...thanks guys you two are one of my favorite he & she review teams! Hugs and brightest blessings! J xox

I learned my lesson. I won't follow guru perfume's advice when I buy my fragrances. I bought, the one that according to this two guys is the best one 'Santal Wood" and it really sucks. I don't like it at all. Smell cheap, and no intention of offending to anybody, but have u ever smell those fragrances that some old old men use, so get the idea.
Next time, I will go with what I do when I buy a fragrance, which is either smell it on someone else or try it directly on me. That is when you really know if the fragrance is made for you.
Great review and video! Spicy Aoud is another Montale that does not get a lot of attention, but is a beautiful and easy to wear fragrance. Would love to see a review of Montale Spicy Aoud if possible.
I also own dark purple and to me it smells like rose incense with a slightly sour-ey twist, and I wasn't the only one who noted the similarity?
I have been looking at alot of Montales lately and actually a few of these that you guys talked about so this video was really helpful thanks guys and keep up the good work.

I have 1 Montale.. oudmazing. And it smells medicinal to me and haunts me, but I want to like the grape. I got it from notino for about $80. Need to give one more try, maybe only 1 spray.

Not even kidding it took me about ten years to appreciate the only montale i have, which i blind bought....but somehow now i really like it, even after recently(past 2 years) going through many montale samples. It is Aromatic Lime..definitely challenging but has a solid character. What do you guys think about that one? Especially Carlos and Olya..

Montale has some nice scents, but I think they have toooo much fragrances, they got over 150 scents and like 40 different ouds

If you get Santal Wood, which I have , and you think that your fragrance has faded for the day, it most likely hasn't.
Olya is spot on with the comparison between Santal Wood, and Aoud Leather .Both have that sparkling aspect.
I have both two.
I'll have to sample Aoud Forest.
I have their Patchouli Leaves also.
I love the fall decay that's in the leaves in the opening.
I like vanilla in fragrances , but I wish PL retained the opening longer.
Some of Montale's line can make me feel self conscious though.
Carlos you know Rose 33, so you know what Black Aoud smells like.
I've grown a little tired of the whole same rose that a lot of these companies use.
I got a split of By Kilian's Incense Oud.
I love incense , so I figured what could go wrong . I like the comparisons on Fragrantica, buttttttt ?
Well it doesn't smell like Timbuktu nor Avignon , and the rose should be moved up from the number 3
position to the first.
There's a floating veil of well blended aspects to the composition, pared up with some sort of incense ,
then the rose takes center stage , the oud does show itself after awhile, and a slight sweetness is added
which helps to keep the oud and rose tame. That's the part I like .
Anyways Carlos, I am writing all this because I love my incenses for the winter.
I'm still waiting for my Sultan Pasha's Pure Incense , so I went for a 10 ml of Incense Oud.
I wasn't expecting the rose to be as prominent as it is . Had to pitch a bitch.
I very much like when Olya brings over her collection as well as other frag heads do on your channel.
We get to see your guys and gals spray the fragrance, be it by sample or bottle.
There's no second guessing as to those who don't .
BTW, I did sample Montale's Full Incense . It's a bit dry ,but it does soften up,not unlike CdG's Japanese one.
I forgot the name of it. Kydota ,something like that. That ones stays hard ,like the wood that's in it. Tight.
I love Eau Sacree , just wish it preformed better.That's why I ordered SP's Pure Incense .
I am going to layer the two.
