    That is cool. I was never sure about these hydration packs but I am actually considering getting one of those.

    I just bought the 2L pack and LOVE it for my day hikes!! However, I am looking forward to your maintenance video as I am concerned about cleaning the portion of the tube that is permanently attached to the pack; you can't put a cleaning brush into that portion (as far as I can tell, because of how the removable portion attaches), and it is very difficult to remove all the water from it, thereby it will never fully dry and is a potential bacteria breeding ground. The detachable portion is much easier to deal with. Do you have any tips? Thank you!

      Hello, I have yet to give it a detailed cleaning. I soak the mouthpiece in distilled vinegar 2x per month, and since it is summertime, I just hang the bladder outside and let it air dry. So far, so good.
      I will give it a good cleaning soon and will post a video.
      Thank you for your support!

    this looks great, just bought one on Amazon , i am a mountain biker and these things are great.
    question though , when you detach the drinking tube fromthe quick connect , does the quick connect leak water if the bladder is filled ?

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  23 дні тому

      Hello, mine does let some water come out when the tube is not attached but it trickles more than it pours. Especially if I lean the pack up against something and there is a bit of pressure on it.
      Good luck and thank you for your support!

      @@CoachHelder so if I fill the bladder up and let it sit in the fridge over night without the straw it'll most likely spill ?

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  21 день тому +1

      No, I think that you will be fine. I tested it yesterday and only a bit of water, that was left over from the detached hose, came out.

    What's the diameter of the opening? Is it the same size as a Nalgene Water bottle? - I ask, because I'm looking for a water bladder where I can connect my water filter (MSR Guardian) directly to it, to have a closed system.

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  3 місяці тому

      Hello, I just measured the opening and it is 2.25 inches.
      I hope that helps.

    Do I have to cut a mouthpiece?

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  23 дні тому

      No, you do not. It already has the slit. Just bite and drink.

      @@CoachHelder I had a piece that wasn't cut through, so I had to cut it a little with a knife

      That is very strange. It sounds like a defect from the manufacturer.

      I agree with @CoachHelder re manufacturer defect. I bought this pack a few weeks ago and the bite piece works brilliantly. I hope yours is working well now!
