The biggest problem people have with Teen Titans Go is that it gets aired way too much. Often to the detriment of everything else. When the Regular Show finale aired, a TTG marathon surrounded it and it went out with little fanfare. They pulled this shit again with the premiere of OK K.O.!. There's even times when Cartoon Network will air nothing but TTG for days on end. Not even SpongeBob gets this amount of network favoritism.
I think they've toned down the number of times they air it. Now, it's mostly Gumball and TTG airing for most of the day with We Bare Bears and Steven Universe sprinkled in sometimes.
“They’re genuinely good friends” Clearly not a faithful adaptation than, because every episode seems to have the titans bring robin to the point of insanity
This film is definitely a fluke. The writing and everything is a lot more clever than the real show. It's hard to believe that they share the same writers.
+Red Blade Renegade I don't see the show a lot, but I remember that there's an episode where they basically inserted themselves in an episode and their characters were fed up with writing episodes. Maybe that's actually the case and their strict schedule for the show made them rush scripts out.
Honestly, TTG isn't worthy of the scorn it gets Yeah it's not a good show or stands up to it's original, but it's just a mediocre spinoff based on a beloved show, it is annoying how CN America overplays this show, but there's honestly worse shows out there And this is from someone who is NOT a fan
maybe not at first... but after some of the episodes they did yeah it does. i mean really WallyT. using a make a wish kid as a meat shield for criticism? REALLY? that's not okay, and if you ask me it justifies all the hate that came before it, just because the writers are willing to stoop that low. however, this movie wasn't made by the same people so the movie was a little better than the actual series is.
Adam Eason I can separate the artist from the art though No one calls Ren & Stimpy a bad show because John K is a shit bag of a human being Using a sick kid as a meat shield is disgusting, and it’s scummy, but again, separate the art from the artist
Honestly, I have little nostalgia for the original show so maybe that’s kind of part of the reason I’m meh on it But PPG 2016 I honestly disliked more than this, and I try not to be the majority who say “Childhood ruined” (It’s not, I can always go back to the old show) but that show just... rubs me the wrong way
It's suprising to that they not only managed to make a movie out of TTG, but people who have seen it have actually enjoyed it. I don't care for TTG, but... I'll be damned. WB and CN got people to like TTG!
I HAVE heard that Teen Titans Go! does parodies pretty well, although their success as a spinoff and comedy as a whole is subjective. But I like the message this movie appears to convey about self-acceptance. I think it's a much better way to respond to the critics than the show's several "attack the critics" episodes. I kind of feel like I shouldn't have laughed when Robin got Bruce Wayne's parents killed and gave everyone a thumbs up, but it got a laugh out of me (albeit a somewhat shocked and incredulous one).
Finally. The 8ball HAS COME BACK to review the most NOTOOOOOORIOUS animation amongst the WORLD! WIDE! WEB! AND EXPRESS HIS... rather unpopular OOOPINIOOONS!!
4:40 BEST PART IN THE MOVIE FOR ME. why? well i had an empy theator, just me and my little sister... and of course, i didnt turn off my phone because there was no reason too. of course when this scene came up i yelled "IM THE ONLY ONE HERE I DONT NEED TO! i browsed reddit a bit during the movie when i felt like it. it was great.
I don't have a grudge against the show, but it never looks good when you dedicate multiple episodes to bashing fans of the original show, without considering that maybe all of the juvenile poop jokes and such are part of the reason people don't like it. But nope, it's nostalgia blindness.
Short, sweet, but to the point. Nice to see you back in the saddle. Oh, one more thing. I'm not sure if you know this, but your review for Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart has been taken down or blocked by Shout! Factory.
First Animatt got it wrong with this film and now this guy also says Teen Titans go to the Movies is a great movie? This is definitely one of the most darkest moments in history.
Hey, anim8ball. If I could suggest something for one of your next reviews, could you maybe review another stop-motion film like "Isle of Dogs" or "Chicken Run"? Thanks.
In my honest opinion, TTG is a decent (and sometimes actually pretty good) show that's just the victim of being overplayed. Don't get me wrong, the bad episodes are REALLY bad. But also, the good episodes are shockingly pretty good as well. I turn it on when I'm bored, and I actually kind of find it funny that the show it was based off was a beloved action series that was really mature. The contrast I think is the whole joke of the series. That being that it went from a serious, sometimes funny action show, to a low-brow comedy show with barely any drama. I can't be the only one that feels this show wouldn't be (as) hated if it wasn't overplayed.
Hey Anim8ball, any chance you'll review other Animated Series to Movie adaptations like Pokemon the First Movie, Digimon the Movie and the two Spongebob Movies? I'd love to see you do those.
ive never seen a more mixed bag of a movie. i feel like some writers wanted to stay true to the trash of the show, while others wanted to make something better. both succeeded in doing so.
I've always heard the hate leveled towards this show always compares it to the 2000s cartoon, but I think a better question would be how this show compares in quality to the comic book version of Teen Titans.
I enjoyed this movie too. My only problem is that I kind of wished they changed up the animation style to fit the big screen. (Like My Little Pony The Movie did.)
Once you've had your fix of recent animated films, you might want to check out Flushed Away. I've rarely heard anyone mention it, and I think it's Aardman's first (and maybe only) fully CGI film
I still wonder why they didn't get Ron Perlman to voice Slade? Did he took one look at the script and flipped the fingers at the writers/creators of this show.
Well, from what I've heard, this movie's Slade is more light-hearted and comedic from the one Ron voiced in TT: The Aminated Series, and I think that type of potrayal is more suited for someone like Will Arnet rather than Ron Pearlman.
But wouldn't be easy to ask Ron to do a sillier version of Slade considering he did comedic characters from the past? Like Mr. Lancer from Danny Phantom
This film reminded me a little of the Lego Batman Movie. It's nowhere near as good as that but both of these are a lot better than Batman V Superman and the Justice League. Maybe DC should stick to fun silly films like these and leave the cinematic universe to Marvel.
While the movie was enjoyable, Robin's need to have a movie really did bother me. Mostly because my favourite super hero doesn't have a movie yet, and my other favourite super hero (I can't decide between them) doesn't have a good movie. Before anyone asks, Squirrel Girl and Ghost Rider respectively.
My brother hated this movie so much that he stopped watching it halfway through. I heard how awful TTG and the movie are, but its perfectly fine that you are okay with the film itself.
@@unicornbunny5439 not really 3D animated films earned way way more money than Princess and the frog rot example UP which came out in the same year earned 735 million dollars whereas Princess and the frog got 257 million dollars. So no 2D films aren't really profitable anymore compared to the money they're earning with 3D. There's just simply no demand for 2D animation anymore.
I would have watched this sooner, but I was at work. I'm so glad that you reviewed this movie MobrosStudios/Anim8ball sama. I saw this with a few friends after getting back from vacation, and we all enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of this show, but I did watch an episode to see what all the butthurt fans were complaining, and I enjoyed it. I don't see why so many manchildren complain about this show, sure it's not as good as the original but it is pretty funny.
Fair warning anim8ball the Teen Titans, GO! Show is of mostly inferior quality to the film and the titans are not particularly good friends to each other. There's also allot of inappropriate jokes that aren't very funny.
Awesome review, as a fan of the original Teen Titans and a hater of Teen Titans Go I personally absolutely hated this movie LOL. How did it receive a score of 91% on RT? That’s a similar score to the Disney Renaissance Movies. I’d give Teen Titans Go To The Movies 0 stars out of 5!

That's what real friends do.
But thats what they do, they make fun of him for the whole movie but then it shows near the end that they actually care for eachother
This film is definitely a fluke. The writing and everything is a lot more clever than the real show. It's hard to believe that they share the same writers.
Maybe the writers were giving their all for this movie.
+Red Blade Renegade I don't see the show a lot, but I remember that there's an episode where they basically inserted themselves in an episode and their characters were fed up with writing episodes. Maybe that's actually the case and their strict schedule for the show made them rush scripts out.
Ok, the Jade Wilson thing is kinda clever to me because in the comics, Deathstroke (the character Slade is based on) is named Slade Wilson.
wait so they cant say deathstroke but they can say deadpool?
Well, to be fair, him being called Slade is something carried over from the original show.
ah. should probably watch that...
Oh. Very interesting.:03

Ehh, nostalgia blindless I'd argue is definetly a factor, but on the other hand it is still an awful & brainless series compared to the original.
I'm uncomfortable with the copious amounts of barely legally taken phone footage.

This videos going to get taken down by Warner Brothers because you're using footage from the movie that you recorded on your phone
The footage is not from him, he got it somewhere in the internet.

BrainDeadBastard Well that was productive.
Warner's Ahead: You've been spoiled!
Hey man, How are you doing? Glad to see you again.
How did you get footage of the movie? It looked like you recorded footage in the theater.
Did you really not expect that Jade Wilson was Slade Wilson?
To be honest I thought jade Wilson was going to be slades wife but I loved the idea that they went with.
Uh oh, I think he's in one of those episodes again; he hasn't been active in over a month.
He's gotta prepare for this year's Halloween too.

Bra in the 3 min mark, you sum up TTG
The first review ever to not have a #/10.
Wasn't expecting that
Teen Titans Go looks nothing like the original Teen Titans
MrWanapon no shit
Inkwell what?
It’s been a while hasn’t it?
He uploaded a video only a week ago.
Midcall Yeah I didn’t that until I looked at his profile.
I really loved the Stan Lee scene!!! :D

I don't give shits about the spoilers for a movie called Teen Titans go to the movies
The show sucks, but this movie is awesome. I really didn't want to see it, but it was my brother's birthday celebration. It ended up really good.
T DOUBLE RE-GRET WASTING MY MONEY THIS SHIT

The movie is considerably better than the show IMO.
usually it's the movie that ruins the show but this time it's the other way around

Why do people spazz about Rotten Tomatoes aggregate scores, especially at first.
Harry Thomas Pictures someone doesn't know that Nostalgia isn't the only thing that makes something good
This is the worst movie I seen.
Yep. My brother hated this movie so much that he stopped watching it halfway through.
Very nice my friend 👌 Like. 👍😤
I still HATE Teen Titans GO and I have no interest in there movie
Same here.
