You just watch the greatest opera singer of all time I just wish I could have got to see him in person before he passed away now I just listen to his music
You have GREAT Taste!!! 50 years i been listening to him!!! i was 3 when i asked my mom to play the man for me mommy. In his movie he holds the last note 18 seconds!!!
Not an opera fan, but THIS??!! It is the most beautiful and powerful piece of music!! Thank you for listening the whole way through, before commenting!! ❤️
This performance took place thirty years ago. And Pavarotti passed away 17 years ago. To this day this performance is still being discussed and beloved. What a loss to all of us. RIP Maestro.
A magnificent performance by a magnificent artist, & a wonderful reaction by yourself Jam. First time listening to you & ive subscribed to your Chanel & pressed the bell. I would like to introduce another artist singing the same Aria. This time it’s a young lady by the name of Amira Willighagen who won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine, remarkably without a single singing lesson. She was 13 in the following performance : Amira Willighagen singing Nessun Dorma. Please select the live concert performance. Cheers. Graeme. ps. This young lady is a modern day prodigy as described by various other Reactors.
He is constantly winking. :) But hey nice reaction. :) But of course this is my favorite song overall, i do not even know how often i did listen to it. Second to that comes only Disturbed - Sound of Silence, but even that masterpiece is far behind Nessun Dorma by Luciano.
I forgot to mention your comments that he was so natural & still . When you react to Amira, she has all of his attributes &/she will blow you away with her passionate performance. Cheers again, Graeme. Please give me a thumbs up if you’re interested. Don’t let this one slip through, she’s too good.
@@jorgechavesfilho thanks, I watched that reaction. She got a little confused as I didn’t recommend Amazing Grace, but I did recommend others. Never mind, I love Amazing Grace also. Cheers
Nessun Dorma means No one sleeps. A prince is waiting for morning when he will compete to win the hand of the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot (Turr-on-doe). He must answer her three questions correctly or lose his head. He is not worried, he knows he will be victorious (vincero!) He has kept his name a secret (his reputation is not that good!). The Princess has sent her servants all over town, asking questions, trying to discover who he is. So the title of the opera, Nessun Dorma, means "no one sleeps".
Almost... To find his name before dawn, the desperate Princess commands that no-one in Peking may sleep until his name is discovered. Hence the chorus singing the edict Nessun Dorma ( in this case meaning "None may sleep"). Calaf repeats this command ironically, adding "You too Princess in your cold room".
Translation: Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! Tu pure, o Principessa, nella tua fredda stanza, guardi le stelle che tremano d'amore, e di speranza! None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Not even you, oh Princess, in your cold bedroom, watching the stars that tremble with love, and with hope! Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me; il nome mio nessun saprà! No, No! Sulla tua bocca, lo dirò quando la luce splenderà! But my secret is hidden within me; no one will know my name! No, no! On your mouth, I will say it when the light shines! Ed il mio bacio scioglierà il silenzio che ti fa mia! And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! Just before the climactic end of the aria, a chorus of women is heard singing in the distance: Il nome suo nessun saprà, E noi dovrem, ahimè, morir, morir! No one will know his name, and we will have to, alas, die, die! Calaf, now certain of victory, sings: Dilegua, o notte! Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle! All'alba, vincerò! Vincerò! Vincerò! Vanish, o night! Fade, you stars! Fade, you stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!

Good reaction my friend...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...The passion and dedication when interpreting a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on UA-cam covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Floor Jansen, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....Thank you.

Interesting you should say he's not breathing. Actually, in a sense, you are absolutely correct. Opera singers use their diaphragms to support the sound. The diaphragm is a group of involuntary muscles. So if I think "I'm breathing", the diaphragm isn't. So he has to just let the diaphragm do it's thing - "It breathes" - (obviously, after years of training it to do so. 😄). You are also the only "reactor" I've seen on UA-cam who actually pronounced his name correctly. It's Lu-chAh-no. (The i after the c only tells you to pronounce it CH instead of K).
If you want to raect to more Pavarotti I recommend either Celeste Aide from Aida or O Sole Mio. If you do react to O Sole Mio and like it, I found a version by another Italian singer called Cecilia Bartoli, which I think is better than Pavarotti's .
